I wasn't expecting to like this, but I did, it was super relaxing and I quite liked the talking clips too.
Pretty good, I'd only ever heard or recognised the popular ones, but it was a solid album start to end.
A talented singer, great voice. I wished the musical arrangements were louder in the mix, and the singing let off now and again. This wasn't exciting, it was predictable, it was hard to get through but glad I did because Someone like you has some fantastic moments.
Fun, energetic. This would be great to queue up with guests over, as background music or blasted all over the neighbourhood.
This guy was a master of the 80s sound, which is good if you like that but I don't.
Feels like a concept album, OK for background music.
The production is excellent, most of the song writing is simple, but it was an easy listen.
This was great, I loved his singing and his message. Will definitely spin this up again.
This was alright, I didn't find it memorable, it was generic sounding.
That was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing ambient album.
This was pretty average, but an easy listen.
Some great songs on this, it's mostly a fun, anytime listen album, cheery chod progressions, energetic. 3/5
Pretty good, I liked it a lot more than expected. All tracks are solid.
Nope, didn't like it. Some of the music was artsy and interesting, but really disliked the vocals. 1.5/5
I wouldn't have guessed this is a 70's album.
Nice production, it has a modern classic feel to it.
Stand out tracks: Someone I Care About, Modern World.
Good album. 3/5
Solid album, enjoyable, a few standout moments. He uses the piano so well.
Great! Can't believe I've never listened to it before. Fantastic guitar work, as expected, but surprised how much I liked it. 4
Was okay for something playing in the background
Variety, quality recording, fantastic song writing, a pleasure to hear.
Brilliant, I wish I could give it a 4.5
So many diverse so songs.
Some good ones here, brings the bass
Listenable, not much else to say
I really liked these songs, but wish the mix)/recording quality was better.
Some bangers on this, so many.
Pretty good. I recognised a few tracks but didn't know the artist.
Some good variety. Kind of reminds me of belle and Sebastian.
Like a 90's Geordie Greep, loved it. Easy 4
An easy listen, a few good tracks
I didn't like this, it went too long and the songs all sounded too similar.
Absolutely fantastic. So close to a 5, the guitar work is phenomenal.
Good fun, unpredictable, an enjoyable listen.
Fantastic album. Beautiful music, interesting, the vocals were delicate with real substance. Some lovely lyrics, with lines like "We kissed like we invented it" and "So yes I guess I'm asking you, to back a horse that's good for glue". My first 5 in this musical journey.
Not my king of thing, but it's abba, no complaints here.
Great song after great song, so well produced too.
I'd have liked this more with less talking.
Some fantastic, iconic tunes on thus one. Too much fluff for a 4 though.
Chill, a good listen but nothing exciting
Meaty. It's been a long time since hearing this, and I remember it being heavier. That aside, I felt it was a bit repetative but still a solid album.
Pretty chill, enjoyable 3.5
That was pretty cool, some really nice psychedelic guitar work. 3.5
Solid rock tunes, what's not to like.
Fun, soulful, happy.. The master
Not good. At times it sounds like the guitar is playing along to a drum and bass click track, then the singing (if you can call it that) makes it really hard to complete the album. Camparing this to Captain Beefheart is absurd.
Pretty good, no complaints, but nothing really stood out as interesting either.
Some good moments on this, and some less so. Light 3
Unexpectedly good. 15 seconds into the first song I was hoping it wouldn't be painful. My opinion changed, I'd listen to this again, probably the French half only.
Awesome album. The masterpieces on this make up for the very few flailing moments
Boring, repetative. Surprised its not earlier than 1990 really.
So relaxing, the music and vocals are flawless.
I don't mind pavement, nothing about them have really jumped out to me, including this. Some solid rock.
Always a good listen. So many styles, timeless.
Lots of fun tunes, some bangers.
Pretty good, no complaints but nothing outstanding either.
