There is a direct line from Billy Bragg to the type of music I normally listen to (decemberists, fleet foxes, Courtney Barnett). That being said I appreciate the album but a lot of it sounds very samey. There is just not a ton of variety.

No one expects that disco jam halfway through the album.

At times this is very close to Trip Hop. I love it..

Is this Ska or Pop Punk? I bet this band is a fun concert but I find it is kind of generic. There are a thousand bands that sound like this.
