Queen Of Denmark by John Grant

I don't understand why this was included. Also, I understand satire but all of the slurs in JC Hates Faggots is unnecessary.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Nov 19 2025

Still sounds good, holds up more than I expected.

1999 by Prince
Nov 20 2025

Not my favorite era of his music.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Nov 21 2025

Dark, haunting and beautiful.

The Band by The Band
Nov 24 2025

Knew some of the songs but there were some nice surprises.

Nov 26 2025

I only had heard of King Crimson. There were some interesting and unexpected melodies. Other songs pushed the envelope so much they were hard to listen to.

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Nov 27 2025

I think Tina Turner was a remarkable performer but struggled to make it through this album. I didn't love the instruments and her voice started to grate on me. I'm sure this was a landmark album when it came out that hasn't stood the test of time.

Dec 01 2025

I know most of these songs. Not my favorite era of Dylan's but a solid album. Favorite songs: Corrina, Corrina and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Dec 02 2025

I had heard the major hits, but not some of the other tracks. Solid album with slower twangy songs to balance out upbeat songs like Street Fighting Man. Overall, enjoyed the album and got a good laugh over the falsetto on Dear Doctor.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Dec 04 2025

This album was new to me other than Golden Years. Start to finish I enjoyed listening to it, it's nice hearing new to me Bowie music. Favorite tracks: Golden Years, Stay

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Dec 05 2025

I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. At first listen I was disappointed, but it grew on me after I kept going.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Dec 08 2025

Delightful start to finish.

War by U2
Dec 09 2025

Love the guitars and drums on this album. A nice reminder of how good early U2 music was. Favorite songs: Two Hearts Beat As One, Drowning Man, New Year's Day

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Dec 10 2025

Had a difficult time finishing this one. Not a fan.

My Generation by The Who
Dec 11 2025

All but two songs were new to me, so there were some nice surprises. The one letdown was the cover of I'm a Man. Favorite songs: Out In The Street, I Don't Mind, It's Not True, The Kids Are Alright

Future Days by Can
Dec 12 2025

Weird and fun. Not something I'd listen to unless I was in the mood, but sounds great considering how long ago it was recorded.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Dec 15 2025

The comments on this album were all over the place and there was a lot of discussion on lyrics. I won't comment on messages or lyrics since I only listened two times through, but I enjoyed this. I know some of his music, but only his biggest hits. Favorite song: Compton

Dec 16 2025

Struggled with this. I believe that Eminem has talent as a wrapper and is clever. This album goes too far into being offensive and shocking people for me to enjoy.

Fishscale by Ghostface Killah
Dec 17 2025

Fun to listen to and considering all of the people involved feels like an album with a story. Favorite songs: The Champ, Be Easy, Back Like That

Dec 23 2025

I look back at many 90s albums with nostalgia, this isn't one of them. Favorite song: Gotta Get Away

Love this album. Neil Young isn't for everyone, but this album is a gem in my opinion. Favorite songs: Out on the Weekend, Old Man, Alabama

An interesting album to listen to and different than other music I know by Blur. I enjoyed the album but none of the songs stood out in particular.

This is a time machine album that took me back to the late 90s when I first heard it. Favorite songs: Wrong, Flipside, Single

Jan 16 2026

I understand why this was selected, but I didn't enjoy listening to it.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Feb 17 2026

Here are there I like Creedence, an album is too much John Fogerty for me.

Feb 18 2026

Nice discovery that I wouldn't have found on my own. Favorite song: Savane

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Feb 20 2026

Great album, very enjoyable.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Feb 23 2026

I love The Cure and while this isn't my favorite album, it sounds great considering it was released in 1980. Favorite tracks: A Forest, In Your House, Secret, Play for Today. Album art: Obscure and fits the album's mood. I don't love the dropped C in "CURE", otherwise great. Cure fans, if you love A Forest listen to Frankie Rose's cover

Other than Faith I found myself missing the synthpop of Wham.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Apr 27 2026

I would never have found this album if it wasn't on the list. Enjoyable to listen to but nothing stood out as a favorite. The one thing I kept thinking listening to the first few songs was how much it reminded me of Tracy Chapman.

A Short Album About Love by The Divine Comedy
May 15 2026

The album name implies that this is either an ode to Shakespeare or a joke. I'm guessing the latter. I'm puzzled why this was included, there are other takes on standards that are done better. Favorite songs: Someone

Jul 08 2026

I know and love a few Dwight Yoakam songs but didn't know this album. Overall I enjoyed it, I love the start of Buenas Noches but it was ruined by being a song about killing your cheating lover. Favorite songs: Streets of Bakersfield, I Got You

Bert Jansch by Bert Jansch
Jul 09 2026

Nice album of folk songs, I really liked the instrumentals. The lyrics and vocals can be melancholy. This would have been better to listen to in colder months than during a hot July. Favorite songs: Courting Blues, Smokey River, Casbah, Angie

Jul 29 2026

Not sure why this was on the list, but at the time I'm guessing it was significant.

Meat Puppets II by Meat Puppets
Jul 31 2026

I only know Meat Puppets from Nirvana covers. Their music is different, but I'm not sure why it made this list unless it was because Nirvana loved them? The music might be ok, but the vocals on some songs are grating. Favorite track: Aurora Borealis
