Judas PriestNice album! I'm a fan of Metallica, and I definitely hear some of their NWOBHM roots in this.

Fun and quirky. Love the psychedelic rock aspect of it. The lyrics themselves didn’t make a huge impression on me. The spoken word story during the last half of the album was kind of weird. Why half the album and not the whole thing? Not sure if I see myself revisiting it or not. Though the music itself is rocking. I just realized I probably listened to more than just the base album. I notice the regular one only has 7 tracks and I think I listened to 12? So the base one doesn’t have as much of the talking and storytelling, which might be better for a re-listen.
Cool, foundational psychedelic rock. I love Grace Slick's voice. Some of the songs do it for me, and others don't. Somebody to Love is a stone cold classic.
The beats and those high pitch leads are so iconic. I’m not normally a rap fan but the flow is amazing and the world of early 90’s Compton is vivid and striking.
One of my favorite albums ever, and what I think is the best metal album ever. Crushing rhythm guitars and soaring leads. The incomparable bass work of Cliff Burton. Dark but unified subject matter. A masterpiece.
Pure 70s pop from Sweden's biggest group. You can't deny how good they sound, especially on Dancing Queen. Some songs sound like show tunes more than pop songs - Money, Money, Money comes to mind. It's a fun album, if a little shallow
One of her albums that I had never heard. It sounds of its time in a way—it sounds like the year 2000 somehow. Overall, interesting melodies and a few rockers, too. The Thom Yorke duet is beautiful. Nice record!
I have a bit of a blind spot with 70s classic rock. Plus, I haven’t always loved Tom’s voice. But this is a fun little album! Breakdown is especially great.
I am more familiar with Daydream Nation and Goo, but this was a great excuse to get to know this album better. I love the feedback and wail of distortion that these guys bring, along with interesting songs. So great!
I'm at a disadvantage in that I don't speak French. But this sounds great. Effortlessly cool. It's not something I would listen to for fun, but it's beautiful stuff. My rating is for me personally; I think this is quality stuff!
Smooth Jazz! Goes down smooth and easy. I'm not a big jazz or bossa nova guy, but this is beautiful with wonderful musicianship.
I'd never heard of this album before! I've heard Stevie, of course. His voice and musicianship are fantastic. I'd say I struggled a bit connecting to most of these particular songs, though. I'd imagine if I listened to this a few more times they would connect more. I did really like the last song on the album, and Boogie On Reggae Woman was pretty fun, too.
The only Blur album I got when it came out. Such a fun album. I bought it because of Song 2, but it’s the other songs I enjoy more now.
It’s got great musicianship and performances. But it really doesn’t move me much at all. With the exception of the title track- I loved the little jazzy radio jingle section of that song.
I really enjoyed the commercial bits and little things between tracks. It was very British humor, but that's not a bad thing! The songs themselves didn't do as much for me as some other Who songs I've heard do. But it was a pleasant listen!
Such a bold move to make your first album a live album! Honestly, this just rocks in a way that it's surprising was possible in 1969 (or 1968 when it was recorded). The label proto-punk works well for these guys. It's funny to think of the controversy about the language at the beginning of Kick Out the Jams...it was a different time, for sure. I am impressed with the album, though I thought some of the songs dragged on a bit, especially toward the end. Still, cool album!
This sounds great. Everything about it.
Am I cool enough for this album? Probably not, but it sounded pretty great!
Fun rock n roll! Steven Tyler’s voice isn’t my favorite, but he uses it to its best here.
This sounds cool, and it’s amazing how influential this was. I wouldn’t say the songs themselves blew me away. The 10 plus minute chant was a wild choice for a third track also.
I thought the first two tracks were great. After that, it got boring and repetitive.
Interesting songs I’d never heard by them. I liked it but not loved it.
Such a great energy and fun songs. The singer really has an amazing presence in these songs. And the rhythm section of bass and drums are second to none.
Prog rock! Sounds great. I was impressed with the bass and drums on these tracks. Hard to believe this is from 71. Fun album!
Nice album! I’m not the biggest hip hop guy, but the first few songs were especially good! It lost the plot for me a bit later and the whole album was a bit overlong in general. But some great sounds!
Cool album. I enjoy the acoustic and electric halves of it. Is it supposed to be live? I can’t totally tell.
Good album. I love the original Boy Named Sue, but kind of a bummer that it is bleeped out in this version. Not my favorite Jonny Cash overall.
Jack White showed he could keep going on his own after the White Stripes. Great folk rock blues songs.
Beautiful singing. Interesting songs. But unless I learned French and really soaked in this stuff for a long time, this just isn’t going to resonate with me.
Funky! Good vocals and I like the lead guitar.
Great 70s rock. Loved the country flair on a lot of these tracks. I’ve always heard of Stephen Stills, but inward impressed by the music on this one!
Somehow I thought this would be more disco sounding than it was. A solid new wave rock album!
Wow, these songs sound amazing. So good. Muddy Waters sound incredible and his backing musicians are on-point.
Cool, vibey album. A little of its time, but honestly still sounds pretty great.
Nice album! I'm a fan of Metallica, and I definitely hear some of their NWOBHM roots in this.
Pretty cool album. Reminds me of some older REM, but doesn’t grab me as much as they do.
Such an intense album. I wouldn’t say I like the main character of the album, but the story of his descent is interesting and the music is incredible.
Fun album! Some parts sound a bit dated now but over all a fresh fusion of sounds.
Beautiful songs. Not a peppy, fast album but it doesn’t need to be. Love her vocals and the guitar playing that accompanies her.
Some good songs, like Photograph. I was surprised how much they sounded like AC/DC on a couple of songs. The vocals weren’t my favorite.
