Popular Reviews

We Are Family by Sister Sledge

Pleasant listen. Enjoyed all the songs even if it’s not the type of music I’d tend to gravitate towards

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock

A really nice album. I'd not listened to any of Kid Rock's stuff before this I don't think but actually enjoyed most of the songs in this album.

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention

Starts out as a nice album with questionable vocals and then descends into chaos by the end of it. A lot of the songs are reminiscent of others I’ve heard from more well known bands but only in terms of the band sound, the vocals are wildly different. Not quite sure what this is meant to be about or what genre it’s meant to fit but it was a pleasantly surprising way to start a day, again until the last two songs which were just weird.

Rio by Duran Duran

Not much to not really a good album that I've enjoyed but lets me down at times probably wouldn't be in a rush to listen to it again

Sep 05 2024

Good album but not necessarily what I’d choose to listen to most of the time. The fact it’s a live recording means that it flows really nicely, no breaks in songs, commentary running over a couple of tracks etc. Overall a good listen but not my favourite genre so might not listen to it again for a while.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Sep 06 2024

Good album, music I like, doesn't always flow terrifically well but all songs are something I would listen to again. Each song is similar enough to be in the same album but a different song in its own right.

Dummy by Portishead
Sep 07 2024

Alright album, not by any stretch something I'd ordinarily listen to. Genre was almost lo-fi but not quite. Would maybe listen to the first two songs, again but not in a rush. Don't actively hate it but definitely not the most enjoyable listen I've had.

Sep 08 2024

Starts off strong with respect, then moves into slightly more gospel type music. All pretty good but not quite my cup of tea. Might go back and listen to the whole album but not in a rush. Has some strong social messages in the songs which were probably ahead of their time, don’t detract from the songs but just don’t think the genre is necessarily for me.

Sep 09 2024

Overall a really good album. A few of the songs feel ever so slightly out of place or don’t quite appeal to me/have bits that are don’t feel quite right. Overall 4/5 but only just not a 5/5

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Sep 11 2024

Was a pretty good album, set to a game show type backdrop. Not really my thing but pretty good songs. Didn’t like the talking between some of them though.

Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Sep 12 2024

Good background music, all instrumental, would definitely listen to the album again whilst working or something but not necessarily my cup of tea in terms of normal listening.

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Sep 13 2024

Eh, not what I thought it was going to be but not bad either,

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Sep 14 2024

Pretty good album might listen to again but not a stand out for me. Can see how it might be a classic if you're into country/elvis.

Sep 15 2024

Really not for me. Not a fan of techno/house or whatever this is called. Not great, but just about tolerable.

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Sep 16 2024

Good album, lower end of 4 but still overall a good listen. Would listen again but not necessarily everything front to back and in order. Some familiar songs but some new ones as well.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Sep 17 2024

Solid 4 star album. All good songs but not all flowing. Would need one or two exceptional songs to push it just a bit higher to 5 stars. Enjoyed it all but think a couple of the songs are a little bit underwhelming.

Sep 19 2024

A good album, only a few of their songs that I knew but good listening throughout, some good banter from being a live album with only one bit of feedback in the recording.

The Predator by Ice Cube
Sep 20 2024

Pretty good album, High 3 low 4 stars not quite sure where I'd put it.

Sep 21 2024

A really good album. Some new Queen songs I’ve not heard before. Definitely a top 3 album so far. But a little bit too all over the place and slightly disjointed for me to warrant giving it a 5 for me.

Sea Change by Beck
Sep 22 2024

Alright. Not my favourite but alright enough.

Chris by Christine and the Queens
Sep 23 2024

Pretty mediocre. Not really my vibe. Can’t say I enjoyed it. Wouldn’t mind it if it was playing in like a shop or something.

A Walk Across The Rooftops by The Blue Nile
Nov 16 2024

Pretty good, inoffensive. Nice background noise. A little Phil Collin’s esque in some moments. Not going straight back to listen to it but wouldn’t complain if it came on

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Nov 17 2024

Was alright. A couple of stand out songs but didn’t think it was something to write home about overall

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Nov 20 2024

What the actual fuck have I just listened to. Sounds like a poor quality recording made by a bunch of people who were too high/drunk to form coherent thoughts. Way too screechy but possibly could be made good if it was re-recorded well.

