Popular Reviews

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath

While I’m familiar with Black Sabbath and have liked the few songs I’ve heard before, this was my first time diving into a full album. Was genuinely surprised at how much I liked this given I usually am not a heavy metal fan. The guitar, drums, and even Ozzy’s voice all sound really good here. Likes: Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener, Changes, Snowblind, Cornucopia, Under The Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes

Having an album called Destroy Rock & Roll and then delivering an uninspiring, boring, bland album is certainly a choice.

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith

Have been in a jazz kick recently and this hit the spot. Likes: When I Grow Too Old To Dream; Minor Chant

The Predator by Ice Cube

Good production and beats, solid delivery, and some pretty heavy subject matter. Crazy he’s making crappy Amazon movies now. Likes: When Will They Shoot; The Predator; It Was A Good Day; Check Yo Self

Who's Next by The Who
Feb 17 2026

While the album’s middle parts don’t have as much pull as the incredible start and finish, it’s not enough to bring down the overall quality of this album. Likes: Baba O’Riley, The Song is Over, Going Mobile, Behind Blue Eyes, Won’t Get Fooled Again

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Feb 18 2026

A little too twangy for me. Likes: Return of the Grievous Angel, In My Hour of Darkness

Feb 23 2026

I don’t hate it, it’s just not my genre. Likes: One More Hour, Little Babies

Feb 24 2026

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Mar 07 2026

While I’m familiar with Black Sabbath and have liked the few songs I’ve heard before, this was my first time diving into a full album. Was genuinely surprised at how much I liked this given I usually am not a heavy metal fan. The guitar, drums, and even Ozzy’s voice all sound really good here. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Mar 10 2026

This was the first one I’ve gotten where it felt like a slog to get through. 2+ hours of song after song with a nasally/whiny voice is too much. Only a few saving graces in this. Likes: Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Galapagos, 1979

Real Life by Magazine
Mar 11 2026

Enjoyable Likes: Shot by Both Sides, Burst

Goo by Sonic Youth
Mar 12 2026

I equate this album to what it would feel like if I liked The Smiths. Likes: Darklands, Happy When It Rains, April Skies, On The Wall

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Mar 14 2026

As someone who is a big rap fan I was excited to do a full dive into this. It was cool to see how future artists would sample this. The beats, instrumentals, and whole vibe of this album is very fun, but man their rapping style is mainly just yelling which can get old fast. Likes: The New Style, Fight For Your Right, No Sleep Till Brooklyn, Brass Monkey

Mar 15 2026

I don’t hate it but it’s kinda bland. Likes: One More Name, Buenos Noches from a Lonely Room

This might just be my genre. Likes: Cloud Nine, Runaway Child Running Wild, Don’t Let Him Take Your Love From Me, I Gotta Find A Way

Mar 19 2026

There’s so many better gangsta rap albums from the 90’s….stick to Law and Order. It’s not all bad, but way too long, and sounds dated and corny. Likes: Mic Contract, New Jack Hustler, Body Count

Mar 20 2026

I didn’t want to be that cliche guy who, like everyone else, says this is a masterpiece…but damn this is good. Likes: Breathe, Time, The Great Gig in the Sky, Money, Us And Them, Brain Damage

Come Find Yourself by Fun Lovin' Criminals
Mar 23 2026

there’s really just nothing going on here for me

Started out fun and unique but then quickly got repetitive and obnoxious and I found myself looking at the clock as the album continued. Likes: Fascist Groove Thang, Penthouse and Pavement

I be dancing to this, queen. Likes: The Visitors, Head Over Heels, When All Is Said and Done, Soldiers

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Mar 28 2026

This is hard because it’s basically 2 different albums and I like the first side a lot more. There’s still enough gems scattered throughout though to make this a worthwhile listen/experience. Likes: Get Ready for Love; Cannibal’s Hymn; Hiding All Away; There She Goes, My Beautiful World; Breathless; Supernaturally; Carry Me

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Mar 29 2026

Mar 30 2026

Lauren Boebert wishes she could be Alanis at a theater. Likes: All I Really Want; You Outta Know; Hand In My Pocket; Head Over Feet; Ironic

