I remember listening to my roommate's copy back in the early 1990s. SO, who isn't a fan of The Cure is impressed with the first song. He had never heard it before and he likes it.
I remember listening to some of their stuff back in the day, but can't say I remember much of it. I like the song "Pitch the Baby" more than "Cherry-coloured Funk". Really can go forever without hearing the first track again. It wasn't awful in a "ugh this is terrible" way, but I just did not like it. However, based on just these 2 tracks, I'm thinking one listen is all I will ever need of this album. "Iceblink Luck" is worse than track 1. I'm trying real hard not to skip it, but I may fail. Not sure I'll make it through all 10 tracks. I did make it through all 10 tracks. They range from okay to nope and overall, forgetable.
This album takes me back. This is such a solid album. Sledgehammer is still hitting hard, but Don't Give Up is incredibly relevant today. This album is such a banger and I'm loving everything about it.
I have owned this album in the past and I loved it. Turtle Blues is my favorite track today although when I was younger it was Piece of My Heart. Interesting how things change over time.
The good: I like the beats. I like some of their rhythms. I like the skits to a point. I like the humor as well.
The bad: Overall, I'm not impressed. I see why they are considered one of the best of that era, and I find them more tolerable than others in this genre, but it's just not for me. The lyrics are not for me.
Good album. I haven't heard Fats in years and it was a nice trip down nostalgia lane. It was a very nice listen and I could see myself revisiting it often, but it didn't grab me enough to put in regular rotation.
Magical album. First heard it as a kid, bought it as a teenager, and I have managed to always have a copy each time a new media took over: records to tapes to CDs to digital. And it's worth it. I particularly like Manic Depression and The Wind Cries Mary, but they are all great.
I like Cream. I like this album. The song Blue Condition was a bit rough though.
Not a bad album. However, it doesn't feel like I want to listen to it again. It's a case of their sound is good, but it's forgettable to me. I did find the second half of the album better than the first half.
This is just not for me. I really did not like this album at all.
First time I've really listened to Marianne Faithful. I've always known of her, but never sought out her music. It's not bad. I also listened to one of her earlier albums which I actually like better than this one, but I'm not particularly interested in seeking out her music again. A case of the music is okay, but just doesn't connect with me.
Decent album. It's not a genre I listen to very often, but this was good.
Better than I expected, although there were a few songs that were a definite nope for me. Overall, I can't say the album turned me into a Prince fan, but I can understand better why he is popular.
Pretty good overall. Lots of talking though.
Excellent album. One of those that is great from the first song to the last.
Fantastic album. I love it from beginning to end and only wish it were longer.
I am surprised by this album. I ended up liking it quite a bit. I particularly liked the song "Clown Strike" which is the first time I've heard it.
Not sure how to explain this. I found the first few songs on the album forgettable and while I did eventually get into the album, I'm not really interested in revisiting it again. One of those glad I listened to it once and maybe a few songs I'll check out again, but overall not really my thing.
So good I listened to it 3 times today.
Quite a decent album. I didn't care for the singles that were released when it first came out, but the album is good.
This album is solid from beginning to end. An amazing album.
Not a bad album. I can understand its influence. However, nothing really drives me towards another listen. Perhaps in a particular mood, I would revisit it, but overall, it was just not for me.
I like The Allman Brothers Band, but I don't like live albums. Some songs become unnecessarily long because of the mini-jam sessions. This doesn't mean the jam sessions aren't good or aren't worth listening to, but it can be overdone. This album is a case of it being overdone. Case in point: Whipping Post. Studio version is just over 5 minutes and the live version on this album is nearly 23 minutes.
This is a great album. I enjoyed it from the first song through the last song and am thinking of putting it into my permanent collection.
I enjoyed the album. I think this is the first album from The Beatles I've heard in its entirety.
I didn’t hate it, but I was glad when it was over.
