Let me roll is, a song I knew, but not the name of it, half "slow bangers" half plucky dittys.
Sounds like a different band every song
Last track is great, seems to be the most non Paul track.
The reprise at the end got old, felt like this album ran out of steam a bit
So many slappers!
Big time - new fav
I guess PG did sledgehammer first?
Strong all the way.
Yes dude
Peak offspring, 3 classic bangers on here in : come out and play, self esteem, genocide, gotta get away.
This album is 32 years old .. but incredibly applicable still today, as most punk is the struggle persist.
I knew this was going to feel modern with the current federal occupation of MPLS.
Bad habit still hits so hard.
Combat anthems
Few perky/ skaish silly, classic offspring tracks
Still kinda fresh. Great album for what it's trying to be, it knows what it is and rips it.
Fuck yes
Amazing again how applicable this is, fighting the exact same fight 30 years later.
I'll always be amazed that this was perceived by the right the way it was, hmm
Gosh I kinda get it but mostly don't.
I can hear the English bean and the clash in there somewhere but feel like I'm missing the point/ significance here. I see the groundwork for some great English bands in here but is seems very surface level.
Feels like the safe/BBC version of what was actually happening....
Maybe I don't have a personal connection/ like the wrong football team or something. Just nothing I found really that moving. But ya can hear some of the downstairs impacts of this.
What a fun pool of vibes, one rif jazz?
Album is 2hr long so can't do the whole thing but love the concept, think I caught some common samples in there.
For what it is I found it rather interesting
Song names somehow really match the vibe of the songs only using a few notes generally
I'll be damned if this ant Alan Sparhawk's favorite album lol, just get lost in the sound and sometimes annoyed.
4
Damn fun,
Totally a sort of bridge/ mix of a few things album, it rips tho.
Sacred love recorded over the prison phone is wild/ amazing...
What a sound, lots going on here, gets into a bit more of a hair metal vibe but I can see the door open to some good trash/ heavy metal.
Track "I against I' is the slapper, most punk, then the rest of it kinda drifts away from that style, first 3 tracks fuck
4
Some of the best original songs ever made of this puppy. Stunning.
Spun this on the was to the ski hill in Vermont.
Ok we a bit back, could be working on a 4+ here if this stays this fun. So many songs on this one that I very much love.
So much more ruckus than I remember lol hell yeah..
Fuck it, 5. This shit so awesome and some of my favorites.
Probably more important/ better than 4 but was in an awful headspace for this at the time.
Trying to fly home from Boston in the snow storm
Didn't really listen, come back to someday, did half of it,
Kinda dig the spaced out vibe but I'm not really seeing the need to go 4
I really liked the vibe of it at the time just not really anything that stands out to me
Very beautiful lyrics and voice. Great album, rather chill, added one song to the list.
Short and sweet, hard to beat, loved it.
These lil french fuckers on to something here, likes this way more than I thought I would
Very much enjoying the smooth jazzy sba vibes. This is a great chilling/ work album.
I'm way down with this, might go 5 here but probably 4.
The Reggie basanova if fire
Honestly loved it, I get the hype,
It's fine/ good
I remember feeling 3.5
This shit fresh
What a vibe and sound, and still mixes it up.
Probably a 5
I don't know man... Some gravely bob d here.
I'll give the next dylan album a better shot
Expected to be like so fast loud and wall of sound, it's like boring and I don't know how to feel about it.
The "rock singer voice" doing like so.much lifting. This is all so.much slower than I expected 2 right now.
Just kinda amazingly un remarkable...
This a 1 if not for the vibe
The birth of emo, can dig it, probably more of a 3.5 but going 4 for the vibes
Kinda strangely into this, country Neil Young/ jam band Neil Young? Would normally find this kind bland but it's speaking to me, 3.5 but going 4 on the record.
This is so fucking fire, how have I like never heard of this band at all?
The first avalanches? Basically yes. An album so full of great samples it would be impossible to make today.
Huge shame this album not on YTM
4+ out the gate
Ya 4+ this was fun
I mean ya, smooth and out there reggae tone l don't know how to spell but added it to the chill work list, 4
Jazz jazzy, chill vibe was great for what I know about jazz (nothing)
My God some of this is annoying lol, screeching for a whole song, fuckin come on.
Child in time got to be one of the most annoying songs in history.
This hard to listen to, one review said it was masturbatory and that's so fitting.
Nothing.... Forever basic solo of something, "Rock lyric" , strum strum boring and annoying.
The cheesy like Jaguar sound bit is a joke right? Lol
Made it to "hard lovin man" turned it off, another awful song that seems like a joke.
I get it, and even like other albums of that same style but found this just awful, my first 1?
What a lovely lil listen so far,
Ya fluffy as all get up, I can dig it.
Kinda instant 5....
Honestly, listened to this last year and it hit even harder, this a big one for me but on re-spin not sure it's a 5... Wow
This amazing
Great vibes, beautiful vocals
This is so much better then some similar albums from the era I have reviewed recently
Lovely creative lyrics. Jaunty and fresh
This was kinda sharp on a personal level, tribulations with relationships and love, hard topic.
Well done great voice but kinda not wildly ground breaking.
Wow this is LOADED with classic bangers, they really only needed to make this one album lol, wow.
Kinda got to be a 5, for the time so fuckin fun.
Kinda making me go insane trying to work and listen. It's nice but ya not for me I guess 3?
This was so fresh and different I love the freedom he was given on this album. You can just tell and feel he didn't change a thing for the studio.
His appetite for "lovin" is just un-matched lolol. Absolute animal.
The album also has crazy rang, funk, soul, hard rock, hip hop. Feels like an honest and true personal expression.
Even more down trotted then other I listened to, not much stood out but busy day. Sold 3
I'm digging it, so clever, cheeky
Good mood, but really enjoyed 4
Very chill, krunbin inspirational
God i fuckin can't stand this lazy ass band, ACDC has always pissed me off for it's absolutely boring and shit lerycs and basic ass riffs.
Always felt like this band is the pinecle or mass appeal, record company pipeline slop.
ACDC are responsible for some of the worst/ most boring tracks of all time. Just slop built on slop- it's like they were given a book of "fun American phrases" and made songs as fast as possible in the topics, shoved them into popular culture.
Aerosmith and ACDC are responsible for 90% of the songs on the classics rock radio station that made me turn it off instantly. These bands fall so soundly in my group of bands and songs that never healed up from this era, it was radio slop for a time this music was very popular, that's it, nothing more. This shit is only relevant because a single generation had never heard an electric guitar before.
So fucking lazy and unremarkable.
Like honestly how does one get more then 30 seconds into any of these songs and think "I need more of this or can't wait to see where this goes". Ugggg
Like this is how all the songs were made: think of a phrase- sing it 10 times- fuck it electric guitar riff,
Don't even get me started on how toxic the lerycs actually are too, so gross, 0 if it was possible