Mar 31 2026

Was hoping this would resonate with me a little more given my preference to the genre. The band, energy, and performance were great but ironically, there’s something about Brown’s voice that just didn’t stick the landing. Likes: I’ll Go Crazy; Try Me; I Don’t Mind

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 01 2026

The lyrics and storytelling are all there but I don’t think it’s as sonically consistent as some of his other albums. Still a solid play through. Likes: Born in the USA; Cover Me; Working on the Highway; I’m On Fire; Dancing in the Dark

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Apr 02 2026

Emotional and a little aggressive…but I don’t hate it! Likes: Rid of Me; Rub Til it Bleeds; Highway 61 Revisited; 50ft Queenie

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Apr 03 2026

Fun, funky, and punchy Likes: Ether, Natural’s Not In It; I Found That Essence Rare

Murmur by R.E.M.
Apr 04 2026

Kinda peaceful, kinda boring Likes: Laughing; Catapult; Sitting Still

Apr 05 2026

Having an album called Destroy Rock & Roll and then delivering an uninspiring, boring, bland album is certainly a choice.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Apr 06 2026

A pretty basic album where Young really doesn’t sound that great here. Surprised this made the list given his lengthy discography. Likes: Over and Over; Mansion on the Hill

Apr 07 2026

This was really nice! Ray’s voice and the instrumentals all work really well together to create a smooth sound throughout. Likes: Bye Bye Love; You Don’t Know Me; It Makes No Difference Now; Careless Love

Apr 08 2026

Spooky yet calming Likes: Pilots; Utopia

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Apr 09 2026

I was stressed listening to this

Bandwagonesque by Teenage Fanclub
Apr 10 2026

A pleasant listen, but nothing really stands out here. Likes: What You Do To Me; Star Sign; Guiding Star

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Apr 11 2026

An album that really makes you feel and want to care. Everything about this is great: Gaye’s voice, the instrumentals, the way each song flawlessly transitions from one to another, the lyrics and message. No notes. Likes: What’s Going On; Flyin High; God is Love; Mercy Mercy Me; Inner City Blues

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Apr 12 2026

Did I understand what was being said? No. Did that stop me from enjoying this record? Absolutely not! The horns, the keys, the drums, and the vocals all create this fun, engaging, and atmospheric listen. A really good example of music overcoming barriers. Likes: Plástico; Buscando Guayaba; Pedro Navaja; Maria Lionza; Siembra

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Apr 13 2026

A fun easy listen! Likes: Our Lips Are Sealed; Tonight This Town

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Apr 14 2026

Good storytelling, solid flow, great instrumentals, mixed messaging (gangster rap is always hit and miss with me), TERRIBLE skits. Likes: Gimme the Loot; Machine Gun Funk; Juicy; Big Poppa; Suicidal Thoughts

Headquarters by The Monkees
Apr 15 2026

A pleasant album which seems to be very similar to that of The Beatles’ early albums. Not necessarily a bad thing, but nothing to rave about. Likes: You Told Me; I’ll Spend My Life With You; You Just May Be The One; No Time

Winter In America by Gil Scott-Heron
Apr 16 2026

The rabbit hole down YouTube to listen to this is well worth it. The keys, the flutes, Heron’s voice all work so well together to create a cohesive smooth still thematically relevant listen decades after its release. Likes: Peace Go With You, Brother; Rivers of My Fathers; Back Home; The Bottle; Songs for Bobby Smith; Your Daddy Loves You

Apr 18 2026

Entertaining and unique listen but can definitely get repetitive and annoying at times. Likes: Right Here Right Now; Rockafeller Skank; Praise You

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Apr 19 2026

Less chaotic and experimental than their other albums, but I think it still works and is an enjoyable listen. Likes: Candy Says; What Goes On; Pale Blue Eyes; The Murder Mystery; After Hours

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Apr 20 2026

It’s not bad, it’s actually quite enjoyable I thought. My biggest issue is the consistency because it can’t seem to pick a lane when it comes to genres and it comes off as whiplash. Likes: The Whole Point of No Return; Me Ship Came In; My Ever Changing Moods; You’re The Best Thing

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Apr 21 2026

Kind of annoying and whiny, but it does grow on you a little with some re-listens. Overall, doesn’t live up to the hype. Likes: Gigantic; River Euphrates; Where Is My Mind?

