"Not wrong, just... Wrong for me".
When I've first listened to the album somewhere in the early 00s, it blew my mind. It starts with Sunday Morning and my first thought when I've heard it was "you're telling me this is the music people were making during the Beatles era"? I felt it sounded like a modern song, not one from almost 40 years ago.
And it's not just Sunday Morning, there's All Tomorrow's Parties, I'll Be Your Mirror, Heroin - I could list the entire album that way.
One of my favorite albums of all time.
There's enough great material for a single album. For a double album I'd say not everything works - but I'm not really a great fan of Led Zeppelin.
But I have to admit, the second I saw the album cover that's been chosen for that they, I immediately heard the riff for Custard Pie in my head.
I've had lots of fun listening to this album and I even came back to re-listen some of the songs during the day. But the thing is, there's just a lot more interesting music from this time period that I already know of.
Still, it's good and I'll definitely introduce it to my kids.
Again, not a bad album. There are some good songs there. But overall, it's just not for me.
Listening to the album I had one thought in my mind - is this just one long song or are the songs so similar to each other that they're indistinguishable? Turned out it's the latter.
Excellent, absolutely unhinged.
When I've realized this is a reggae album I was like "oh no...". But then it turned out the album is pretty fun. I'm probably an ignorant when it comes to reggeae, because when I've heard it I thought "ok, this is not something I would call reggae". It reminded me of bits from Kult's second album "Posłuchaj, to do Ciebie".
If you like you're music interesting, this is the album to go.
Sounds great, the energy is fantastic, liked it a lot.
This is something I should have liked, but I found it really boring.
Didn't like it, found it boring and monotonous.
Short, sweet, but not for me.
It's grand, it's lush, it's beautiful.
It was pretty good, but it's just not my thing.
The guy rips his heart out on the album, and just sits there bleeding, sending banger after banger. It's deeply personal and it ain't pretty, just as art should be.
Her voice is like silk or velvet. Perfect soundtrack for those long, autumn evenings.
Sounds like a typical mid 90s pop album. Not bad, but nothing very interesting.
21 songs in 35 minutes - no time for fillers. Excellent album.
I've always thought Ray Charles music was way more powerful, but it's kind of meh for me. Seems outdated even for its time.
There's energy and some good songs, but ultimately I don't think I'll be revisiting this album very often.
Sound like a concept album, but boring.
The most inoffensive album you'll ever hear in your life. A great soundtrack to riding the elevator. Music for people who hate music.
I think I might have not liked it.
Not great, but pretty different.
Judging by the cover I expected a post punk album, but I was surprised. Not bad, but didn't really catch my attention very well.
Just a hit after hit after hit. I like this album very, very much. It's one star short because it's not one of THE albums for me.
Sounds very uninspired. Didn't like it.
Very earnest, which is probably not that unusual for a country album. There are a few good songs here and there, with Honky Tonk Heroes being an absolute banger.
It's not really that much about the music. It's about the vibes. And the vibes are immaculate.
Very easy listen. Better than expected, considering that this is not my favourite genre.
I had no idea who k.d. lang was. Then when I turned the album on, the most beatiful woman's voice you can imagine hit me. Quite a few excellent songs there, could easily be Bond movie theme songs.
I really enjoyed listening to this album.
Unfortunately I don't take drugs (I even drink my Coke decaf), so couldn't appreciate this album the way it deserves to be appreciated.
Couldn't tell if this was ironically fascist or not.
Absolutely nothing interesting about this one.
Just the right amount of angst.
Seems cozy and familiar, but pretty forgettable.
More interesting than entertaining. I might give it another chance some day.
Not bad, but there are better new rock revolution albums out there.
It's hard to talk about Morrissey's music without considering how much of a douchebag Morrissey is.
But yeah, this is Morrissey in his prime and boy did he know how to write those songs, even if it's not his best material.
Not my favourite material by the Smiths, but still good.
I saw the title and the cover and really wanted to hate this album. Instead I found out it's fun. And let me say this - those aren't players, those are NERDS.
Yeah, it's as good as you've heard.
Come on, this is Low by David Bowie.
Incredibly fun, uncompromising & great songwriting. It still sounds fresh in 2025.
This was a weird one. First of all, I don't know why, but initially I thought this was an album by PANDA Bear. And I was like "alright, let's go!", and then "this doesn't sound like Panda Bear at all".
So, I was disappointed and thought it's kinda boring. But then I decided to give it another try in a more favorable environment.
And it turned out I like it! It's an acquired taste, but there some really nice music in there.
Probably my first unexpected five out of five stars. This truly is the sound of the 90s when it comes to electronic dance music.
I felt like I should give this album AT LEAST 2 stars, because I like The Who. But this album did absolutely nothing for me.
I feel like one day with this album is not enough to really appreciate it. I will probably get back to it at some point.
One of THE albums for me. Perfect in every way. One of the few albums I rate six out of five.
It sounds exactly as you'd expect - Talking Heads-ish sound, but without David Byrne. And don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but it's a nice change.
Very fun, some very good songs. Enjoyed the experience.
It starts incredibly strongly, but then it, well, fizzles out by the end. This is one of the albums I definitely need to listen to later, because I feel that one day was not enough to appreciate it.
It's a little bit like Led Zeppelin, if only you'd take out like 50% of the blues out of the songs and instead replaced it with a little bit more of a pop sound.
So yeah, a little bit like Led Zeppelin, but BETTER than Led Zeppelin.
I didn't love it and again, I don't take drugs so can't appreciate it in full, but it was actually pretty good.
This album is something else. If not for the fact that it's something that's absolutely not for me, that would be a straight up 5/5.
But yeah, you should definitely listen to this album, even if hip-hop is not your thing.
Absolutely unhinged. There's so much going on it's even hard to describe, this is pure emotion translated to music.
Sounds very dated, even for its time. I didn't hate it, but didn't particularly love it as well.
I'll definitely go back to this one. Catchy tunes, good energy, I liked it very much.
It's a mediocre Radiohead album.
That first song is pretty good, but the rest of the album has been a slog for me.
You can say I have basic taste, but this album is fun.
If you've never been a horny 17 year old boy you'll probably not gonna understand this album. There's banger after after banger, it's absolutely relatable and that last song I've been playing pretty much every time I was getting back home from a party when I was a teenage boy.
I don't like Radiohead very much but this an almost perfect mix of experimental and accessible. It's out there with The Bends for me.
It's not that I hate Janis Joplin - I like some of her most famous songs. But this album? I felt nothing.
One of the greates debuts of all time and a truly timeless album. And I literally mean timeless - it doesn't sound like 80s or 90s music (although it has been a blueprint for britpop), it's its own thing.
It's a hair from being a 5/5 for me. But it's so, so good.
