Surprising production value for the time

I love listening to an album and being like "oh, he wrote THAT song?"

I was really into this album in high school, but then probably decided it was inadequately pretentious and set it aside. I returned to it a few years ago and the unabashed lameness of Billy Joel is pretty great.

Nearly 5, just some irritating skits

Proggy, not as unabashedly stupid fun as King Crimson, honestly just sort of boring.

Stevie plays the not-hits

This is from 1976? Confident, continuous party of an album.

I could barely figure out the volume equalization for the first track, which was a serious detractor.

Holocaust reference was weird for me, especially with the musical goofiness of E, L and P

Last track is really a bummer for me, takes up like a third of the run time, detracts from the rest.

Unclear if for the dumbs or the smarts.