Moondance by Van Morrison
Apr 22 2026

A nice blend of rock, folk, and jazz. Likes: And It Stoned Me; Moondance; Crazy Love; Caravan; Glad Tidings

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Apr 23 2026

Don’t think it lives up to the hype of all his other hits, but still a fun listen. Likes: Tiny Dancer; Levon; Madman Across the Water

Gold by Ryan Adams
Apr 24 2026

There’s few reasons in my opinion for an album to have a long runtime, and this doesn’t meet those exceptions. The first few songs were actually pretty enjoyable, nothing special, but good background music that blends together, but it starts to take its toll at When the Stars Go Blue. Likes: New York New York; Firecracker; Answering Bell; The Rescue Blues

Play by Moby
Apr 25 2026

Sometimes this works but a lot of times the songs come off as repetitive and un-engaging. Likes: South Side; Everloving

25 by Adele
Apr 26 2026

This worked for me Likes: Hello; Send My Love; When We Were Young; Remedy; Water Under The Bridge

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Apr 27 2026

Funky! Likes: Maggot Brain; Can You Get To That; Wars of Armageddon

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Apr 28 2026

It can get a little monotonous at times. But overall a very jazzy, smooth, and cool listen. Likes: Excursions; Buggin Out; Butter; Verses From The Abstract; Check The Rhime; Everything Is Fair; Jazz (We’ve Got)

Apr 29 2026

Regardless of language, jazz and hip hop always seem to complement each other. Likes: Qui sème le vent récolte le tempo; Victime de la mode; Caroline; Bouge de là (Part 1 & 2)

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Apr 30 2026

This has always been a favorite of mine: beautiful voice, jazzy instrumentals, and a talent gone too soon. Likes: Rehab; You Know I’m No Good; Just Friends; Back to Black; Tears Dry on Their Own; He Can Only Hold Her; Addicted

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
May 01 2026

This was probably groundbreaking at the time, but I feel like electronic music has come a long way since then so this doesn’t really do a whole lot for me. Likes: Life is Sweet

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
May 02 2026

Cool art for cool music. Likes: Sunday Morning; I’m Waiting For The Man; Femme Fatale; Heroin; I’ll Be Your Mirror

I liked this one a little more than her last album I listened to since it was more rock heavy than grunge. Likes: Big Exit; Good Fortune; A Place Called Home; The Whores Hustle and the Hustlers Whore; The Mess We’re In; This Is Love

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
May 04 2026

Have been in a jazz kick recently and this hit the spot. Likes: When I Grow Too Old To Dream; Minor Chant

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
May 05 2026

Underrated album from Led Zeppelin that does a great job of blending of rock, metal, and blues. Likes: Good Times Bad Times; Babe I’m Gonna Leave You; Dazed and Confused; Communication Breakdown; How Many More Times

Suede by Suede
May 06 2026

Pretty standard British rock/pop. Not bad but nothing really stands out either. Likes: So Young; Animal Nitrate; Moving

In It For The Money by Supergrass
May 07 2026

Second generic Brit pop/rock band in a row. Same as before: it’s not bad, just not a whole lot that sticks with you. Likes: G Song; Cheapskate; You Can See Me

With The Beatles by Beatles
May 08 2026

3rd British pop/rock band in a row, 2nd Beatles album so far. Definitely not The Beatles’ best, some good gems in there but overall, seemingly like most British pop/rock, very basic and middle of the road. Likes: All I’ve Got To Do; All My Loving; Till There Was You; You Really Got A Hold On Me

Diamond Life by Sade
May 09 2026

This is something I would like to be played in the waiting room for all my doctor appointments (good thing). Jazzy, relaxing, cool, and atmospheric. Likes: Smooth Operator; Your Love Is King; Hang On To Your Love; Cherry Pie

Microshift by Hookworms
May 10 2026

Call me worm the way this got me hooked (pause for laughter). This was a fun blend of electronic and rock and I found myself bopping along throughout my listen. Likes: Negative Space; Static Resistance; Ullswater; Opener; Shortcomings

