Great background music while vacuuming. Zero non-fillers and a 2:40 cover on a 34 minute album. You may start to suspect this is definitely not my kind of music and you'd be absolutely right, but that only proves my low musical event horizon
Bay area boomers pretending to be cajun swamp guys - what a wierd premise. The vibrato-tremelo guitar tone is pretty cool, even though it sounds like Austin Powers. Has this band been ruined by pop culture? Probably, but was there ever really that much there to begin with? Not really. It's not that there's anything really to dislike, just that there's nothing there. It's such dull plodding blues rock with no real stand out elements in terms of performance, song-writing, anything. It's like a high school jamband that hasn't learned how to move beyond a vamp + solo. They put out 3 albums in one year - terrible idea. A tight 30-minute 7-song best of CCR album would be a fine 2* entry in over-played classic rock lane, but 2 of their mid hits and 5 tracks of good ol' chooglin' not so much.
No interest in this. I am definitely not in the target demographic
Muzak boring muzak
DNF'd halfway through this is just NOT my thing ngl
this one didn't touch me. nothing really stood out
Yeah I only like Fortunate Son
Swamp rock is really not my thing. Just couldn't do it.
borrrrrrin
Not for me.
I remember when AC/DC came on the scene. It was like nothing else. And I remember seeing documentaries later that described the shock wave of that guttural voice, screaming out songs like Back in Black. We all thought it was something totally new. But now I realize it was just an echo of John Fogarty from Creedence Clearwater Revival. It’s funny, if you go back and listen to Little Richard‘s version of Good Golly, Miss Molly, even he uses guttural vocalizations from time to time, so it’s nothing new. But even he didn’t sing that way all the time. That seems to be what John Fogerty brought to rock ‘n’ roll. Long before AC/DC and all the Cookie Monster metal bands that would follow. I must say I do like the harmonica in some of these Credence songs, and I appreciate how bluesy they are, and just like Wikipedia said I could hear them trying to imitate Steve Cropper‘s guitar (he of Blues Brothers fame), just not as well. Proud Mary is the best effort here and it still sounds like something you would see in a movie made for boomers. Credence has a dozen or more really great songs, but they’re all on other albums.
Just dreadful. So slow. Other than proud Mary this album really does not do CCR justice
it's nice but it ain't my thing at all

Best thing I can say is that the running time of 34 minutes made the miserable listening experience as short as possible. It got ever so slightly interesting with Good Golly Miss Molly. Never trust a hippy.
Nahhh couldn't get into it
bruh
Такое, практически не зашёл, не знаю в какой ситуации он понравится.
"Keep on Chooglin'?" Lmaoooooo
Como me sigan mandando estos discos me voy a dar de baja en el servicio. Me gustan menos del 10% y el resto son una verdadera tortura.
throw it in the trash
