Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Sep 05 2025

I'd put money on this being played at El Prado in Laleston. A real firehose of salsa with the occasional bit of disco bass.

Love it. Love it. Love it.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Nov 12 2025

So 2004. Played it to death _21_ years ago. I don't want to listen to it again. Maybe "This Fire" gets a pass from me on the Burnout 3 soundtrack.

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Nov 14 2025

Hell yeah!

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers

I've had my fill of Swift. Sorry.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Feb 11 2026

Never heard of William Orbit or Strange Cargo so this was a lovely surprise.

Solid Air by John Martyn
Feb 13 2026

Wasnt sure after the first track but man this album is a belter. Listened to it three times back to back.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Feb 17 2026

This was on a lot growing up. Don't mind it but I'm never going to actively put it on. Scratch that. This album slaps. 6/5

Dont mind it.

Love it. Love it. Love it.

Guero by Beck

Feb 26 2026

A Scar Symmetry-ass album title. Good stuff tho but a shame about how much of a PITA it is to find.

Feb 27 2026

This album sucks. I think some bits of it are illegal in the UK now.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Mar 06 2026

Am I being pranked? That album art is rad af and they deliver this?

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Mar 10 2026

Thought I wasn't going to finish it because 2 hours felt like a lot. Put it straight back on when it finished.

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Mar 19 2026

Didn't know what to expect going in, assume it wouldn't be my jam but by the end I was vibing. Headstart for Happiness is superb.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Mar 25 2026

Great voice but 4 hours of basically the same stuff over and over and over again is not my bag.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Mar 27 2026

Millions of words have been penned about Led Zep. About their musicianship, about the plagiarism, etc. This album is screams childhood. Blasting it while my dad zoomed down the M4. Then maybe swap to Budgie or Black Sababth. I can't not give this five stars.

Mar 30 2026

I'm on record as not being a fan of BD but I keep giving him high ratings. Maybe I should Know Thy Self more.

Tommy by The Who

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Apr 01 2026
Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Apr 15 2026

Cymru am byth! I recognised the complaints people have bout it being fairly generic lads with guitars but it was such an vibe in Wales.

Rum Sodomy & The Lash by The Pogues
Apr 16 2026

I'm under the weather and really wasn't in the mood for it at the start but I got more into it over the course of the album.

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Apr 17 2026

Every Jelly Boy loves this album. I am just a jelly boy I am made gelatine Some times it makes me quite annoyed I can only jiggle and spin Met a doctor who walked past Said he had a range of cures Recommended a podcast Said was its called Regular Features Gav Joe Log Mat Steve in my ear holes I did not dare hope for miracles My heart going boom boom boom Then they they said it Jelly boy we're going to give you bones Yeah some bones Some jelly boy bones

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Apr 22 2026

Fair play to JD. Not my normal the kind of thing I'm into but I don't mind it.

All Mod Cons by The Jam
Apr 23 2026

The Jam are defo a blind spot for me. I've heard the hits but never a full album. Was a bit sceptical but the album has good pace. Listening to the 1997 remaster which probably embiggened the sound a little.

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Apr 24 2026

Seems like a sound guy but this album was not for me. I did warm up to it. Particularly liked the last track Eles. Probably not rushing back to the album though.

Apr 28 2026

EJ is so good but just maybe not for me? I'd kinda just experienced him as the punchline to jokes but he's really good.

Third by Soft Machine
Apr 30 2026

You cannot deny this is an album. I like prog a lot more than the average guy but this isn't good in any sort of way.

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
May 01 2026

Good stuff.

Kilimanjaro by The Teardrop Explodes
May 07 2026

The review that said: "I'm at album 1058, and this final stretch has been nothing but albums like "The Scrungles - Jimmy's Poopy Pants; New Wave/Post-Punk, Released in 1982 in the UK, one mildly successful radio hit, named 62nd best album of '82 by Slugflap Magazine"" is entirely correct. I'm only 168 albums in but I'm very bored of lads with jangly guitars

Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
May 08 2026

A bit all over the place, a couple of bangers. A nice change from some the lads with jangly guitars.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
May 14 2026

Sorry lads but I'm not a Stones guy. This is fine.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
May 19 2026

Great stuff! A classic.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
May 21 2026

Listened to a lot of Cream as a child. SOYL is still good but I can leave the rest.

Pretenders by Pretenders
May 27 2026

Quite a few of the tracks could easily sit on the Burnout 3 soundtrack, nice.

Stankonia by OutKast
Jun 01 2026

Great stuff man

Midnight Ride by Paul Revere & The Raiders
Jun 05 2026

The kind of album that makes me give up on the project. It's not bad, it's just fine, so very fine.

The Doors by The Doors
Jun 10 2026

Unbelievable density of all time classics!

Jun 18 2026

I Mott my Hoople at you sir!

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jun 29 2026

I am a teen again. Nice, broadly.

Sea Change by Beck
Jun 30 2026

Initially it felt a bit sad for me, but it's so well made I put it on again.

Pieces Of The Sky by Emmylou Harris
Jul 03 2026

Well executed country but still a sort of melange of country that I find tough to swallow.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jul 07 2026

NIN are one of those bands that I wish I enjoyed more.

Boston by Boston
Jul 10 2026

This album is bound up in so many layers of nostalgia and childhood reverie to not give it 5 stars. Sure it drops off a bit but look at that superb album art.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Jul 14 2026

Oh great great, another Radiohead album /s

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Jul 15 2026

I had EH's Pieces Of The Sky recently which I didn't like. I liked this one more, still not really my jam but I'd listen to this again.

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jul 22 2026

Pink Floyd yesterday and Tarkus today? This is living.

Dirty by Sonic Youth
