I Against I
Bad BrainsCouldn't really get into this.
Couldn't really get into this.
This reminds me of a soundtrack for a movie like Blade; get repetitive with a driving beat. Listening to it on it's own is... Fine. Just a little boring. I'm sure these were bangers in the club, though. I can absolutely see some drunk AF guy finger blasting his high AF rando in the dance floor of Jive while Breathe plays in the background. Lesser known tracks>>>>Famous ones (minefields>breathe)

A good album. A little messy but solid. I think their later work is better.
Great album. Even the overplayed singles are better in context. Not my favorite thing in the world but really good.
Great jams. Driving without being dramatic.
Not my favorite REM album. With the exception of The Wrong Child, I can't really groove with anything. It's not bad, just right down the middle. If you're a fan of the band, you probably will like this. If you're not, it's not going to convince you.
Amazing. Never even heard of the guy.
Surprisingly loved this!
Not as great as I remember it. The top songs are amazing and it's not bad by any stretch, but there's a lot in here that's a little generic and repetitive. Still a good listen.
Excellent songs. Not quite my speed but lots of fun.
Not bad by any stretch, and it's clear how Clapton influenced numerous artists across multiple genres, but I found this album to be only ok.
I get that people need to experiment and this wasn't terrible. But it really wasn't something I ever needed to listen to ever again.
Fine. Just fine.
One of the best albums ever. When the "worst" song is an A- Neil Young song, you know it's something that will be discussed for decades.
AI could have written this album. Good background music. Uninventive.
Not his best album but so so cool.
Fantastic prog rock.
The guy's a magician. Don't love every song but it's got soul.
Very enjoyable even though I'm not a huge David Bowie fan.
A ton of fun! And lots of variety.
Not my speed.
Unending guitar solos aside, this is a really good album.
Lot of fun listening to this album. I'd forgotten some of the tracks, and there were a couple surprises, too. Not the best album ever but I really liked it.
Does it deserve to be the top selling album of all time? No. But it's a lot of fun.
Punk isn't my scene but this is a great album.
The prototypal live rock and roll album.
Utterly generic.
Fun.
Not really my speed but not terrible.
Like Slurm, it's surprisingly addictive.
Back half is not as strong as the front, but when one of your "weaker" songs is the opening single that is one of the most iconic rock songs of all time, you've got a classic.
Fun.
I love Willie and some of these slap but it's not my favorite album.
All the songs about infidelity you can stand!
Fine but very 80s.
Surprisingly rocking.
A Boy Named Sue alone is worth five stars.
Unexpectedly driving and amazing.
Aggressively mediocre. All the non-singles sound the same.
Fine.
Some of this aged like milk but the top hits are still great decades later.
Surprisingly not as many bongos as you'd expect
Killer classic Southern Rock.
It's a steep drop-off after roundabout but this is a solid album.
A great album but over produced. Still a classic.
A lot of fun. I'm not sure I love it but it's decent stuff.
Very meh.
One of the best albums ever.
A little front heavy but still an excellent album.
Not my speed.
Not a huge punk fan but this is a fun album.
Shocked how much I liked this album. 80s distilled.
One of the greats.
Some really killer hits mixed with some filler, but when it slaps, it slaps.
One or two good songs but mostly repetitive.
Some really good songs on this but not quite best album ever.
Really enjoyed this.
A fun album but not my favorite of theirs.
Grew on me
Not his best album but still really good.
The top song is one of my favorites of all time. The rest is ok.
One of the best albums ever.
One of the best live rock albums ever.
Like Slurm, it's surprisingly addictive.
Middling techno but fine for background music.
Fun rock album.
Not their best album but a lot of fun.
Fun background music.
Eno does great stuff. This ain't it.
Never really been into NIN. This isn't my really thing but it's fine.
Some really good stuff mixed with meh.
Decent. Short.
Not bad! I enjoyed some of this.
Foundational rock and roll.
A really fun album but not the Beatles at their peak.
Decent and different.
No real amazing songs but very good all around.
One of the greatest debut albums of all time.
Some good stuff but it all felt samey.
Didn't hate this. A few songs were choice.
Not my speed.
Very 80s. Couple of great tracks at the end but mired in garbage.
Some really good stuff with some other stuff that hasn't aged as well.
Love big band but this is only 'good.'
Fun album. Short.
It's decent. I don't understand why people worship the ground she walks on but she's fine.
As vile as Courtney Love can be, this is a shockingly good album.
REM at ots REMest.
Decent but not my favorite RnB album.
K-mart Johnny Cash, but there's some quality.
My parents loved Steely Dan and played them a lot as a kid. I can't help but associate it with my childhood, although I readily admit that it isn't to everybody's tastes.
I'm sure this is important but I just can't live it as more than background music.
Exceptional.
Love me some Radiohead.
Foundational rock n roll.
If you told me this was a loving parody of this kind of album, made by the Hippos in the late 90s, I'd have never questioned it. Still, there are a couple songs on here that I like unironically.
Good stuff.
A few great songs mixed with a ton of filler.
Really fun album. Not exactly my speed but lots of great music.
Great album that I'd never heard of.
Love this album.
Surprisingly fun up front but it loses a lot of steam in the back half.
Hell yes
Each song is enjoyable but listening to them back to back makes them feel samey. Still a rocking album.
A great album. I don't worship at the altar of Carole King like some, but this is undeniably killer.
Not quite my thing but there was some good stuff here.
Some really good songs on here. Not my favorite of Mitchell's but still really really good.
Couldn't really get into this.
No one single song stood out but it was all great.
I know this is foundational but it was only good background music for me.
Inarguably one of the best debut albums of all time.
Amazing.
Fine
Not a huge Oasis fan but there's some good stuff here.
I always thought of Foo Fighters as Nirvana-Lite, but I now realize they're their own version of Lite beer.
A lot less harsh than I expected.
There's an album for everyone. This just ain't mine.
Fun but a little judgey.
Great album and ending with God Save the Queen is such a boss move.
No.
Very very top heavy but those are some killer beats.
I never got the hype for this album.
Some great funk mixed a with a lot of meh.
I'll never be a huge Beck fan but this was a decent album.
Fun and lots of different styles.
I liked this album! I wouldn't ever listen to any one song but as a end it has a great vibe.
I'll never really love this genre but this was good.
An amazing album but I have to dock a star for the length.
Great album filled with hits.
All over the place but fun.
A little same-y, but still excellent.
When the first song on your debut album is legendary, you know you're in for a good time.
"No we're not getting Bob Dylan at the store! We have Bob Dylan at home."
Surprisingly good album
Meh.
A couple great songs mixed with... Well, mix.
A lot of hits on this but I still don't love it.
Some good stuff but fairly generic 80s pop.
Short, explosive, and fun.
An excellent album that's way, way too long.
Smashing
Great album, awful people.
No thanks.
Surprisingly not garbage.
Foundational and fun
Great album but but my favorite of the Stones
One of my parents favorites, and I can understand why. Killer tunes and great fun.
