Pleasant sounding and a nice vibe, but I never found any song particularly interesting or catchy.

What an album.

It's not terrible, but none of the songs made much of an impression on me.

I just as easily got into the less famous songs from this album!

My favourite Beatles album? No. But easily worth of 5 stars compared to most of the albums on the list.

Easy enough listening. It would probably kick ass if I was in a giant leather chair several whiskies deep with a cigar in hand.

Better than I remembered.

Never been overly enamoured by Bob Marley's music when coming across his most popular tunes, but I have to say this album won me over.

This might be a harsh rating, as it wasn't bad-bad, but it really didn't catch me at any time.

Refreshingly different from some of the other albums on the list. Varied at the expense of cohesiveness. Atmospheric but not necessarily melodic.

Uninspiring and forgettable. Not a 1 because it wasn't offensive to listen to.

Lots of brights spots on this album, but plenty of imperfections -- too long, lots of frustrating talking in between tracks, and lots of songs I'd probably skip in the future. One of those albums that I'd maybe change my tune on for the positive in the future though.

Still don't love the nasally twang, but the album lived up to the memory. Excellent album.

This is exactly the sort of album I was hoping to discover when I started doing this. Is it 5/5? I don't think so, but I am glad I did listen to it.

I feel like this was very hard to rate. I fluctuated between 2 and 4 as I was listening to it! Maybe it's an album I need to be in the mood for. Sometimes it feels like it's just a hollow demo of how technically proficient the music is without any of the effort in the actualy songwriting, and other times I am jamming along. I guess 3? One I would like to re-assess in the future.

This is just offensively long. I'm not saying the album is bad, but it is hard not have the length count against it when I'm not a pre-existing fan of this band.

Good listening. Didn't catch me enough for 4/5 though, but nearly.

Thought I was going to be in for a rough ride when it started with a monologue, but it was actually great. Would be 5 if it had managed to maintain it for the whole album, but it dropped off a bit, at least for me.

Had never listened to this album before, but had really enjoyed other Velvet Underground albums. Unfortunately, I was disappointed!

This is difficult to rate because there is clearly good music in here, but it's effectively like a sketch book. It's long and ambling and you could be forgiven for not noticing when one song ends and another begins. If this was background music in a bar or something, it would probably be great. It was a little grating to sit down to and listen because of its nature. I flipped a coin between 2 and 3 and it landed on a 3. So there you go.

This was either a 3 or 4. I've opted for 3 because while it's certainly pretty good sounding, I can't really recall and specific songs I'd revisit. 3.5/5

Was dreading the length, but the second and third discs are just demo / live recordings, so the length is actually 'only' about an hour and 10. And it's actually pretty good!

Better than most but probably not cutting 4 stars for me.

There's some good stuff in here.

I think I'd have to be in the right zone. Realistically I enjoyed this less than most of the albums I've given 3 stars, so it has to be a 2, but this doesn't diminish the technical talent on display, or that I could easily seeing this being far higher for someone else.

Probably a 5 if it had Paint It Black on it (the UK version does not). Overall a very strong album but too many ho-hum songs to make it a 5.

There is too much of what feels like filler to me, and the brighter spots aren't bright enough to make me want to listen again. 2.5/5: Coin flip between a 2 and a 3.

Starts off with a banger, but unfortunately settles short of that.

This would easily have been a 3 except it felt like all the songs were so similar that it bored me by the end!

Thought I'd like this a lot more because I like a lot of David Byrne's solo stuff, but it was just fine. Maybe needs a few more listens.
