This is easily both the best heavy metal album of all time and the most influential heavy metal album of all time. War Pigs, Paranoid, and Iron Man are obviously beyond legendary tracks, but tracks like Electric Funeral still absolutely rip and I’m still surprised by how they got away with putting a mellow track like Planet Caravan between Paranoid and Iron Man while still maintaining a coherent sound. The music and vocals are top fucking tier coupled with the genre defining sound and aesthetic that kicked off a whole generation of metal. Not to mention the ironclad tearing down of pro-war sentiments. This is truly one of the most perfect albums of all time for me. 4.8 stars

Amazing live album. I love how it delivers to you a slice of history. I even watched several of the songs from the performance on YouTube and am blown away. Not a huge fan of the country twang by any means, but his vocals are perfection and very complimentary for this kind of music. 4.4 stars

I’m not sure what genre to classify this as. It was obviously heavily jazz influenced but I got a bit of a Yes vibe to some of the tracks as well coupled with blues/soul. Zeppelin is so incredibly overplayed, and I genuinely never want to listen to them again. That said, this album starts off so strong with Immigrant Song and then never really reaches that high again on this album. Quality music, but it’s not even close to Zep 4.

Sort of generic, partly annoying, but mostly forgettable. The Joplin cover and the other cover were the only tracks I really enjoyed. Also I’m mildly triggered by all the track title misspellings. 2.4 stars

If you enjoy repetitive sounds, loud dissonance, and the occasional sound of seagulls you might enjoy this album. There were one or two tracks that I enjoyed like ‘Frontier Psychiatrist’, but it was too much like the experience of an ADHD brain trying to understand a strange world for my liking. 2.2 stars

The album starts off on a really high note with Gimme Shelter which is an all timer for me. Unfortunately, it quickly loses most of its momentum and never really builds it back until You Can't Always Get What You Want on the very last track. I sincerely hated the country songs and a lot of their bluesy ones seem inauthentic and boring. The Stones are legendary, but I’m just not really a huge fan of most of their work. 3.4 stars leaning heavily on their two massive hits.

I absolutely hated the falsetto shit with the vocals. It’s like a bunch of theater kids singing an obnoxious version of Hapoy Birthday two tables down in a restaurant. They tried too hard to be like ABBA, Elton, or Freddie and completely failed at the emulation. 1.9 stars

Fantastic album! Her vocals are charismatic and powerful. So many of these songs are hits and even the non-hits are still great. This is probably the best 80’s pop album, and I’d listen to this album any day. 4.6 stars

An album that truly shows their mastery of song writing. Great album with sharp, witty lyrics that has something to say. Not their strongest album though. 4.4 stars

This album really shows off the growing strength of the Lennon/McCartney duo. While not my favorite Beatles album or even in the top 5, this album really delivers and I think the simplicity of their earlier more-pop influenced sound makes it almost infinitely replay-able. 4.6 stars

Listening to this album made me want put on the Beach Boys or the early Beatles instead. I’m sure it was a little edgy for the time, but it seems very tame, repetitive, and milquetoast today. 2.5 stars

This album is a fun one that brings back memories of listening to this on repeat with a portable cd player on long car trips. Rockafeller Skank, Gangsta Trippin, Praise You, and Acid 8000 are some of my favorite tracks on this albums. 3.7 stars
