Steely Dan
2/5
Most overrated band in existence in my opinion. Boring and then they are pretentious about it. No favorite track, I'll give it two because it's fine for background music you ignore

Kate Bush
3/5
Ok album. Made me lose a lot of respect for Tori Amos as an innovator, she copied this whole aesthetic and style hard

The Strokes
3/5
I've never understood the level of love for this album. It's The Clash going full glam rock but with more basic instrumentals; probably biased because parents played into their media love. That said it's not a bad album, second half is much stronger than the first. Alone, together is probably my favorite track but Barely Legal and Last Night are contenders
Gil Scott-Heron
3/5
Good album, I have a hard time differentiating it from other music if this genre. Not sure what makes it stand out. Favorite track is the bottle
Solomon Burke
4/5
I'm a sucker for this type of music, the soul leaving into the blues rather than jazz like Gil Scott-Heron. Really made me want to listen to Sam Cooke and Bill Withers.
Steely Dan

Another boring one to me, better than Steely Dan but not enough for me to bump it to a3. Favorite song: Coronado
The Offspring

This is literally the album where the people who were too garbage at music to make songs managed to wrest control and make an album. It's bland soulless garbage and whoever says it was a must listen is beholden to nostalgia and definitely should not be reviewing music
