I like Metallica, I can see the appeal of the album. It's a little too pop oriented for most of it and forgettable for the rest. It's no Master of Puppets!

I was always an '80s hater. And a Morrissey hater. He just always seemed so whiny. I saw him at a festival and he refused to play until every vendor quit serving meat. The worst type of person. That being said, the '80s have been growing on me lately and this album wasn't as much of a depressing slog as I thought it would be. Death of a Disco Dancer in particular I really enjoyed. Can't bring myself to go above a 3 though.

This is a great album. Aggressive from beginning to end, it knows what it wants. There was really only one song ("Township Rebellion") where I thought "this is probably a skip." Solid 4/5.