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
May 11 2026

Dark and broody Likes: First We Take Manhattan; Everybody Knows; Take This Waltz

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
May 12 2026

What a weird band (good thing) Likes: I Zimbra; Cities; Life During Wartime; Air; Animals

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
May 13 2026

+1 star for the amazing album cover. For a 20 minute song, it surprisingly keeps you hooked the whole time. Other than that, I thought it was a fun listen, but I’m a sucker for the keys. Likes: Tarkus; Bitches Crystals

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
May 14 2026

Really beautiful and peaceful collection of songs. A good combo with tea and a grey day. Likes: Sai Dessa; Saudade Eterna; Rebento; Se Eu Quiser Falar Com Deus

May 15 2026

43 songs is a lot, but the brief runtime of each and the pure energy makes it a worthwhile listen. Likes: Viet Nam; Corona; The Glory of Man; History Lesson Pt. 2; This Ain’t No Picnic

Mothership Connection by Parliament
May 16 2026

Grooving to this while drinking my coffee this AM. They’re right, I do indeed want to get funked up. Likes: Mothership Connection; Unfunky UFO; Give Up The Funk

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
May 17 2026

I like it, but it doesn’t stick with me as much as Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music. Likes: It Had To Be You; Alexander’s Ragtime Band; Am I Blue; Come Rain or Shine

Viva Hate by Morrissey
May 18 2026

I feel the same about this as the other Smith’s album I listened to: It’s fine, nothing that special. Likes: Everyday Is Like Sunday; Suedehead; I Don’t Mind If You Forget Me

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
May 19 2026

Instrumentally I think this is a step up from Licensed to Ill. But delivery and lyrically it’s very consistent and does get tiring song after song. Likes: Egg Man; Car Thief; Shadrach

Throwing Muses by Throwing Muses
May 20 2026

Why would you have 2 albums with the same name? Here’s the link to their debut: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcsIlynY0iwtbZfnfnXYr536aYAzEXn_8&si=xNl25KPyiHz8_Pgp Likes: Green; Stand Up

Smile by Brian Wilson
May 21 2026

The more I listened to this, the more it started growing on me. I appreciate the smaller instrumental details and just the genuine quirkiness of it all. Likes: Our Prayer/Gee; Heroes And Villains; Cabin Essence; Surf’s Up; In Blue Hawaii; Good Vibration

Trio by Dolly Parton
May 22 2026

As someone who grew up on late 90’s early 2000’s country, this was refreshing. The harmonies and the instrumentals work well together and embody the spirit of country way more than some of the more modern country. That being said, about halfway through the sounds blend together and all begins to sound the same. Likes: The Pain of Loving You; To Know Him is to Love Him; Wildflowers

Aja by Steely Dan
May 23 2026

Dads🤝Yachts🤝Rock🤝Jazz🤝Me Not sure where the hate is coming from, this album is great! Good production and a smooth blend of rock and jazz that creates an enjoyable listen. Likes: Black Cow; Aja; Deacon Blues;Peg; Home At Last

90 by 808 State
May 24 2026

I find it hard to listen to and enjoy the older electronic albums on here because while I’m sure this was groundbreaking for its time, in today’s modern electronic scene, this just comes off as cliche and repetitive. Likes: Magical Dream

May 25 2026

Loud and screechy…but maybe that’s the point? Likes: Rocket Reducer No. 62

Be by Common
May 26 2026

As much as we don’t want to admit it, Ye snapped on these beats. An underrated classic in my opinion: great productions, flow, lyrics, and storytelling. Likes: Be, GO!, Testify; The Food; They Say; It’s Your World

Clandestino by Manu Chao
May 27 2026

The language switch ups on the songs is a refreshing touch. Likes: Clandestino; Desaparecido; Bongo Bong; Luna y Sol

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
May 28 2026

Following up Rumours has to be impossible…and while I don’t think this comes near its quality, there’s still some good songs sprinkled throughout. Likes: Sara; Storms; Angel

Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
May 29 2026

It’s fine, good beats, but nothing too special. Likes: Pigs; Hand On The Pump; Psycobetabuckdown