Peggy Suicide by Julian Cope
Nov 22 2024

Started out promising but turned into repetitive riffs and drum solos. Could have been so much better

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Nov 24 2024

Gave lots of sci-fi/video game soundtrack vibes. I think it had a theremin. A couple of songs I’d listen to again if they were a bit shorter/didn’t have weird excessive outros

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Nov 26 2024

Pretty good album. Great recording of a live performance. Wouldn’t be my top pick to listen to again but definitely solid.

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Nov 27 2024

Really good album. Probably one of the closest to 5 stars I’ve listened to yet. Just not quite there though

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Nov 28 2024

Good album. A couple of questionable moments cement it at 4 stars rather than pushing for 5.

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Nov 30 2024

Really fucking good album. Didn’t realise how good some of the songs were. Classic blues undertones with amazing guitar solos/riffs. Also made me realise that I’m looking for good albums and that 5 stars isn’t necessarily the perfect album.

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Dec 01 2024

Eh. Not great

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Dec 03 2024

Good album but not stellar, think Paul McCartney did better with a lot of the Beatles stuff

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Dec 04 2024

Pretty good album had heard one or two of the songs before listening, enjoyed, would listen to again. Some nice chill vibes.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Dec 05 2024

Good music overall, vocals leave more to be desired, they're a bit dull. Enjoy the songs though, reasonably relaxing, good background music.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Dec 06 2024

Pretty good, a couple of recognisable songs but don't know if I'd be going back to listen to it again.

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Dec 07 2024

Can see how it might be good if you can understand it but the difference in language kind of broke the experience. The covers were ok. The first song got my hopes up but it was downhill from there.

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Dec 08 2024

Overall a really good album, don't think it's all quite for me but definitely a good listen. Chill vibes and laid back music. Close to 5 but not quite there for me.

New Forms by Roni Size
Dec 09 2024

One of the few albums I couldn't listen through, even with the last two tracks unavailable. Just mindless DnB, alright for some people but really not for me.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 10 2024

Good album, a lot of songs from CCR that I hadn't heard before. The highlight was definitely proud Mary but a couple of the other songs were good. Nothing I'm in a rush to listen to again though.

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Dec 11 2024

Not what I'd typically associate with Bruce Springsteen, a decent album but a change of pace and not something I really felt I got along with.

Dec 12 2024

Not an album that I would choose to listen to but can see how this genre of music might appeal to some people.

Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp
Dec 13 2024

A bit eh, not really for me, would maybe tolerate it in the background but not much of it appeals to me

Dec 15 2024

Got through most of the album but pretty generic, not for me, probably wouldn't listen to it again.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Dec 17 2024

Great album enjoy all of it. Start of the second track is a bit odd but can look past it.

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Dec 18 2024

Decent album nothing stellar but reasonable listening

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Dec 20 2024

Really good album but not quite 5 star. Let me down a little at times

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Dec 21 2024

Really good album, songs that I've not heard that I definitely want to listen to again. Only listened to a couple before and didn't quite realise where all the lyrics were going.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Dec 22 2024

An alright album, not my favourite sounded very stereotypically like the smiths but most of it was enjoyable enough.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Dec 24 2024

Good album, vocals were a bit low in the mix early on, although this seemed to be better in later songs, would definitely listen again

Quiet Life by Japan
Dec 25 2024

Alright, not terrific. Very synth heavy, good background music, would fit reasonably well into something like a street fighter movie. Sounds a bit like be more chill's music.

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Jan 07 2025

Decent album probably wouldn’t listen front to back again but some good songs.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Jan 08 2025

Bit brash and not very memorable, not the kind of thing I'd listen to really

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Jan 09 2025

Eh not my favourite genre, listenable but not terrific, probably wouldn't listen again.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Jan 10 2025

Couple of good songs rest weren’t anything too special to me tbh.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jan 11 2025

Really good album. Enjoyable listen. Songs changed it up just enough to keep it interesting.

