Listening to this is like listening to a good preacher's sermon. Even though you can tell they have the talent, it's super boring and a little part of you wants to die the whole time.
It's no Let It Be
War never changes.

May have sounded like Phantom Island, but can't say for sure.
About 37 minutes longer than it needed to be. It just kept going.
Totally fine. Solid. Some classic sounds. You kind of get the point after about the 3rd song. It's not Ibsen
It's like beach boys on acid
I've always liked the Idea of Tom Waits--I just don't think I'm cool enough to listen to him without feeling like a fraud.
Sounds like music from a Tarantino movie.
What's Bez? You know Flavor Flav from Public Enemy? No. Well, he's like that, but with maracas.
Memorable only for the flagrant use of chorus.
What?
I mean, it's jazz. I don't get jazz yet.
Awesome
Vocals aren't my favorite, but not that bad. Pretty good for a late-aughts indie album. Reminds me my days living in war-torn Portland.
Ain't no demo
Not bad for 80s
Not my favorite Beck album, but solid.
Pretty British
Like Zeppelin with a bit of ween
I forgot what the artist name was a couple times, but they reminded me.
Unapologetically a 5. This is brown. Humiliation Street absolutely rips.
Not bad for Bob Dylan. Not exactly good, though.
I didn't realize how good this was 20 years ago
Impressive that they can make such cheesy music with a straight face.
Not really sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. Weird, but pretty good.
Baby baby baby baby... Etc. yep, sounds like Zeppelin.
This album is definitely not "good", but it's the probably one of the most interesting things I've heard after 100 albums. Why the rating is lower than all these generic Britpop albums is beyond me.
Pretty Okay
Forgettable
Sounds ahead of it's time, but still sounds like punk.
Weird

I'm surprised how much I don't hate this
I listened to this as I ran through a very generic new housing development. All the houses looked the same, and were some shade of grey. This album is the musical equivalent of that neighborhood.
Pretty generic, probably a 3, but a few songs were mixed in a way that made me feel like my ears needed to pop. Maybe it was the remaster, but the music wasn't memorable enough to listen again and find out.
Strong 4 in relation to other 80s music, but still a 3 overall.
I'm surprised how much I don't hate this
Proto-Deftones. I don't hate The Cure as much as I always thought I did.
Maybe I'll listen again when I'm not running on a highway.
Not too bad considering it's Coldplay.
Good for a run through the woods.
Satan rules
Not bad for reggae -- which equates to two stars.
Yeah, all the songs sound about the same, but I thought it was fun.
It's been 12 hours and I don't remember anything at all about this. Completely unmemorable.
Epic. No, really. This album is fucking rad.
Apparently, there are people who don't like Radiohead. People also like nuts and lager. People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.
Like a better Neil Young
Honestly kind of dig this
better than nevermind in my opinion these guys were going places
?
Ugh
This would be a 5 if it had been recorded either 10 years earlier or 10 years later. Those 80s drums and excessive chorus bring it down a notch.
Kind of hoping this is the last dexys album in this list
Ambition makes you look pretty ugly.
Could have been 45 minutes shorter, and it would have been a 4.
Chef's Kiss
Finally. I always thought there was something I was missing about Zappa. It seemed like I should be into him, but everyone I heard was a bit cheesy. The secret ingredient is him keeping his mouth shut
War never changes.
Did you know the somewhat obscure Beck song Deadweight borrows a phrase from this album? You do now.
Best Britpop so far. Actually pretty good. As a Radiohead fan, I didn't know anybody in Britain in the mid 90s wasn't miserable, which I guess is nice in hindsight.
I'm 13 and this is deep.
Not memorable
I bet Beyonce is pissed she can't do this
I bet Beyonce is pissed she can't do this
Fuck off
All the songs sound essentially the same, but at least it's a good sound.
Not very moreish
Fuck yeah
The Chili Peppers of Metal
We like having this one in the house
Deaner
Fuck you Kanye, this is really good.
Probably a 4 if it weren't so incredibly long