May 30 2026

Still funky but I liked Maggot Brain more. Likes: One Nation Under A Groove; Who Says A Funk Band Cant Play Rock

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
May 31 2026

Even though you can’t beat some of these classics (even if they’re overplayed) and good riffs, some of this still feels stale. Likes: Welcome To The Jungle; Nightrain; Paradise City; Sweet Child O Mine

Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Jun 01 2026

A weird, horny, and inconsistent motherfuckin album. Like: Something Wicked This Way Comes; Miles

Fragile by Yes
Jun 02 2026

There’s a lot of fun moments here that really make this an enjoyable experience. But those moments are also brought down by why seems to be some random interludes here and there. Likes: Roundabout; South Side of the Sky; Mood for a Day

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Jun 03 2026

I wouldn’t say this was bad, it sounded nice…but wow was this hard to give my full attention to. Likes: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Jun 04 2026

3+ hours is a lot. I get that this is supposed to go through the full songbook here, and there’s lots of great songs…but as a whole it can feel like a burden to go through. That being said, Ella has such a beautiful voice and paired with the instrumentals it creates an overall relaxing and enjoyable listen. Likes: there’s 59 songs total…I can’t remember the various likes throughout

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Jun 05 2026

To me this is an example of electronic music being repetitive yet unique while not sounding annoying. Plus each song seemed to effortlessly transition from one to the next creating a more cohesive sound. Likes: Since I Left You; Stay Another Season; Electricity; Summer Crane; Live at Dominoes

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jun 06 2026

I think I like Led Zeppelin I more, but this is still a damn good album, especially considering it was released in the same year as LZ I. The Heartbreaker to Living Loving combo has always been a favorite of mine. Likes: Whole Lotta Love; What Is And What Should Never Be; Heartbreaker; Living Loving Maid; Ramble On; Moby Dick

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Jun 07 2026

A haunting yet peaceful listen. The guitar and instrumentals on here are really good! Likes: Three Hours; Day Is Done; Fruit Tree; Saturday Sun

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Jun 08 2026

Some of the instrumentals were nice. But Jah’s voice really rubbed me the wrong way. As a whole this didn’t register with me. Side Note: if you’re going to have a song that’s the same name as the album, it should be one of the better ones in the mix.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles

I found their last album, With The Beatles, to be very middle of the road and not that exciting. Here you can really start to hear their improvements and style start to take form. Likes: A Hard Day’s Night; If I Fell; And I Love Her; Can’t Buy Me Love

Jun 10 2026

Cee Lo is one of those artists who works better as a collaborative artist with an occasional single every couple years. Likes: I’ll Be Around; The One; All Day Love Affair

Nostalgia sounds good! Likes: Jaqueline, Take Me Out; The Dark Of The Matinee; Michael

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jun 12 2026

I was a little skeptical about this album because (1) I’m not big on double albums and (2) I’ve heard this album can be inconsistent at times. But I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the full project. Disc 1 is a classic Led Zeppelin album, no notes. We get a little more outside of the typical Zeppelin sound on Disc 2, and honestly, I’m so here for it…it’s more mellow, more funky, and more experimental, and more importantly, it somehow works. Maybe drop the last song because it’s creepy, but other than that, great listen. Likes: All of Disc 1; In the Light; Down by the Seaside; Ten Years Gone; Night Flight; The Wanton Song

Moon Safari by Air
Jun 13 2026

I imagine all the elevators in spaceships and space stations have this on repeat. Likes: La femme d’argent; All I Need; Kelly Watch the Stars; You Make it Easy; Ce martin-là

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Jun 14 2026

The beats and delivery are pretty good, but being edgy for the sake of being edgy doesn’t really make a great album in my opinion. Likes: Role Model; Rock Bottom; Just Don’t Give a Fuck

The White Room by The KLF
Jun 15 2026

Link to album: https://youtu.be/kjqb9_OEySY?si=Qb1cfe9JXnzOYXTv Some random raps and other moments ruin the momentum of this, but overall a fun album. Likes: Make it Rain; 3AM Eternal; Last Train to Trancentral; Justified and Ancient