Jan 13 2025

Good background music some interesting parts but not something I'm in a rush to listen to again.

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Jan 14 2025

Good album. Some bits are a bit disjointed but all kind of makes sense overall. Really heavy hitting which I kind of expected but had never listened to an Eminem album front to back before.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Jan 15 2025
Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Jan 17 2025

Not what I'd usually listen to but actually somewhat enjoyable, starts off strong but in my mind fades off from there.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jan 18 2025

Alright album, not my favourite style, nothing stellar and memorable but a decent listen nonetheless.

Sister by Sonic Youth
Jan 28 2025

Pretty good album bit of it were just screechy reverb between songs but didn't ruin it too much.

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Jan 29 2025

Pretty good a bit dull but a good listen.

Jan 30 2025

Thru the rhythm starts out with a familiar riff, and there's a lot of similarities from this album with a range of other artists that I just can't seem to nail down. Sounds a lot like early British rock/light punk bands, although they were from texas and this album is from 2010.

Jan 31 2025

Decent album but reminds me of elevator music really. Light and easy to listen to but nothing I'm in a rush to listen to again.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Feb 01 2025

Nice music not my first choice but a solid album pretty much all the way through.

Pieces Of The Sky by Emmylou Harris
Feb 02 2025

A bit slow to start for my liking but picks up towards the end and is an enjoyable listen for the most part.

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Feb 03 2025

Bit dull and unoriginal, nothing makes it stand out to me really. Was an alright album but nothing stellar.

London Calling by The Clash
Feb 04 2025

A good album, didn't realise that 'Lost in the Supermarket' - Over the Hedge, was originally by The Clash. Would definitely go back and listen again, although seemed very typical UK early punk/rock - ish.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Feb 05 2025

Definitely a unique voice and sound, lends itself really well to some moments and some songs but can be a bit jarring in others, overall though a really good album.

Close To You by Carpenters
Feb 06 2025

A surprisingly good album, kind of Simon and Garfunkel esque, a bit country but overall really enjoyed it and would listen to it again.

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Feb 07 2025

Good album, a really enjoyable listen some songs I'd heard before and some new ones as well

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Feb 08 2025

Not my first choice of genre but still some pretty good country songs. I don't think I'm in a rush to go back and listen to the whole thing but still a decent collection of music that's a pleasant listen.

Feb 09 2025

A weird brit pop synth heavy album that no one really asked for or needed. Although some people seem to like it. A couple of nice moments in some songs but not going back to listening to much of it any time soon.

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Feb 10 2025

Just couldn't seem to get behind this one at all, I found it a real struggle to listen to for some reason.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Feb 11 2025

Not my ideal album, very slow, the live breaks/introductions really killed it for me.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Feb 14 2025

Good album but not quite my style can't deny the songs are good but its a little slow and dull. Cecilia is definitely a highlight for me, as is The Boxer.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Feb 15 2025

I was expecting more from RHCP having listened to some of their songs but this album only really had a couple of songs that I thought were excellent. The whole album was still a good listen though.

Illmatic by Nas
Feb 16 2025

A surprisingly enjoyable album for me, relatively short and sweet and with beats that I could get behind. Not what I'd ordinarily pick to listen to but a nice listen nonetheless.

Rio by Duran Duran
Feb 17 2025

Not much to not really a good album that I've enjoyed but lets me down at times probably wouldn't be in a rush to listen to it again

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Feb 18 2025

Good album, reminds me a lot of R.E.M. so could very well have been an inspiration but who knows. An enjoyable listen but a little slower pace, with some slightly odd lyrics etc. so maybe not quite for me.

Mask by Bauhaus
Feb 19 2025

Not a terrible album a wee bit weird at times but not genuinely awful yet. But not much I enjoyed either

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Feb 21 2025

Pretty chill laid back tunes, nothing exceptional but fairly nice and relaxing.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Feb 23 2025

Bit mediocre, not great probably wouldn't listen to it again. Some looong songs.

