1001 Albums Summary

Not really a big fan of Radiohead so i can take or leave this one. Musically not bad and you can see the talent but doesnt do it for me.

This is a great album selection...especially for those whose blood runs cold when they hear the words "drum solo".

Not bad...not brilliant. He has done much better than this over the years.

I like Elvis Costello. This is a nice album. Is it one of the 1001 in my opinion? Probably not, but I would still listen to it in a moment of nostalgia in remberence of a distant youth!

An important album of its time. Sounds a little bloated now and could have benfited from being provided as a single album.

Alright if you like this sort of thing. I do like hearing their hits...memories of early childhood, time, place etc.

Nice well produced songs that are occasionally derivative and fall into the "tortured soul pouring immortal longings" category. May listen to it again in the future but no real highlights.

Late comers basically copycat british punk cleaned up for the us market. Well produced but im not 15 years old and ive heard it all before. Singer looks like bit of a tit.

Another slice of life from the thinking mans Coldplay. Highly probable i will not listen to this again although it wss ok to listen to. Didnt knock my socks off.

Nice pop. Wouldnt cross the road to engage with this but can the appeal. Nothing new to offer.

Never heard of them. This is a fantastic find. On my playlist for now.

Good use of echoplex...and Small Hours is a favorite.

Modern day Syd Barret stuff. Album suffers from poor editing. Cut it down to 8 to 10 tracks and this could have been great. Way too much stuffing.

I like the concept of Lenny Kravitz and enjoy some of his tunes. Just gets a little repitative and dull.

His lyrics are fantastic...his autobiography a hoot...the Smiths were great....and his role as a curmudgeon spot on. Solo stuff....well, its not the Smiths is it. And therein lies the priblem.

I should like Rush. I dont. They are overated in my opinion. But a lit of people adore them so i may be wrong.