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jun 16 2026

There’s some really good songs in here, where you can really appreciate how smooth everything sounds. Then there’s some really bland songs in here where you forget what you’re listening to. Likes: Down to the Waterline; Sultans of Swing; Wild West End; Lions

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jun 17 2026

I recently watched the Amy documentary, and it really adds perspective as to all the shitty things about her life. She was a product of her environment which molded her views on relationships/life which influenced the themes in lots of her songs. Overall, not as much pull as Back to Black, but still a very good listen. Likes: Stronger Than Me; You Sent Me Flying; Fuck Me Pumps; I Heard Love Is Blind; No Greater Love; October Song

A Short Album About Love by The Divine Comedy
Jun 18 2026

I have to hold back from giving this a 1 star because it was at least listenable. But dang, this was just really boring and felt unmotivated. Likes: In Pursuit of Happiness

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega

A peaceful and relaxing listen that grows on you with each repeat. Likes: Marlene on the Wall; Knight Moves

B-52's by The B-52's
Jun 20 2026

Infectiously silly and unapologetically weird. Probably one of the few albums where you can learn about animal sounds and the planets. Likes: Dance This Mess Around; Rock Lobster; There’s a Moon in the Sky; 6060-842

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Jun 21 2026

It was nice listen but tbh it doesn’t feel memorable. Likes: White Winter Hymnal; Ragged Wood; Blue Ridge Mountains

Dirty by Sonic Youth

A little too noisy for me. Likes: Theresa’s Sound-World; Sugar Kane

Kid A by Radiohead
Jun 23 2026

I’ve tried to get into Radiohead before with no luck (really just OK Computer), so I was skeptical going into this. Instrumentally this sounds really good. I read a lot about the band and this album after my first listen and learned this is a departure from their typical sound, but this electronic/rock fusion works and creates an almost eerie atmosphere tension. Lyrically I initially struggled here. The few times I listened to Radiohead I didn’t like Yorke’s voice and could barely understand what he was saying. I really immersed myself when listening this time, and the dark cryptic lyrics along with Yorke’s whiny voice compliment the instrumentals really well. Overall I really enjoyed this and am optimistic going into the more “mainstream” Radiohead albums on this list. Likes: Everything is in its Right Place; Kid A; The National Anthem; How to Disappear Completely; Idioteque; Motion Picture Soundtrack

If I wanted to be pestered with questions about my love life I’d spend the week with the family. Likes: Who Do You Love

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jun 25 2026

Here I am again saying I don’t like heavy metal, and yet here I am again saying this is a great Black Sabbath album. Maybe it’s just the loud screamo stuff I hate, but this is really good. The themes, the instrumentals, and the riffs just capture you. Each instrument can be heard and works perfectly together again with Ozzy carrying it on the vocals. Likes: War Pigs; Paranoid; Planet Caravan; Iron Man; Electric Funeral; Hand of Doom

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout

California by American Music Club
Jul 02 2026

A chill and unremarkable listen…with the exception of Bad Liquor, because what the hell was that and who thought that would fit here?? Likes: Somewhere; Western Sky

Jul 03 2026

At a certain point, these songs start to sound all the same…which isn’t very punk rock if you ask me. Likes: New Church; No Time to be 21

Jul 04 2026

First in depth listen to Bob Dylan and hot take: I really don’t think Dylan’s voice is that bad. It compliments the guitar and harmonica really well. This has good storytelling and messages but I’d say my only complaint is that it can feel like it drags on. Likes: Blowin in the Wind; Girl from the North Country; Masters of War; A Hard Rains A Gonna Fall; Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Jul 05 2026

Great beats and production and overall an fun album to listen to. Biggest tragedy is that we don’t learn the answers to the 4 trivia questions. Likes: 3 is the Magic Number; Eye Know; Tread Water; Say No Go; Me Myself and I

Jul 06 2026

I actually liked this a good amount more than I thought I would. Britpop to me can all sound pretty similar and I thought this did a good job of having distinguishing instrumentals and vocals comparatively to other albums I’ve listened to on here. Likes: The Fear; Helped the Aged; This is Hardcore; A Little Soul; Glory Days