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Feb 24 2025

Very grungy not quite my style but a pretty good album, the overall sound put me off a bit though.

Diamond Life by Sade
Feb 25 2025

Easy listening not a lot to it. Pretty enjoyable overall.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Feb 26 2025

All instrumental, essentially the definition of background Jazz, nothing against it just not a lot to it.

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Feb 27 2025

An alright album, to be honest a really pleasant listen but nothing stand out stellar.

Feb 28 2025

Good album but just not really my vibe. Bit slow for me, would prefer something a bit higher energy. The live crowd seemed to add for some songs but took away from others.

Mar 01 2025

A really enjoyable listen, actually a great album with more amazing songs than I was expecting.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Mar 02 2025

Very kind of mellow album, pretty inoffensive music for most of it but feel like it just falls a little flat some of the time.

Van Halen by Van Halen
Mar 12 2025

Just up my street, some great guitar solos and good listening

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Mar 13 2025

Nothing spectacular but an alright album

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 14 2025

A really good album that I enjoyed all the way through nothing to complain about really.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Mar 15 2025

Good album, not really my style but a nice listen all the way through.

Mar 16 2025

Starts off strong but is a bit underwhelming after the first 3/4 songs, maybe that's just because I already know them, but feel like the album as a whole was a bit of a let down after I saw the first couple tracks.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Mar 17 2025

An alright album. Didn't contain any of the Bowie songs that I recognized but maybe that's more on me.

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Mar 18 2025

Pretty smooth, easy listening. A relatively enjoyable album all round.

Mar 19 2025

Actually really enjoyed this album, one of the better ones I've listened to since starting this.

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Mar 20 2025

Not knowing anything about the background of this album it just sounds like unfinished edits and outtakes, parts of songs that had potential but these are just the shit recordings of them. Not really enjoyable. Sounds very generic early British grunge.

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Mar 21 2025

An interesting mostly instrumental album but not one I'm super keen on, worked nice as background noise but didn't do much more than that.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Mar 22 2025

Alright album, nothing too stand out, preferred their other album more.

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Mar 23 2025

Not a bad album. Not my first choice but a decent listen. Can’t quite put my finger on what band it reminds me of which is bugging me. But oh well

Want Two by Rufus Wainwright
Mar 24 2025

Didn't seem like anything too exceptional to me, was an average album with some weird french bits in it.

Different Class by Pulp
Mar 25 2025

A good sounding album but some very odd lyrics.

Out of Step by Minor Threat
Mar 26 2025

Very grunge heavy not a terrific album to listen to the whole way through.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Mar 27 2025

Not a great album, tolerable and able to listen to it but noting super really.

One World by John Martyn
Mar 28 2025

Not much to say about this, fairly relaxing nothing too stand out but a pleasant listen

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Mar 29 2025

Bit of a disjointed album, don't hate it but not my thing, only really enjoyed sabotage.

New Wave by The Auteurs
Mar 30 2025

Somewhat alright, decent vibes to have on in the background but nothing I'm too thrilled by

Safe As Milk by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Mar 31 2025

Reminds me a bit of the rolling stones or similar bands, is nothing exceptional but has the same kind of sound. Interesting enough as a listen.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Apr 01 2025

Guitar solos over mediocre melodies are nice for the first thirty seconds or so but an hour of them kind of gets boring.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Apr 03 2025

Honestly really enjoyed this, I'd listened to a couple of songs previously but the whole album seems to be great.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Apr 04 2025

Feels like a very average country album to be honest, nothing too spectacular or exceptional. Good listening but not for me.

Moon Safari by Air
Apr 05 2025

Pretty laid back chill vibes, nothing thrilling or two wild, can imagine this being a nice instrumental to have on in the background of a laidback party or something.

The Specials by The Specials
Apr 06 2025

A nice mix of music that makes for a nice listen through the whole album.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Apr 07 2025

Good album that's actually really pleasant to listen to.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Apr 08 2025

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this album, I think I've heard one or two of the songs before but on the whole it was really easy listening and quite nice to listen to. No complaints about it really, probably not in a rush to go back and listen to the whole thing again but would take one or two songs and put them into my rotation of music.

