- 60s Britpop - to be fair I never really enjoy this sound - but this album did nothing to change my mind
- felt like it had potential but it was never realized
- love some good disco - Le Freak is a classic - really enjoyable listen
- I don’t know why but this guy just feels like a creep - some interesting instrumentation -2.5 but I’ll round up
- good vibes
- solid but not as amazing as I had anticipated
- really quality music
- these guys aren’t it for me - almost funky but not
- started hot but fell off
- kinda operatic with his voice - probably deep but it wasn’t resonating with me
- a little too quirky for me - I know Rock Lobster is popular but it’s still a little too weird for me
- an icon - listen, the lyrics are gruesome and disturbing - but his flow and word choice is what helped him stick even without the shocking content - I can see why he started outsourcing his choruses lmao
- her voice is so great - not a strong as Back to Black
- this is one of the few bands from this time period that I think really have an edge - this is really solid punk, love the noisy guitars and the vocals
- very conflicted on this album - his spoken word isn’t really for me - entertaining music behind him tho - and the backup singers kind of carried
- quality singer/songwriter - great voice and guitar
- better than Remain in Light - kinda hit that pop rock sound but obviously with more pizzazz
- really really good - they have a way of creating emotion in their music - Wish You Were Here is a beautifully nostalgic song
- woah this is cool - definitely indie rock but you can tell it’s still the grunge generation - if this came out today it would be considered emo
- kind of boring to me - she has a nice voice and there are some good moments -2.5
- you can hear the 80s rock fading into the beginning of grunge - they may have started the wave, but they didn’t perfect it - 3.5, round up for how iconic they are
- decent singer/songwriter - a little less spoken word - still not something I enjoy
- interesting mix of background music and pop songs - I kind of enjoyed it but not thoroughly
- I liked this a lot more than I thought I would - cool blend of surf rock and punk - guitars were awesome - nice album cover -3.5
- good storyteller - female Leonard Cohen, but better - enjoyable style for a song or two but not a whole album
- this is a really really good album - her voice is incredible - awesome variety of sounds - rivals ABBA in my opinion -4.5
- this was mostly a tough listen - a couple 90s jams - otherwise this album is made for people who like the same 5 words repeated over and over
- fun concept album - really great musicianship with lots of variety - sounds were a little less interesting near the end
- sheesh talk about repetitive - I can almost appreciate it - very 70s punk sound - how many live albums can a band have?
- fantastic soul - really enjoyed my listen -3.5
- high quality vibes - exactly what I want to listen to on a warm summer night
- really cool original punk rock - great guitar riffs - a real give no fucks attitude
- great sound - nice chill listen
- aggressive but enjoyable - love some of the bass lines
- I appreciate this even know I wouldn’t usually listen to it - creates a sense of drama - feel like they were the super early version of the Deftones
- really solid Americana - love the vocals
- solid but not for me - live and long
- Steely Dan strikes a groove unlike anyone I’ve ever heard - the variety of lyrics and sounds is perfect - not a single sleeper on the album - imagine listening to this sipping on an iced tea on a warm Saturday afternoon
- started off like a female Leonard Cohen but got better - kinda in the Fiona apple female singer/songwriter vibe
- lots of variety of sound - don’t love the voice - a little all over the place
- same year as Sgt. Pepper? Fishy - solid, some enjoyable tunes
- this is a good album - really digs into the blues - Riders on the Storm is a classic, but is it overrated?
- this is peak 2010s alternative - sounds like high school - some really great songs but a few fillers as well
- this is a fantastic album front to back - the guitar riffs are so clean - layne’s voice is so unique - perfect grunge album
- decent, this isn’t any old crap - still not really moving me tho
- this album was much better than I expected - the songs are tight and well made - loved the variety in sound, especially Helter Skelter
- wow this is really solid - I love how simple the guitars and beats are, but they still play an integral role - the dual vocals work really well
- solid album - cool elements of blues
