Maybe it’s because I havn’t listened to piano music in awhile, but really enjoyed the listen.
Not everything Dylan touched was gold…
Arguably the 5th or 6th best Stevie album…. But it’s still Stevie. 4/5
Great album… but trying to be judicious in the rankings. Very solid 3/5
100/10. RIP D’Angelo. So smooth, so cool. He was on my list of artists I have wanted to see for a long time and never made it happen😢
Beatles are one of the biggest bands ever for a reason… but not one of their best albums. 3.5
It’s fine. Was never a huge Screaming Trees guy…
I really like live albums… but cheap trick isn’t there to off my list. Need to be in the mood for them.
Classic album and huge influence on a lot of acts I like.
Enjoyed the album, but not in the regular rotation.
I get down with it. Fun beats and vibe.
That vintage sound is money… but still only a 3/5 but me
Didn’t do it for me today. Almost too apathetic.
Super fun, but have to be in mood. I remember having a fishbone shirt when I was younger (like 8), but had no idea who they were.
Enjoyed the hits. Not a five, but close.
Iconic album … but only a 4 four for me. It’s not that I don’t like it… I just find myself skipping some songs.
Cool indie sound… so 3. But not sure if I will revisit soon.
Love Bowie… but this wasn’t my favorite album of his.
Love this album… no skips. Whenever I talk about a top albums, this one comes up. Full 5/5.
Really solid album. Really liked it for a long time. It embodies that hip hop soul sound of the time.
Was not familiar with the group… found some catchy tunes… 2.5.
I really like David Gray… cool voice with good instrumentals behind him. Sold 7.5/10
Liked in high school but doesn’t have the staying power as other albums. Probably just under a 3.
I have never done a deep dive on Genesis… although maybe I should (although I listened to other stuff on different albums and liked them more…) solid 3.
What was that hot garbage? Ok, maybe hot garbage is a little harsh. In the right mood that might work… but I was not in the mood to go all experimental prog jazz today. Only a 1 😬
Love this album. It’s just an amazing ride through a chill guitar dad rock. Full 5/5
I like the cars… but they are not I regular rotation. Good background music.
Didn’t love the singers voice. Tunes had a nice beat. Probably won’t revisit anytime soon.
Best singer I have ever seen live. This album is a masterpiece and really live everything she puts out. Full 5/5.
One of the coolest sounding rock bands. Two days in a row with full 5/5 albums.
A crappy Rolling Stones… would enjoy in a small club… but not beyond that.
I have really leaned into jazz lately and this hits just right.
Solid 3.5. REM is one of those bands I liked in high school and still really enjoy. I really wish they would play live again! It’s a unique voice on top of solid instrumentals. Not REM’s best album, but a lot to like.
His album Harvest is a 5… after the gold rush…a 2.5. He has a unique voice that, for me, only works on certain songs. This album has some… but just some.
I like a good rap album with skits. It’s nostalgic and can be clever. This wasn’t my favorite… but respect the artistry. 2.5
Talking heads are a favorite (Remain in the Light is an all time album). This album has its bright moments… but also had a few lowlights as well. I’ll go 3.5.
Don’t know if it’s because it’s a Friday and it is getting warmer out, but really enjoyed the listen. Much better than the other Dylan album. Solid 4
Funky, groovy, and on YouTube because… you know, Spotify, so I had to stay engaged. Anytime an album makes you want to get up and dance… solid.
Listening brought me back to Graceland… Elvis’ story is so complicated and sad… but I feel like 60’s Elvis was a little too canned. 3.4
I feel like the 80s are a bit of a hole in my listening habits, but maybe I should revisit. Really great album. There is a reason he is in hall of fame.
He has such a deep catalog… liked it alot more than the previous album we reviewed. Fun experimental 70s album… sign me up.
Good in the right setting… but not something I will revisit often.
Solid album… didn’t blow me away, but enjoyed it. Solid 3.
Really enjoyed the album. Not the most sonically advanced record, but something about their voices and lyrics hits me the right way.
Did not expect to enjoy that as much as I did. Even had some jam adjacent psych rock… 3.9
Is it bad if I rate this album a 3? Just average? Moments I really enjoyed, but felt disjointed at times… I’m a horrible person.
100/10… one of my favorites bands of all time. Just the right amount of energy/funk/rock/hiphop/freedom. Also one of the most electric live bands out there. A true 5 gem.
I’ll go 3.4…. Early electronic sounds that are fun for a moment, but no sticking power FOR ME (I capitalized “for me,” so don’t “at” me). I really want it to be cooler…
Never heard of this group before, but the voice was pretty recognizable. Of Albarn’s projects, blur and Gorillaz are far better (IMO) than this record. I probably like rocket juice and the moon more too… but don’t mean this album is bad… maybe will grow on me.
Good synth fun… but not something I will revisit. It’s like art where you are like… that’s nice but not something I will seek out.
Really dig this album. It’s fun, accessible and musically interesting. 4.7.
