1001 Albums Summary

This album was like reaching into the catacombs of Santa’s music bag and pulling out a time capsule of when rock, alternative, psychedelic, indie, and metal all merged into one genre, if ever. I can’t say that I adored it. I can say I appreciated it.

Dude Judas Priest fucking rocks! 🔥

Some songs I liked. Some songs I didn’t. One I skipped after about a minute. I liked the alternate vibes of this album but it didn’t mix super well with its psychedelic element. It was relatively cool to finally discover the song that’s on like every single commercial ever. Wouldn’t listen again.

This artist seemed to me like a knock off stevie nicks. I’m not even sure what genre this belongs to? Punk n roll? Apparently this album is not only one of the 1001 greatest albums but is also a top 100 album all time. It wasn’t for me. I do appreciate the artist’s sentiment, though: “it doesn’t ask to be understood, only felt.”

I have heard of Neil Young but never sat down and listened before. It was pretty great! I do think the songs had all the same vibe and wasn’t particularly blown away by one, so I rated 4. I would listen again.

I like this album a lot! As well as this era of music. I need to figure out what a 5 star is and what a 1 star is. I didn’t like this as much as Judas Priest. So that’s the bar?

Dude Johnny cash is so bad ass. I give this album a 5 which I think is my second along with Judas Priest. It was his last album before he died and I felt like you could hear that in some of the songs.

Love this album. For a long time I never realized there was more to reggae than Bob Marley. This one had a huge impact on my my Whole life!
