Different Class by Pulp

Great connection between all the songs. I hadn't known that "Common People" is their song before listening to this album. "I Spy" sounds to me like a combination of all songs on the world - "It's A Sin" by Pet Shop Boys, a little bit like Queen. Of course "Disco 2000" is also worth mentioning! Definitely great album to be the first one out of the 1001.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple

Listening to guitar solos on this album is like putting your head into an exhaust of F1 car with V12 engine and pushing with low-fuel load around Monza. Absolute eargasm.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis

Completely mediocre. Nothing to write about it. Quite a waste of time.

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu

That's what good album is about. You cannot predict what's coming next.

Sep 01 2021

I'm not a hip hop fan, but The Love Below has a cool jazzy vibe, so overall the album is quite acceptable. 2/5 mostly thanks to "My Favourite Things". And God, this is long indeed.

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Sep 02 2021

How an rock album can be so featureless? Total impotency. But "Wild In The Streets" somehow saves it from getting 1/5. However, I can understand why this album is among the 1000.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Sep 03 2021

Expected that this is gonna be good and it was. Surely is an remarkable album. Not an Elvis fan, so a strong 3/5.

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
Sep 04 2021

The first song and the guy's voice are good. The rest of the album is not even worth mentioning.

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Sep 05 2021

A masterpiece. I cannot describe what I feel while listening to "Love Song" - I'm not often so deeply moved by any song. Vanian's voice - absolutely exeptional.

Sep 06 2021

I thought I'm gonna force myself to listening to this album, but it was actually really good. Not my type, but I enjoyed it. Very good.

Phrenology by The Roots
Sep 07 2021

After listening to Phrenology, I understand why people like hip-hop. Still not my type tho.

Sep 08 2021

Nice jazz stuff, but without singer that would be much better. I'm glad that I listened to "Glad". Too repetetive to rate higher than 3/5 (3.49 in my mind :D).

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Sep 09 2021

I think that it's almost impossible to fuck up an electronic album.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Sep 10 2021

Listening to guitar solos on this album is like putting your head into an exhaust of F1 car with V12 engine and pushing with low-fuel load around Monza. Absolute eargasm.

Pink Flag by Wire
Sep 11 2021

Punk is always great. End of review.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Sep 12 2021

Well, he played it safe. Nothing extraordinary.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Sep 13 2021

Completely mediocre. Nothing to write about it. Quite a waste of time.

Buffalo Springfield Again by Buffalo Springfield
Sep 18 2021

Sounds like they were ahead of their times - hard to believe that's an album from 60s. "Mr. Soul" and "Good Time Boy" - best songs of that album.

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Sep 19 2021

Be patient while listening to this album. The higher the number of the song, the better the song is.

Harvest by Neil Young
Sep 20 2021

Like every album with slow, sad songs.

Sep 21 2021

As TH no. 1 fan ;) I think that this album should be replaced by Speaking With Tongues, which to my best knowledge isn't among the 1000 (and one). Still, it's great to observe the transformation of the band from '77 to Fear Of Music. If you ever wondered how the mix of '77 and FOM would look like, that's the answer. When you listen to all the band's albums, it'll become very clear that an album like "More Songs..." had to be recorded. For me it always seemed like a natural step and maybe that's why I wasn't focusing on it. But songs like: "Thank You for Sending Me an Angel", "Found a Job'', "I'm Not in Love", "Stay Hungry", "The Big Country" and "Take Ne to the River" are absolutely TOP. I also have to say that "The Good Thing" sounds too calm and predictable for a TH song and "Artist Only" sounds too much like a Talking Heads song.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Sep 23 2021

Weird. And weird is good. Probably it'll be good to listen to it another time.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Sep 25 2021

It's hip-hop for normal people. Nice combination of styles.

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Sep 26 2021

I knew a few Radiohead songs before ("Creep", etc.) and I was expecting something similar but this album is actually quite good. Thank God I found out that I'm capable of listening to Radiohead without any physical pain, maybe even with some kind of pleasure?

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Sep 27 2021

Great voice, but she's using it for the wrong purpose.

American Idiot by Green Day
Sep 28 2021

First 2 songs are amazing. The remaining ones - hard to listen.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Sep 29 2021

#30 - the best album so far, and they had tough rivals - Deep Purple, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Elvis, Kraftwerk. Oh my God... What they did I never heard in my life. Every songs sounds both different and similar to the others. This is so good that you're afraid of listening to this album again.

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Sep 30 2021

When "Odyssey and Oracle" is the album that you had to listen day earlier, it's clear that "Scott 2" cannot be rated as high as its predecessor.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Oct 03 2021

Well, they're singing and playing something, but that's it.

Dust by Screaming Trees
Oct 05 2021

It has something interesting in it. Hard to describe, but some songs are great.

Microshift by Hookworms
Oct 06 2021

Not painful to listen.

Protection by Massive Attack
Oct 08 2021

I read somewhere in the comments under one Talking Heads song that this is how MA would sound if they existed back then. Because of that I was looking forward to this album. Now I am looking forward to listening to the next one as soon as possible.

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Oct 09 2021

I regret wasting my time for this

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Oct 11 2021

That's what good album is about. You cannot predict what's coming next.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Oct 13 2021

Another great song after great song.

Oct 14 2021

This is what happens when you try to make "more accessible rock" that of "Slanted and Enchanted". It's accessible for anyone, but admired by no one.

GI by Germs
Oct 15 2021

Hard punk f******

Broken English by Marianne Faithfull
Oct 17 2021

One of a very few woman that I enjoyed listening to. And you can understant what she is singing, too.

Screamadelica by Primal Scream
Oct 18 2021

I had an unpleasant duty of listening to their "Vanishing Point" earlier. "Screamadelica" is three times better, which is not a great achievement, but I even felt some kind of pleasure while listening to the first song.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Oct 24 2021

Absolutely no emotions while listening to it.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Oct 25 2021

Well, she's definitely doing something

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Oct 26 2021

It's a good sign when you can loop the album and you don't realize that you're listening to a song for a third time.

Odessa by Bee Gees
Oct 27 2021

Expected something different.

Sheet Music by 10cc
Oct 30 2021

Every song is different. And that's what I respect.

Bossanova by Pixies
Oct 31 2021

During listening, I thought "Oh, I listened to one album by Pixies and it sounded completly different, that's good!" Then I realized that they were The Smiths.

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Nov 01 2021

World music deserves the highest rating.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Nov 02 2021

Dobre, szalone pierdolnięcie. Czwóreczka się należy

1989 by Taylor Swift
Nov 03 2021

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Nov 04 2021

One of the biggest questions: why women with beautiful voices waste their talent for singing songs that are total crap, to say the least.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Nov 05 2021

It's very gentle, I expected something heavier. +1 star for the album cover

Nov 22 2021

The Modern Lovers by The Modern Lovers
Nov 25 2021

Dec 24 2021

23th of December is a good day for listening to this one.

Dec 26 2021

I'm sick of this shit being played everywhere for the whole fucking December. And "White Christmas" sung by a woman? The craziest thing in the whole history of music.
