Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. It did feel all a little bit like noise by the end. I probably would have liked it more if I’d heard it in the nineties when this was more my thing.

Just masterful musicianship. Every note in every song feels exactly right. Awesome

I’ve heard better jazz trio albums. And I’ve heard worse. Just not my thing and got a bit same after a bit.

One of my fav Dylan albums. Hits the right spot between his folky era and starting to get a little more rock. Some of my favourite tracks of his.

I’d have probably loved this if I’d heard it back when it was released. Now, it was an ok listen. Nothing about it particularly blew me away. And 22 songs is a LOT.

Like Bueno Vista SC goes lo-fi. Very enjoyable but felt a bit like background music - never quite fully engaged me.

Fab album by a fab singer. Maybe a touch too “country” for my taste but some absolutely brill songs and I would 100% listen again.

Not my favourite Stevie album. But that’s like saying which one of your children you prefer. Unbelievably good.

Classic Zappa. Zany, meandering, jazzy awesomeness.

80s is probably my least favourite decade. And although this has some great tunes it does nothing to dissuade me of that notion. An ok listen.

I boomerang with this album between it being one of my fav and underrated Bowie albums, to thinking it’s one of his weaker ones. Drive-In Saturday & Time are two of my fav Bowie songs ever. But there’s one or two filler songs in there. Still brilliant though.

A period of blue that is not my favourite but still a good listen with a couple of standout tracks.

Not really my thing but I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it at all and actually there are a few songs I didn’t know on there that I did enjoy. Not dreadful.

Everyone knows the title track but actually this is a terrific album full of great rock songs. Stands the test of time pretty well and definitely influenced many artists that came after.

Lo-fi delights all the way. Such a brilliant chilled album.

The Band are legendary, however I feel like there’s a mix here of some of their all time classics and some more mediocre fare. Still a very enjoyable listen though.

What is it about certain albums/ bands? On paper this should be one of my fav albums of all time. I was listening to this sort of stuff at the time and it SHOULD be my bag. But I didn’t like it at the time and I still don’t really like it now. And I can’t put My finger on why….? It’s not awful but I never choose to listen to it. Which says a lot.

stevie is the greatest and this is one of his best. Nothing else to say really.

Great as a concept and some good songs on the album but listening to it now I was a little bored after the first 20 mins or so. All sounds a little too samey after a bit.

The Smiths. I’ve reviewed one of their other albums on here. Still not heard anything to change my mind that they’re just not very good. Mare’s guitar about the only bright spot in an otherwise dreary landscape. Did not enjoy.

Obviously packed full of their greatest hits, which I love. However the filler songs are a bit bland and the production is not great. A great album let down slightly by a few things.

Not really my thing but does have one of the greatest songs of all time in “It Was a Good Day”. Overall enjoyed it more than I thought it would would.

I find Folk Rock awkward as I love Folk Rock and I love Rock. But somehow don’t particularly enjoy the combination of both into one. Having said that it was an enjoyable listen.

Even with one or two songs I enjoy on here (The Scientist etc) I still can’t quite get up enough enthusiasm for Coldplay. They’re good at what they do, but it’s not for me

It’s Miles Davis. Not sure there’s much more to say - if you like jazz then you absolutely need to listen to this album. If not then give it a go anyway!

I love blues. I love BB. However a lot of it in one go actually wasn’t as enjoyable as I thought it would be. But maybe that’s a me thing. Obviously one of the masters of blues guitar.

Obviously iconic. However, a full album of the same thing got a little boring after a bit. Deserves to be held up as a classic, important album but I’m just not sure I want to listen to the whole album in one go.

What can you say about White Stripes that hasn’t already been said. Jack White is an incredible guitarist and writer of riffs. And Meg shines in her own right as a drummer and vocalist. Awesome stuff

Love Tom Petty and this early album him and the band sound almost Rolling Stones-esque. Great rock and roll songs. Loved it.

Not Bowie’s best work in my opinion. But still truly incredible and just shows how he never stopped evolving.

Jacques Brel. What can you say - just one of the greatest song writers of all time. Amsterdam is a masterpiece but every song on here is equally well crafted. Only downside is it’s not long enough!!

Never really listened to John Martin and after this won’t be rushing to listen to more. Found it really uninspiring and struggled to get through the whole album.

I love The Allman Brothers but honestly some of it gets a bit self indulgent after a bit. I know it’s live and everyone wants that 10 minute guitar solo but when it takes you 80 minutes to play 7 songs I’m a bit bored by track 3.

Incredible how an album can take you back to a specific place and time and remind you of certain people. An album that is unmistakable even now. Timeless tunes that still hold up today.

A mixture of the usual Libertines chaos and some great softer moments. A real masterpiece of early 2000s indie.

Such a nostalgia trip for me with a couple of moments that still transport me back to the nineties. Maybe hasn’t aged as well as some other albums from that era but still a good listen.

An album/ band I didn’t really know all that well (apart from Layla). And this was packed full of great songs that kept me interested all the way through.

Never really saw the appeal of Cocteau Twins and this certainly hasn’t changed my mind. Just nothing particularly interesting or exciting for me.

An interesting mix of jazz and African rhythms. Had some stand out tracks and some that washed a bit over me. But overall a good, catchy listen

I have never really got Joy Division. None of their songs really make me feel much so not my cup of tea.

No doubt Miles is a genius. And no doubting this is an album of great musicians at the top of their game. It’s just not quite for me.

Never heard of this band before and actually pretty pleasantly surprised. I usually am fairly ambivalent to most punk but this was inventive, fun and pretty good on the whole.

Although I’m not the biggest Beatles fan there is no doubting they are incredible and this album especially is up there as one of the all time greats.

Iron Maiden were MY band growing up. I had everything they did and revisiting this - although not their best - was an absolute joy.

Up there with some of my favourite debut albums. Great catchy songs with a pretty unique (at the time) sound. Great listen.

I’ve never really understood the hype with New Order, and although this was a good listen, it didn’t really change my mind. Ok songs, nothing spectacular but I enjoyed listening to it.

A brilliant album - maybe just misses out on top marks because it sounds a little dated now but I still love it. Especially the less well known gems.

Was very much standard Captain Beefheart for me. Some great songs and some I did not get at all. Overall an ok listen.

Interesting one. Some recognisable songs that others have covered and made more famous. But overall I just didn’t quite like the “sound” they made enough for this to be top tier.
