Was never a fan of Disco at and I did roll my eyes when this came up but the whole point is to listen to things you would never pick. I'm still not a fan of Disco after listening to this but damn this album is filled with floor filling bangers. Good work Ladies, it's not my thing but I *have* to respect it.

Not a great one. One good track but a little too Jazzy experimental for me.

A required staple but no-one's favourite album.

Why was "Paint it Black" not on the UK version? Accidently played that one and got "Mother's little Helper" as the opening track. 2 Stars for the UK version and 3 for the US only cause "Paint it Black" is a banger. Rest of it's "meh"

A fine 90's Britpop album than for some will define the summer of '96 and live in memory forever. For me, happy if I never have to listen to it again.

Jazz... Sorry but jazz in any form is an instant 1 from me. Maybe that means I'm uncultured or something but it's just not working for me.

The start of Hair Metal? Passable album but I'll probably never listen to it again.

Can't separate the man from the music.

St Pepper's Lonely Prototype Band

Landmark album but early Hip Hop has aged poorly.

Weird album but a good listen. Went through every musical style and I felt like I was speed running the 1960's.

Why did I like this? It was weird but also cool?

Very mid. Very repetitive. Not sure why it's on this list. Very repetitive. There are far better examples from the 90's for this genre. Very repetitive.

Cocktail lounge background music. Not bad.

Would have been a 5 but I'm not cool enough for these people.

Extra point for Smoke on the Water, otherwise just a bit boring..

Like Bowie there are always one or two great songs in there among the rest. This is why Greatest Hits albums exist.

Started like Tears for Fears, went Beach Boys for a minute then got interesting..

Tried to listen a few time but it just kind of fades into the background. Weird.

Sounds like the closing credits song on every edgy 1980s film ever... In fairness they seem to have got to this particular sound five years before anyone else did so an extra point for mot being derivative.

2 down, 5 to go. I was going to give this a "1" automatically but I actually gave this a "3" initially when I was on track three thinking maybe I was being too harsh on him. Then, I continued to listen to this pretentious harmonica filled ratshit and had to go back. When I hit the "hilarious" opening of track 7 I had to come back in here and say always go with your first thought. 1 star. Bob Dylan sucks.

Impressed that they found their "sound" on their debut album.

First track is a classic but the rest is meh. Unworthy of being on this list.

Sounds like every other bucket hat wearing Oasis like album from Manchester in the 90's. It's fine, if you like that sort of thing.

I was on high Jazz Alert but yeah this was cool. Need to be in a specific mood (and humidity level) for this but yeah, nice one. An good example of something I would never have found otherwise.

I don't want to be classified as a Radiohead fan but yeah... this was pretty good..

Urgh, prog rock it's going to be all twiddly and folk isn't it? It's OK you can do this, it's only 7 tracks. You'll be through this in no time. Yeah you're right, I mean this is why we're doing this right? Try out new music expand your horiz - TRACK ONE IS TWENTY MINUTES LONG?!?

An undeserved spot on the list. Boring. Not bad but just samey and boring. If you like that kind of thing then carry on but really? 1001 greatest Albums ever? No...

Didn't hate it but I guess his voice just splits opinion right down the middle.

Defined a year for me so always a special one. Was a bit pre-fabricated but set the tone. Version 2 is a stronger album IMHO