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Jul 07 2026

They’re at their best when they’re jamming and not screeching…but even then it gets old fast. Likes: Child in Time

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Jul 08 2026

Insert meme of lady and cat arguing about whether this is called Mercury Deserters Rev Songs or not. This was just okay. Some nice songs but overall forgettable. Likes: Holes; Opus 40; Goddess on a Hiway

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Jul 09 2026

This was consistently good throughout. The production , the vocals, the atmosphere, are all really good here. Likes: 15 Step; Weird Fishes/Arpeggi; Reckoner; House of Cards; Jigsaw Falling Into Place

Jul 10 2026

I think we all sometimes wish we were an eagle, or a bird of your choosing (mine would be a peregrine falcon…but that’s not the point) so you can fly away from your problems. The thing with this album is that Callahan’s voice is so soothing and calming that it captivates you to stay. The melodies of the tracks compliment his voice and overall this was a quite peaceful and relaxing listen. Likes: Jim Cain; Eid Ma Clack Shaw; Rococo Zephyr; All Thoughts are Prey to Some Beasts

Metallica by Metallica
Jul 11 2026

There’s some good drums here but honestly, this genre has always been an uphill climb for me and this album is no exception. Likes: Enter Sandman; The Unforgiven

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jul 12 2026

I don’t think this is peak Led Zeppelin, but it’s still good! Even if each song doesn’t always stick the landing, I appreciate how this is more blues/folk and a left turn from their typical sound. Likes: Immigrant Song; Since I’ve Been Loving You; Gallows Pole; Tangerine; Bron Y Aur Stomp

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Jul 13 2026

Starts to drag on the back half, but not bad Likes: Gimme All Your Lovin; Sharp Dressed Man; Legs

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Jul 14 2026

Chapman’s voice really elevates the storytelling in each of these songs to get the point/message across. So many songs about problems that are still so relevant today even 30+ years later. It’s beautiful, it’s heartbreaking, it’s an amazing album. Comparing this to the likes of Jack Johnson and Michael Bublé is an insane take (yes I’m looking at you secretary rock review). Likes: Talkin Bout a Revolution; Fast Car; Across the Line; Behind the Wall; Baby Can I Hold You; Mountain O Things; Why; For My Lover

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Jul 15 2026

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jul 23 2026

David Byrne is a weirdo and I am here for it. The energy dips a little towards the end but this album is FUNKY. Each song has such a distinct feel and groove that just makes you enjoy the whole ride. Likes: Born Under Punches; Crosseyed and Painless; The Great Curve; Once in a Lifetime; Houses in Motion; Listening Wind

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jul 26 2026

First real listen to anything Elvis Costello…I was expecting more. It’s not bad but honestly there’s nothing really sticking out here and I don’t fully get the hype. Likes: Tears Before Bedtime; Almost Blue; You Little Fool

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jul 27 2026

This is a very different, more serious/mellow/toned down, Beach Boys vibe, and it works well. Likes: Don’t Go Near the Water; Long Promised Road; Feel Flows; Lookin At Tomorrow; Til I Die; Surf’s Up

Jul 28 2026

Not sure if I like this more than Low End Theory or not. Regardless, a fun jazzy rap record filled with good stories, flows, and beats. Likes: Push it Along; Luck of Lucien; After Hours; Footprints; Can I Kick It; Youthful Expression

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Aug 06 2026

Really enjoyable!

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Aug 07 2026

This is very good and I again really don’t think Dylan’s voice is that bad. Lyrically dense and filled with stories…I guess there’s a reason as to why he won a Nobel prize. Likes: like a rolling stone; tombstone blues; ballad of a thin man; queen jane approximately; highway 61 revisited; desolation row

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Aug 08 2026

Very smooth, very sweet, and very endearing. If I had a book that talked like this I’d probably marry it. Likes: You Are The Sunshine of My Life; Maybe Your Baby; You and I; Superstition; Blame It On The Sun; I Believe

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan

Second Bob Dylan album in 2 days…Solid storytelling, and some solid harmonica work. Feels like Dylan’s most accessible album. Likes: Tangled Up in Blue; Simple Twist of Fate; Idiot Wind; Buckets of Rain