Pretty good, wish it was longer. Simple and still interesting. Solid 3.
Nod bad, 2.5/5
I was thinking most of the way through how much it sounded like that 'Come on Eileen' song which I momentarily thought was The Cure for some reason.
So relaxing, I'll definitely listen to this again.
Good album, nothing to complain about, but I don't get the hype about it being a masterpiece. 7/10 or a light 4.
Was okay, more bluesy than I was expecting. Light 3
The more times I hear this, the more I like the second half more. Solid 9/10, or a 5/5.
Was okay, and better than expected for so many shirt songs. In saying that, many songs could have cut to make this a non-double album. Also, I didn't find the attempted humour funny. Ill give it a 3.
You need the glory, wtf.
Some good ones on here, some not so good. Light 3
Solid rock n roll, great guitar work.
What a fantastic voice. I feel like singing his gotten too fancy for this type of voice these days.
Not good. This felt like someone made or obtained some mediocre music and tried to add beats it.
Not bad at all, some really good tracks, especially in the first half. Easy 3.
That was okay, really enjoyable at times, but nothing unforgettable.
Damn, I thought this was going to be good, it wasn't. It was repetative, egotistical and boring. It sounded like the 90's and should stay there.
This was pretty cool, the last two tracks especially, fantastic guitar work, a fun jam session.
It was okay, nothing memorable, nothing offense. Light 3, or 5/10
Solid songs, solid singing, quite good. Solid 3
Was okay, a few hits, everything else was unmemorable on one listen, but understand how someone could really get 8nto this album. But, for me, a 3.
This was awesome. So now I got to listen to more of this guy, and also revisit some John Coltrane now that I know I may just like Avant-garde jazz. This just escaped in as a 4,but would have been an easy 4 if there was less piano and guitar.
This was okay, at times relaxing. I may not listen to it again, scoring is hard sometimes, I'd like to give this a 2.5,2 is too low, so 3 it is.
This was okay, was expecting better, all the songs have a somewhat similar sound/feel.
Oh no, this it shit. Track 1, yeah nah, 1 hour and 7 minutes of this is gonna be tough. Track 2 amplified this feeling, shitty 80s/90's dance music with shitty beats and shitty synths.
Rather enjoyable. The child crying on Runaway Child was a bit uncomfortable to hear.
Good. Short songs that feel longer than they are, so I guess this had fantastic listening time value. 3
Was just okay. Vanilla, predictable.
This was okay, not his best work.
This got better and better as it went on, I need to give it another listen. 3 for now, but it could easily turn into a 4.
This was horrible. Boring melodies, repetative, void of atmosphere, not fun. One song was OK, the instrumental. Why is this even on the list?
Pretty good, relaxing. Although, It dies kind of sound like a stripped down version of the Smiths.
That was okay, but nothing outstanding IMO.
This was tolerable, but I'd never listen to it again. It felt like a collection on B sides really, 2.5/3
Somewhat okay, a bit too poppy for me. The 2nd half was better, 2.5, but not 3.
I was expecting better, almost looking forward to this one. But no, I didn't like it. One okay song, "The Cross", "Forever in my life" was embarrassing. 2/5
Enjoyable, some really good tracks, some average.
There were a few good moments, but mostly this was either boring or incredibly amateurish.
Fantastic album, so many perfect songs, and it flows so well.
Great album. I'd like to give this a 9/10, but don't think it's a 10, so 4/5 it is.
Nothing exciting here. Though I aren't a fan of of the beach boys.
Fantastic album, great production.
Pretty good stuff, nothing extraordinary, but a good listen.
Some bangers on here, very easy listen without being boring.
Enjoyable album, I don't see why this one specifically ended up on this list though.
Id never heard of this guy, had no idea what to expect. It was fantastic, I was very surprised to see it was a 70's album, expected much later.
Was okay. Good background music, I don't mint ambient music but this was a little lacking and quiet. But still, a light 3.