Moss Side Story by Barry Adamson
Apr 09 2025

A really odd album that starts out sounding like Gollum's torture, thankfully it goes uphill from there but not by too much. Something I could just about tolerate, although there were several songs I seriously considered skipping.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Apr 10 2025

Pretty good chilled out album, all the songs seemed somewhat similar and familiar but couldn't quite place them.

S&M by Metallica
Apr 11 2025

Really enjoyable album, although was let down in places by being a live album and not quite having the mix set right, however, on the whole it was a good listen.

Imagine by John Lennon
Apr 12 2025

An alright album with a pretty big titular single. However, was a bit slow/dull overall. There's a message to the album but doesn't change the fact I didn't like it a whole bunch.

Tragic Songs of Life by The Louvin Brothers
Apr 13 2025

Older country music that wasn't really my vibe, pretty inoffensive stuff but not for me.

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Apr 14 2025

An eclectic mix of music with a variety of styles. Underground opened in a really bizarre fashion, but after that I found the next few songs quite enjoyable, if not quite my thing. There were however, a few weird ones in there.

Achtung Baby by U2
Apr 15 2025

Decent album, some bangers but others feel a bit underwhelming.

Penance Soiree by The Icarus Line
Jun 19 2025

Pretty good, fairly heavy album but an enjoyable listen.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Jun 20 2025

Bit dull and repetitive techno, not my style

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Jun 21 2025

Enjoyable listen, nice mix of country and upbeat

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jun 22 2025

Good album, although I felt it got a bit slow at times but otherwise quite a nice listen

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Jun 23 2025

Kind of standard grunge/punk really. Nothing stellar but not too offensive.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Jun 24 2025

Pretty good album, one or two songs stood out as kind of weird, namely Mercedes Benz, but otherwise quite a nice album.

Tank Battles by Dagmar Krause
Jun 25 2025

Good album if a little odd, nothing awful, just not quite my speed

Jul 16 2025

Alright album. Bit too chaotic for my liking but a nice listen

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Jul 17 2025

Some of the songs that actually have good tunes etc. are spoiled by the sheer amount of slurs and stereotypes randy can fit in, seemingly for shits and giggles. I wish I hadn't known this side of him and could obliviously enjoy pixar soundtracks in peace. Alas here we are.

Jul 18 2025

Alright album, some nice beats, good, easy listening, but nothing massively appealing to me, felt a bit flat.

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Jul 20 2025

A decent album, good listen, enjoyable but felt pretty standard, nothing too stand out.

Revolver by Beatles
Jul 21 2025

Really good album, couple of hits that I'd heard of, Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine, but the rest of the songs were equally enjoyable.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jul 22 2025

Good album, I know and enjoy one song off of it, the rest is somewhat similar but feels like it falls a bit flat for me.

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
Jul 23 2025

A nice mix of songs that have different feels to them, works well as an album and is a pleasant listen.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

A good listen, starting to see some similarities between Black Sabbath's albums. Enjoyed it but didn't think it was quite 5 stars. Appreciated how some of the songs blended quite well from one into the next. Starting to see how Ozzy has his own distinctive sound that carries across albums, as does the whole band.

Snivilisation by Orbital
Jul 25 2025

Reminiscent of Public Service Broadcasting to me, but leans more towards the techno/DnB end of it. An alright album but felt a bit odd for my liking, and wasn't particularly interesting for me.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jul 26 2025

A good album, really enjoyable relaxing listen all the way through, pleasantly surprised by all the songs that I'd not heard of before.

No Other by Gene Clark
Jul 27 2025

An alright chilled out album, nothing too crazy and a decent listen but nothing stellar.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jul 29 2025

Pleasant listen. Enjoyed all the songs even if it’s not the type of music I’d tend to gravitate towards

Tago Mago by Can
Jul 30 2025

I don't even know what this was, started out alright an descended into some weird psychedelic screeching which wasn't for me.

