First song is awesome! I loved this album best one I have listened to since joining
This is so insanely long. Big fan of the orchestra and had to be pretty sweet to see all of this live. Some good songs but ultimately just kinda heavy for my liking
some good stuff - There She Goes, My Beautiful World; Nature Boy; Breathless; Supernaturally
but also some not so good stuff - Cannibal's Hymn; Fable of the Brown Ape (what the heck was this)
average at best. 3+/5
This was a fun one. Makes me want to be on a beach
Love the British post punk/new wave sound. Good stuff
Didn't dislike this as much as I thought I would. But probably wouldn't listen again.
This album came out 9/11/01 which makes me feel weird to think about
This one was pretty cool and had to be awesome during the 70s
I liked Tides & Nadia. Feel like I've heard Homelands before. Reading the description in global reviews gives me more of an appreciation for what he was trying to do but it just wasn't really for me.
Enjoyed the beginning, but got bored after a bit. Not bad 3/5
Decent but not my preferred kind of music
Was feeling 3 early on but liked it even more than expected. Good album
I really tried to listen to the whole thing but couldn’t do it - a little much for me
Such a fun old album. Love this
this is pretty chaotic for me but giving credit where credit is due, these are talented musicians
Instruments are great but vocals are a bit much for me. All things considered I’ll call it a 3 overall
The organ on these is pretty cool
Two days of Bruce in a row! This was much more fun to listen to, much more of the pop rock sound that I know of Springsteen. Giving it a 5
A handful of really good tracks on here
Tríptoco sounds like the music they play in DSW to make you buy more shoes. Overall kinda eh
Favorite quote off the whole album: “you’ve got to mow the lawn if you wanna get it on with me”. I mean at least he’s honest! For real though this was a fun one
A few of their really great songs, but otherwise not the best
Was expecting to really not like it but turned out to be decent!
This is good stuff. Such an easy and enjoyable listen. Had never heard some of these but can’t pick out a bad one
Rhymes are really good and I'd give some individual songs higher ratings, but struggled to get through it because of the skits. A lot of the messages didn't age well but can't deny his talent.
Couldn't understand a word this man said, but I think that made me enjoy it more.
I have never heard of Harry Nilsson, but what an awesome voice. Not knowing anything of him or his music before listening, I am very pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed.
Country roots with a lot of other sounds in here. What a beautiful voice.
Sounds a lot like Kate Bush and sometimes sounds like Alanis Morissette. Think my fav track is Mother ~ long, kind of haunting, loved the piano. Good, not great, 4/5
Very fun stuff, enjoyable upbeat listen and made me want to learn how to salsa.
not bad, but too long and I got bored.
Was between 4 and 5... I liked Rust Never Sleeps more
gonna just sit with a 2 on this one, i know there are some great ones on here but not sure i can give it a listen front to back at this point
aggressive, but they do rock
Pretty eh. Didn't love his voice but the album is cool in the sense that you can tell which are songs of love and which are songs of hate. Tells a decent story.
I definitely like their sound but maybe just one or two songs at a time, not an entire album. Got a bit bored
Neil Young made his way around over the years
I learned that I really don't love the harmonica. Other than that, the album front to back is good just not great in my opinion
Sharp Dressed Man reminds me of Duck Dynasty
Have been meaning to listen to this for a long time and just can't say I'm overly impressed
Definitely some good songs, but overall just average
I wish I was born in the 80s
Admittedly have never been too big of a fan of Frank Ocean but this album grows on me every time I listen
I liked this. Come back to this album at some point for another listen
Some songs are better than others - confused by the punk vocals and the fiddle at the same time? 2.8/5
The beginning and end of Watermelon Man give White Lotus theme vibes!! All in all this is awesome. This is musical talent and I feel like he just really enjoys what he does.
For some reason I didn't like the other Chemical Brothers album we had earlier in the list, but really enjoyed this one. May have to give Dig Your Own Hole another listen...
Fun and upbeat, cool album backstory as well. Would listen again
Honestly thought these guys were kind of a one hit wonder... Not bad though 3/5
This is the kind of country that I can get into. What a beautiful voice
Easy listen, good album. Never listened to them before but enjoyed this
17th studio album?! This was so different from all of the Beach Boys I had heard before, but so great. 4/5
Listened to Out of Step and this right after... I have a headache
I knew she was talented but never really listened to her. This blew me away!
At some points I thought this was a joke... is it?
Picturing myself in a dimly lit jazz cocktail lounge with a dirty martini in my hand......
I so badly wanted to love this but was admittedly kinda bored. Felt repetitive
The transition from The Suburbs to Ready To Start had me sold from the beginning.
All Apologies and Heart-Shaped Box are great, but they are the singles. I didn't relate to this as an album and found it kind of difficult to listen to overall so I guess it's just not my taste.
This is an album that gets better towards the end and I think will get better the more I listen to it. I also really like that there are a lot of short, fast-paced songs which makes for a fun listen. Will definitely get this in the rotation.
fav song - Friend Zone
I don’t think a lot of those words were even real
Mannequin was good, but other than that the album is not for me
Hair Pie: Bake 1 made me feel like I was being attacked by geese. I had hope during the intro to Moonlight on Vermont but that hope was promptly smashed when the vocals started. It never got better!
I used to listen to Odelay in the car with my parents but never listened to anything else. between 3.5-4
When I was watch One Tree Hill in high school I think I listened to various covers of When The Stars Go Blue for months straight... never knew this guy had the original. Some songs are pretty boring but others were very good. 3.5, closer to 3
Like this a lot more than Ritual De Lo Habitual
I feel like maybe this is an album you have to be in the mood for… I was in the mood for it
Lots of very very different stuff in here. Really loved it
Hard to get through this whole album
I like The National but never really listened to them a whole lot. Definitely worth the listen all the way through. Good for a nice relaxing, quiet mood.
Singer sounds a little like Brandon Flowers on some songs… and I love Brandon Flowers.
This was very good. I’ve never heard of Hookworms but will dive deeper into them now.
I wish Lola was on this album
Unreal. Had no idea Adele had a cover of Lovesong.
Taking this from some reviews that I read - but it is hard to find an album you enjoy in a genre that you typically do not.
One of my favorite albums of all time
One of my favorites from this list so far I think… this indie electro pop sound is kinda what made me fall in love with music in general. Makes me feel like I’m 14-15 shuffling my iPod library.
Freddie Mercury is my hero
Used to put this CD on in my basement as a 5-8 year old while hitting balls off the tee :,)
American Pie ruined it for me :/
Good but getting a 3 bc too long
Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood but yikes idk
Definitely one to come back to. 5/5
3.5. Stress stressed me out.
Seems like Brian Eno has done a ton, which is super cool
This is awesome. I love 80s music.
This is not really something I would normally listen to but I mean it kinda rocks.
Feeling 4.5/5 but not worthy of 5. Will be listening to more of the smiths
Makes me want to sit in the woods for a few days. I love them
