Still sounds good, holds up more than I expected.

Not my favorite era of his music.

Dark, haunting and beautiful.

My favorite Clash album.

I only had heard of King Crimson. There were some interesting and unexpected melodies. Other songs pushed the envelope so much they were hard to listen to.

I think Tina Turner was a remarkable performer but struggled to make it through this album. I didn't love the instruments and her voice started to grate on me. I'm sure this was a landmark album when it came out that hasn't stood the test of time.

I know most of these songs. Not my favorite era of Dylan's but a solid album. Favorite songs: Corrina, Corrina and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right

I had heard the major hits, but not some of the other tracks. Solid album with slower twangy songs to balance out upbeat songs like Street Fighting Man. Overall, enjoyed the album and got a good laugh over the falsetto on Dear Doctor.

Great time capsule album that still sounds good.

This album was new to me other than Golden Years. Start to finish I enjoyed listening to it, it's nice hearing new to me Bowie music. Favorite tracks: Golden Years, Stay

I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. At first listen I was disappointed, but it grew on me after I kept going.

Struggled with this. I believe that Eminem has talent as a wrapper and is clever. This album goes too far into being offensive and shocking people for me to enjoy.

I didn't love this album when it came out because it was one you couldn't get away from on the radio. With time I've grown to enjoy it. It's remarkable how solid the album is considering it was written when she was only 20-21. Favorite songs: All I Really Want, You Oughta Know, You Learn, Wake Up

I'm nearly 75 albums in and happy to have been recommended this album. I wouldn't have come across this album on my own. I loved it and listened to it 5 times. This album gets off to a strong start with Highway Star. The rest of the album is a bit of a let down for me. Favorite songs: Highway Star

This is a great collection of standards. I don't know all of the originals, but the ones I recognize have been cleverly rearranged. At times some of the strings grate on me, but it's a double album. Other than Faith I found myself missing the synthpop of Wham.

Strong start with Roundabout which I love. The rest of the album is interesting, but doesn't reach the same height. The America cover was a fun surprise. Favorite songs: Roundabout, The Fish, Heart of the Sunrise

Listened to this album twice. I know people love this band but I can't get into it. Cure for the Itch is interesting. I could hear pieces of Moby, DJ Shadow and The Avalanches. Favorite songs: Cure for the Itch, In the End

Thanks to 1001 albums I've heard a lot more Rod Stewart than I would have guessed. To that note, I was curious why there were two singers on this album. Debris is a good song but I don't love the other singer. Favorite songs: Memphis, Stay with Me

I would never have found this album if it wasn't on the list. Enjoyable to listen to but nothing stood out as a favorite. The one thing I kept thinking listening to the first few songs was how much it reminded me of Tracy Chapman.

I only know Meat Puppets from Nirvana covers. Their music is different, but I'm not sure why it made this list unless it was because Nirvana loved them? The music might be ok, but the vocals on some songs are grating. Favorite track: Aurora Borealis

REM is a favorite of mine, so I'm incredibly biased. I love this album, it's one of the first I listened to of theirs so it is special to me. Favorite tracks: Welcome to the Occupation, Disturbance at the Heron House

Trainspotting was my introduction to Iggy Pop. Two songs from that soundtrack appear here and they make for a great album. Favorite tracks: Lust for Life, The Passenger, Success, Fall In Love with Me