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Jul 31 2025

A nice change of pace to some of what has been suggested recently, I think I'd potentially go back and listen to this again. Some of the reviews were right in mentioning that this sounds more like a movie soundtrack, not sure if it's because of how upbeat it starts/how dramatic it gets but it works well overall.

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Aug 01 2025

Very similar to Simon and Garfunkel in some regards, actually quite a nice album to listen to.

If You Can Believe Your Eyes & Ears by The Mamas & The Papas
Aug 02 2025

Not the kind of music I'd usually listened to but I really enjoyed the whole album. I think a couple of these songs are going to get added to my playlist.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Aug 03 2025

Honestly this one just flew by and blurred into the background. Hardly glowing praise but not a damning review like some of the screechy albums I’ve listened to

Back In Black by AC/DC
Aug 04 2025

Good album. Enjoyable all the way through although a couple of songs were a bit muddy on the vocals. But anything that starts with hells bells is going to be good.

Marquee Moon by Television
Aug 05 2025

Decent album, not massively into it but it kind of passed by.

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Aug 06 2025

I mean fair play for making a multi-lingual album, but really not quite for me, some of the songs were a bit odd and others were downright weird. Nothing terrible to listen to though but not in any hurry to go back and listen to any of them again.

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
Aug 07 2025

Pretty good album, an interesting mix, I quite like Paul Simon's vocals on all of them, although some of the songs are a little bit duller than I would have liked. Overall a good listen though.

Pump by Aerosmith
Aug 08 2025

Nice album good couple of songs, others are a bit less enjoyable but still not bad.

Low by David Bowie
Aug 09 2025

Not my favourite Bowie album but a good listen overall, felt like it fell a bit flat in places and tbh was kind of expecting more from him.

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Aug 10 2025

Kind of eh, better than the previous one I listened to but think he should probably stick to pixar sound tracks

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Aug 11 2025

A good hip hop album but not really my style, wouldn't really go back and listen to any of the songs again.

Debut by Björk
Aug 12 2025

Not a bad album, a bit odd and not quite up my street ordinarily but still a fairly pleasant listen.

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Aug 14 2025

An interesting album that sounded familiar to me for some reason but none of the songs quite clicked with what I remembered. A decent album but don't think I'd go back and listen to it, as it was a weird kind of lo-fi ish that didn't really resonate with me

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
Aug 15 2025

An alright album that reminded me of I want to say the Clash but not quite. It wasn't quite punk/rock but had a bit more distortion than standard pop. Not in a hurry to go back and listen to it but nothing too offensive.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Aug 16 2025

Quite a pleasant album to listen through all the way. Nothing stood out as being stellar but it managed to keep fairly upbeat and enjoyable the whole way through.

Aug 17 2025

Bit of a mediocre album really, nothing stellar that stood out to me, would maybe have it on in the background of a dinner party with old people, but I can't see that happening any time soon.

1999 by Prince
Aug 18 2025

Decent album, nothing stellar though, did kind of have higher hopes but it didn't quite hit the mark I was expecting it to.

Fun House by The Stooges
Aug 20 2025

Started as a good album but got a bit screechy towards the end.

Gold by Ryan Adams
Aug 21 2025

A decent album, just not quite up my street

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Aug 22 2025

Good album to have on in the background, although was a bit more eclectic than I was expecting. Not necessarily a bad thing but means a few songs caught me off guard. A nice listen overall with a few surprises in it.

Heroes by David Bowie
Aug 23 2025

After listening to the opening track, 'Beauty and the Beast' I was hopeful it would live up to the standards of the titular track. Unfortunately it seemed to just fall a bit flat after that, it picked back up again towards the end but the middle of the album was a bit of a let down to be honest.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Aug 26 2025

A really good album that I think barely missed out on being a 5, it was let down on one or two songs that weren't bad but just seemed to drop the standard a little bit. Otherwise definitely an enjoyable listen.

American Gothic by David Ackles
Aug 27 2025

Wasn't completely off-putting but didn't enjoy it all that much either.

