A bit same, but some classic tracks too like M.E and Cars

Listened before. Great album musically, lyrics are fairly indecipherable.
Classic hard rock. The live version of Maggot Brain is unbelievable.
Great stuff
I knew most of the big hits from this album, which are good. None of the other songs really blows me away though. Good production.
Brilliant album
The best
Some classic tracks
Some classic tracks but also a lot of filler.
Did Marley write any bad songs?!
Love Dusty’s voice, some great songs on this one.
Will come back to it, I’m sure it’s great.
Beautiful version of the first time ever I saw your face. Decent album overall. The first track sounds terribly mixed for some reason, and the album version of a papa was a rollin stone is inferior to the single version imo, too long, not as powerful.
If only Señor Burns was on this album. Alas, still enjoyable.
Stock standard rock but sounds great
One of the great guitar albums.
Never gets old. It feels like you’re there with them in a dingy man cave. Legendary.
Scratches so many of musical itches, particularly Lady Cab Driver and Let’s Pretend We’re Married. Funk, Dance, Guitar-heavy, brilliant.
One of the great singing performances on one album, arrangements are perfection too.
I don’t know why but I like this album a lot.
Been listening to this album since I was 15 and it’s still great. Nobody defined soul music quite like Otis Redding. His wailing, yearning voice hits like few others. Great songs, arrangements and musicians on this album. RIP Steve Cropper.
Probably 3 1/2 stars but seen as I can’t give half stars, I feel 3 would be harsh.
Not really sure what the fuss about Nick Drake is. Not that’s it’s bad but I don’t get the acclaim.
Like a greatest hits album, incredibly good. Sly was a genius
Used to think this was the best Bowie album. Not anymore but it still holds up well. Especially side A
Surely this can’t be a coincidence, getting this album on Christmas Day?! Some classic Christmas tracks on here, with the Wall of Sound style featuring prominently.
My problem with dream pop/shoegaze is always the indecipherable lyrics. Sounds good though as usual
How can anyone dislike this band? Great songs, their Jackie Wilson Said cover is brilliant. And of course, the iconic Come On Eileen. The As It Should Have Sounded version is great.
Song for song, this is one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
Superb, atmospheric album with great vocals, sampling, drum beats and instrumentation. Sounds even better on vinyl.
This album holds up well for the most part. Some classic tracks but admittedly some filler as well.
Good stuff, looking forward to my visit to the Stax museum in April!
A bit same, but some classic tracks too like M.E and Cars
An incredibly dense album that reveals more brilliance with every listen. Built for vinyl listening.
The O.G trip hop album, still sounds fresh. Album opens with a banger, has a slight lull, then from Five-Man Army onwards, every track is brilliant.
Excellent but not the best Marley album imo.
Surprisingly good, always though later era Aerosmith was pure rubbish. Still not quite reaching the heights of their early work.
I very unique sounding album, with some excellent songs.
Tempted to give it a 2 but there are some good tracks that save it. Not Radiohead’s best work.
Great songwriting, vocals are occasionally a bit grating however.
This one was quite interesting, although a lot of the songs sounded like they could have been used during the meth cooking montages in Breaking Bad.
Giving this album a 3 is generous, and I like the Doors a lot.
Not as good as when I first listened to it when I was 14, but what is?
Rude reggae.
It’s been a while since I’ve played this in full. This album was a huge part of my life when it came out. First year of college, plenty of free time, smoking, drinking, playing PlayStation and cards. Great times. We must have played this album nearly 100 times. Like most classics, it holds up very well. I had forgotten what an incredible song Bad Religion is. Powerful and heart breaking.
This is the exact kind of album I was hoping to discover when I started this project. Excellent
