Restaurant music Reminds me of a banging kebab
Hell yeahh Power chords & pre-pubescent vocals what’s not to like
Angels. They just dont teach that. Generational talent.
after a 4-day bender this was exactly what my brain needed. nice
For someone to do an Otis Redding song better than Otis Redding garners my Respect.
1hr20 is too long for an album I liked this album a lot more until Albert put me onto another album of theirs which is better…
Did a lot of IT stuff on Friday Felt very 90s movie hacker montage I said “I’m in.” dramatically several times
Pretty cool all in all My problem with prog rock is theres always something to ruin it for me 2 minute flute solo being the issue here
Yeah real weird mix, thoroughly enjoyed though
it was cool, a lot of filler
2 billion streams on a song about a stalker kinda crazy weirdly enjoyed this though
Essentially if you have a Heroin addiction & write a couple songs you have like a 50% chance of making it into this book
While I’m a big Kendrick fan and recognise his significance in lyricism and influence on hip-hop as a whole, I dont quite understand the position of this album as supposedly “the best album of all time”. Perhaps I’m missing something, but I’ve heard it plenty times and enjoy it as a very good album and not much more.
I wouldnt say I’m much of a Radiohead fan I am however, an In Rainbows fan
Really enjoyed this album, modern blues rock definitely something I have time for Little bit of filler makes it a 4.5 and I’ll round down.
Yeah it was nice, I’ve tried listening before I realised the fact that Dylan can’t sing in tune is exactly what makes his music more interesting to me
dead
You can hear a lot of what inspired future artists and for that it seems important Understandably it seems like everything they did here has been done since, but better
Yeah I mean it was good I never get these hugely influential cult-classics: if they are so good, why do they never have any commercial success?
least favourite Smiths album. Still pretty enjoyable background music
I kinda liked it. Definitely experimental & doesnt fit in with the niche of people that use this - hence why its ratings are so bad. I’ll bet if this was released by Radiohead everyone would be saying how inspired it is
eh
Hell yeah Not quite 5 stars but very solid album
Defining hip-hop album & personal favourite. Kinda tough to come out with such a good debut album, not sure Nas ever topped this
Pretty cool album, still think Nevermind is better. I’ll bet this is rated twice as highly as the Nas album yesterday though which speaks to the niche of people here
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Something about the bleak depiction of run-down old working towns reminded me of home It seems this is the music he wanted to be making, except for the fact it didnt sell & no one else liked it…
Dont think I’ve ever listened through this album in full. Its not Parachutes but much better than expected, easy listening.
Nice album, not too long with some of their most famous songs Personally I dont think tops some of Simon’s solo work but still up there
I love Otis Redding & this is one of his best.
I found this rather boring
on paper should be my kinda thing. wasnt the biggest fan dont really have a good reason as to why
This was an album. Thoroughly enjoyed
lowkey had some bangers. Hard to argue with the influence of this album regardless if its to your taste. Last 3/4 songs were purely filler though
this sucked
Not really sure why they bothered putting this one on here. Their debut album without question up there but this was very half-arsed
I was aware they made more than just an overplayed christmas song from my Dad, but had never gone out of my way to listen to much of it. Definitely a marmite kind of taste but personally really enjoyed this
A classic 90s hip hop album, all of my favourite B.I.G songs on. East > West still, doesn’t beat Illmatic, 2Pacalypse etc.
Of course incredible album, majority of their best songs. Agree that quality towards the end goes somewhat downhill, maybe the drugs catching up…
Ok its way too long but if you skip through the highlights this is a really good example of old school garage I fw it
Typically I would like this style This was pretty dull
Peak Kanye era production Maybe less well known than College Dropout but arguably just as goood
I cant argue soul is the most technically advanced genre This is still a serious groove
best album, ever
Pretty enjoyable as a modern jazz album, not really sure why they chose this one over any of his others but not bad
Lowkey enjoyed this, still an awful early 2000’s pop album
Cool album
Wasnt sure what to expect from this but pleasantly surprised. Consistently good from start to finish Groovy
I feel like generally I would enjoy this I just wasnt in the right mood for it Will give it benefit of the doubt & relisten at some point
really enjoyed this. Particular shoutout to Genetic Engineering, new favourite work song
Yeah not bad, I think every member of the band went on to make better work elsewhere but I see why it was significant
Yeah hard to argue with, pretty damn good album
I think for nostalgia’s sake I will rate this higher This slapped when i was 15
Very 80s, kinda samey but thoroughly enjoyed regardless
A bit samey but still enjoyed, definitely inspired a lot of pop music
Boring
immaculate album - production, tone, lyricism, genre-spanning wow
Enjoyed this more than expected. Feels like if britpop met Acid House
I used to really like this album when I was younger. Somewhat disappointed to hear it back & realise it doesnt do anything revolutionary. Still a couple tracks that are bangers
Really interesting genre very enjoyable
Possibly greatest old school hip hop album of all time?
Definitely progressive, sounds very 90s but just thought it was all fairly mid
This was awesome. Discovered a whole new genre + the back story made it even cooler
Pretty fun, apart from all the sex noises..
mid
Really cool album, more advanced/ambitious than you’d expect Enjoyable throughout
Restaurant music Reminds me of a banging kebab
Un-cancellable
Nice minimal album. Bloke and guitar
I dont think its the best music Clapton’s ever made. But it was classic blues & thoroughly enjoyable (to a blues fan)
Yeah nice one
Seemed cool, i wasnt in the mood for a music lesson but in the right vibe I get it. The guy literally taught the Beatles
Better than his last album even. Very fun genre good plate-loading music
Not their best album, I agree if they didnt go on to be THE Rolling Stones this wouldn’t have made the book. Regardless, blues covers I’m never against
I dont think they can be famous for being the band that inspired the idea of a more famous band
Always meant to listen to listen to them & regret not doing it sooner. This was groovy
Pretty enjoyable, got a bit samey by the end but a few classics