Aug 30 2025

An good album but don't think I'd go out of my way to specifically listen to it. You could definitely tell it was Bob Dylan, and I think that was a good thing, but some songs left me feeling like they were just a bit off the mark of what I was expecting.

A Short Album About Love by The Divine Comedy
Sep 01 2025

A pleasant enough listen on the surface but some weird weird lyrics. A decent album but definitely has one or two off-putting moments that slightly lower the score.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Sep 03 2025

A nice listen although I feel like it peaks to early with Sympathy for the devil as the opener and then goes kind of downhill from there. The other songs are still somewhat enjoyable but after the strong opening feels like a bit of a let down. A nice listen overall though.

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Sep 04 2025

Decent album, a bit too dull and lullaby like for my tastes, an easy listen though that would fit right in as background music in a lot of situations.

In Utero by Nirvana
Sep 05 2025

Good album, pretty grungy sound but think that was to be expected, enjoyed it all the way through, had only ever heard heartshaped box off of this album before but enjoyed pretty much all of the songs.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Sep 17 2025

A really nice listen, not the greatest writing ever heard but a lot of the songs were really good and got the message across. Was definitely good as a live album despite this causing slightly subpar recording quality compared to the likes of studio album but added to the atmosphere and story of it so think that was definitely a plus.

Dare! by The Human League
Sep 18 2025

Good album, starts strong and finishes strong but has a bit of an underwhelming middle section.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Sep 20 2025

Wasn't a bad listen but didn't really stand out to me at all.

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Sep 21 2025

A really nice album. I'd not listened to any of Kid Rock's stuff before this I don't think but actually enjoyed most of the songs in this album.

Goodbye And Hello by Tim Buckley
Sep 22 2025

A nice pleasant listen overall, one or two catchy songs, but overall nothing too standoutish, but equally nothing too offensive or terrible.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Sep 23 2025

Quite a good album, starts off strong and feels like it becomes a little less recognisable from there but is still enjoyable.

Sep 24 2025

Nice upbeat album if a little weird and some songs being... no longer politically correct. Doesn't have 'Whip it' on which is the only DEVO song I knew before listening to this but gives off some similar vibes.

Play by Moby
Sep 25 2025

A nice album but probably more 'Background music' vibes for me. I'd definitely listen to it again, and I think I'd heard a few of the songs before 'Porcelain' and one other one, that I now can't remember.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Sep 26 2025

A good album with some messages that are still very relevant today, not all of the songs were terrific but they were all pretty good.

Boston by Boston
Sep 27 2025

A really nice album the whole way through. Starts out strong. Peters off a bit. But all songs have their merits with some nice guitar bits throughout. Came in knowing two of the songs. Probably won’t expand out too much but glad I’ve listened to the whole album now.

2112 by Rush
Sep 28 2025

Quite nice background listening.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Sep 29 2025

Nice album but only really knew riders on the storm. The other songs were alright but didn’t feel like anything special

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Sep 30 2025

Wasn’t much to it really. Was a nice gentle listen but felt a bit empty tbh. Still nice to listen to though.

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Oct 01 2025

A French album I think that was an alright listen but it felt a bit alien to me with the lyrics. The tunes were nice though

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 02 2025

A nice album, some bits sounded like Bon Jovi a little bit, others were a lot heavier. Nothing stood out to me as amazing on a first listen but think if I went back I'd actually come around on quite a few of the songs.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Oct 03 2025

A decent album that was nice to have on in the background most of the way through. There was some weird clipping in the penultimate track which didn't help things but nothing too stellar from this for me but equally nothing terribly offensive either.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Oct 04 2025

Interesting album but not really my vibe.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Oct 05 2025

I enjoyed the album, but the cure was never quite the top of my list of bands. I'm not sure I get all the raving about it but I definitely don't mind them, just nothing that stands out to me, and this album is much the same.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Oct 06 2025

Good album, I'd only listened to one or two songs previously but the whole thing was quite a nice listen overall.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Oct 07 2025