Do I not like Bowie’s voice? Is that it? Other than some hits, I have not dug deep into Bowie. Most of these songs started with a decent groove and some sax too…Bowie’s voice didn’t make them better. (Although Fame is an absolute banggggger). 3.6
I really like Curtis Mayfield’s voice though.. and that funk. Going 4.1 on this.
Kind of got bored… wasn’t horrible, but not feeling it.
I really like Lynyrd Skynyrd… does that make me a bad person?? Super solid 4.7 Free bird…one of the best.
Felt a bit cheesy for me… couldn’t really get into it.
Had not really dug into war other than their hits. That was a mistake and I ask for forgiveness. This group is rad.
It has been awhile since I listened to this album… still stands up. 3.8.
RIP Freddy. Queen is an amazing worldwide phenomenon. Not every song on this album is generational, but some generational ones on it for sure. 4.4
Probably would have liked them more in high school… but not bad.
I’m not a huge 80s guy, but Jesus and the Mary chain are an exception. 3.6
It’s wild something recorded in 1959 can still resonate. If that isn’t a testament of music I don’t know what is. 3.4.
Honestly… could not get into it. Some songs were more NIN sounding and could get behind. But the rest felt less musical and more shock to me. 1.2
I feel like this was a good get out of bed and start the day album. However, unlikely I revisit anytime soon. 2.8
70s rock at its finest. Tight band, fun songs, and lots of nostalgia. 4.3.
Listened to this one twice. First time I did not like it… the second time I was more chill and really liked it. Prob go a 3 👏
So smoooooth and a great voice. I’m going to go 4.4.
I liked this more than I thought I would. Have always thought Rod Stewart was cheesy, but this album was catchy and fun. 3.4
5… don’t need to say anything else.
What was that… never heard of this artist and will probably not revisit… but that music had feeling and I appreciate that.
I listened to a ton of punk during my youth (still so if the mood is right). I love that it is so “bad” it is actually good. 3.6
I loved it at first… and then I found myself wanting to change the station. I guess I like my salsa like I like wasabi… just a touch. 2.7
Transformative rock… really enjoyed all the way through. 4.1
Felt… boring. Never heard of this group and might not again (sorry).
Low key vibed with the pop star. Beautiful and dirty… going 4.0
Fight the power!!! Felt a bit repetitive at times, but solid 3.3
If I was cooler I feel like I would like them more… but not bad. 3.0
I like the name of the group 😂. I vibe with some of the tunes (shout out take your mama)… but over all only going 2.2. Hard to really get into it.
I was just talking about how the fleet foxes injected me with energy once… great chill but still upbeat album. Going 4.5!!
Just my kind of weird. Quality 4.3.
Didn’t do tons for me. I mean, it’s no pixies. All and all can only go 2.3.
At one point this was one of my favorite albums (along with the foo fighters self titled album). While it is still an absolute gem, has not had the staying power as other albums… 4.3
Loved this jazz offering. Smooth cool and satisfying. 4.2
Live and energetic… love it! Wish I could be a fly the wall during this show. 4.4
One of the most underrated groups. So funky and fun. Some of their other albums are better, but a real solid 4.3.
As long as I picture an angry man singing, then I like it. I’d say a solid 3.2
Banger on top of banger on top of banger… unfortunately I really dislike the Gallagher brothers… but the album is a very quality 4.4.
I’m here for it. The gritty synth, driving beats, blues riffs, and wacky Morrison vocals. 4.2
I feel like I’m at riot fest. Quality old school I don’t care rock. Solid3.4
Song 2 is an absolute banger… rest of the album suffers because that is such a good song. 2.8
Not even a top 4 stevie album and still a very solid 4.5. One of the best. Dancing crying and contemplating here while watching volleyball. Takes you to a better world. Stevie!!!!
I know I’m supposed to like dinosaur jr more, but it has never clicked for me. Decent rock…but really only a 2.1 today.
When born on the bayou started, I knew I was in the right place. Proud Mary… yes! Could have done without the good golly Miss Molly cover… but love me some ccr. 4.4
I listened to it twice, and both times I was like, I should really like this. It has all the elements of songs I usually like…. But I just don’t. 1.8
I love Paul Simon and Train in the Distance is my favorite tune of his. The rest of the album
Is really good, but not great. Strong 4.1
I’ve tried to get into MBV before. I guess there is a reason I never could. Trying way too hard to be cool. I said it. 1.8
Chicago’s own Common! Excited to see him on this list. So smooth and chill but at the same time insuring. 4.1
Don’t hate me… but I liked it. Gritty instruments, and a Dylan that still tried to sing. Call me crazy, but 3.4
That was rough. The mix, the songs, the vocals… even the cover. If I never listen to the cramps again that will be too much. 1.4.
Great early 2000s alt rock. Not the same staying power as some other albums of that period, but a 3.8.
This is one of the 1001 best albums??? Musically I interesting at times, but no plans to revisit. 2.0
When I first read it I thought it said Sex Pistols, clicked the link and the humpty dance came on… there was a real cheesy period of rap and this fit right in that. I can get down at times, but only a 2.3 for me.