Nice album bit isn't as stellar as I thought it would be listening to it all the way through, maybe it has just been hyped up a bit too much and raised my expectations but I was expecting more out of it. Doesn't take away from the fact that it is a good album, just maybe not 5 stars in my book.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Oct 10 2025

A really good album with some songs that are actually better than their others in my opinion.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Oct 11 2025

Decent album but feel like American Girl was really the highlight and the other songs all felt a bit flat/underwhelming. They also weren't quite up my street but weren't terrible.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Oct 12 2025

A good album that's a nice listen with messages that are honestly still relevant today. Can't deny that Marvin Gaye is an icon, but through no fault of his own this isn't really my type of music so it's not quite 5 stars for me.

Nixon by Lambchop
Oct 15 2025

Quite a nice album that makes a change from what I usually listen to and I guess what would generally be considered mainstream music. Has a weird blend of a few sounds that I can't quite place but seem to for the most part fit quire nicely together. Don't think I'll be rushing back to it as it's not quite my daily listening vibe but will definitely check it out again.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Oct 16 2025

A really enjoyable album for me, a couple of iconic songs, and errs on just the right side of being metal without pushing too far into incoherent screaming for me.

Infected by The The
Oct 17 2025

Good album, a bit out there in terms of the sound they're going for I think. It seems to work though and I enjoyed some of it and didn't mind other bits.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Oct 18 2025

A nice album but felt pretty pedestrian. Not much going on but nothing too gash behind it.

The Clash by The Clash
Oct 25 2025

Enjoyable album, pretty much what I'm expecting from the clash and it didn't disappoint.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Mar 11 2026

Nice kind of grunge/punk I guess. Nothing that would stand out as my new favourite song but a reasonably solid album that I'd go back and listen to I reckon.

Ramones by Ramones
Mar 12 2026

After Blitzkrieg bop they all sort of sounded the same tbh which I guess is nice in terms of the album having a distinct sound but they were a bit too similar for my liking

Mar 13 2026

Enjoyable album with some different songs I’d not heard before. Can see why they lost the pop war to oasis but this is probably more my kind of thing.

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Mar 15 2026

Decent album but not really for me tbh. Bit too quiet and dull not a lot to it

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Mar 17 2026

Nice album. Pretty chilled out and laid back. Good background sound not terribly far up my street

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Mar 19 2026

Starts out as a nice album with questionable vocals and then descends into chaos by the end of it. A lot of the songs are reminiscent of others I’ve heard from more well known bands but only in terms of the band sound, the vocals are wildly different. Not quite sure what this is meant to be about or what genre it’s meant to fit but it was a pleasantly surprising way to start a day, again until the last two songs which were just weird.

Mothership Connection by Parliament
Mar 20 2026

Quite enjoyed the funk aspects of this album. Not what I’d usually listen to and not something I necessarily thought I’d like but was quite a pleasant listen the whole way through. Not in a rush to go back to it but a solid album

Mar 21 2026

Good album. Think I’d listened to it at work but still a pleasant listen. Maybe not top of my listening but nice nonetheless.

Mar 23 2026

An alright album. Some good songs on there but overall a bit slow and dull for me tbh.

Mar 24 2026

Someone more into instrumental music and jazz type stuff would probably call this the epitome of something. But for me it’s just kind of eh. Nice background noise but nothing I’m going out of my way to listen to again.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Mar 25 2026

Not my style. Still an alright album if you think he wasn’t a nazi back when he made it but will be steering clear of it going forward.

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Mar 28 2026

Not a bad album but not really my genre. Something good to have on in the background but don’t think I’ll be rushing back to listen to it.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Apr 01 2026

Not really sure what I was expecting from an album called tubular bells but parts 1 and 2 were pretty good, apart from the guy calling out keyboard modes. I'd have probably given it a 4 or 5 if it had stopped there but the last two songs dropped it down a bit, will probably listen to tubular bells part 1 and 2 again but won't be going any further in the album.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Apr 02 2026

A really nice album, but one I feel I'd need to be in a specific mood to listen to though. Will probably go back and listen again at some point.
