So melancholy and excellent
I loved it. So odd and so sublime.
How have I been sleeping on her???
I really like this. Made me feel more than I expected. How was I not an REM fan before?

Fun, not my favorite. Tom Sawyer was great.
Really liked some of the guitar work! The singing is not my fave, and the experimental stuff doesn’t stand the test of time but some really really good tracks in there
Prince
Fun and bluesy, lyrics meh
Fun, a little preachy but good music. Kinda jazzy, you can see the evolution of music here which is cool
Good pop country
Wtf? 5 stars
Love it
Bleh jay z. He’s the McDonald’s of rap.
A nice surprise
Amazing, soft folk with amazing instruments
Expected a little better. Will listen to their later stuff, this was a little too rough and jazzy for me.
So good for the early 90s wtf
Why was I sleeping on this. Vibey and tranche but also old school guitar and vocals
Very unique singing, enjoyable and intriguing but you have to be in the mood for something non conventional
Amazing, sadly have to skip stairway but it’s a classic
A classic
Great lyrics, chill vibes
Fun but a little to heavy on the 80s snare and percussion matching
Love it!
Very unique pop, good or great at times but inconsistent
Some gems but not my favorite abba album right now
Wasn’t sure at first, but it really starts hitting as you go. Very jazzy
I need to learn the harmonica
Very hit or miss. The highs are all time classics and the lows are hard to listen to. How do you even rate an album like that?
Levels were weird. Couldn’t hear the singer?
Love it
Love it. Tim Buckley had problems though, damn.
Ok, but didn’t hold my interest for the whole album
I don’t get it. Maybe he’s a great producer but why would you listen to his solo work?
Yeah this a classic.
So melancholy and excellent
A gem. 5/5
Ok I actually loved this
So melancholy. I love it.
A lot better than I expected for experimental
Chill but not amazing. Better than bad.
Wanted it to be so much better. Most songs just weren’t listenable for me
Adele slaps. I guess everyone but me knew that.
Absolutely lovely
Really liked it. Great vocals, great jazz influences, and the beat made me move.
I just love the talking heads!
Reminded me of the doors. Liked it but not crazy about it
So much more to this than bittersweet symphony. Loved it!
I mean, come on.
So compelling. Loved it.
Maybe too old school for me. Not bad though!
Really old timey but very fun. The songs are very sweet and romantic too
Some promise, but I really didn’t like the churchy/religious songs
I really like this. Made me feel more than I expected. How was I not an REM fan before?
Some classics but some really generic songs here too. They kind of do the same thing romance authors do, where they don’t really describe any of the women they’re talking about. It’s ok once in a while but there are so many songs in a row just about some faceless nameless girl that it’s off putting and almost seems gimmicky.
Halfway through the first song the influence this group has is apparent on drum and bass, dubstep, all of electronic music. It’s a little dated but obviously earns its place on this list.
How did I not listen to this before? This is exactly my jam.
Really fun. Some great bops, really nice guitar
Here were go. Not their best, but still one of the best of all time.
Wild. Over the top, occasionally brilliant, sometimes dated, but very fun.
So good. Should have listened to the whole album earlier
Can an accent be too strong?
Am I getting jaded about the 70s?
Really liked it. Banger after falsetto banger
So county
Can’t remember the last time I listened to it all the way through.
I mean it’s a classic.
This does not spark joy
I loved it. So odd and so sublime.
I just can’t get into these guys.
Pretty ok, not great. Not sure why this is on here tbh.
Campy, dated, boomer as hell but very fun. Somehow 4/5? 3.5 but let’s round up
Shreddy shreddy shreddy byeowwww
It’s ok.
Pretty fun!
How have I been sleeping on her???
I liked it better than I expected!
Some of it I liked, but I think of all the genres that Henry, techno ages the worst. And the techno on this album is just a miss for me.
Good but not great 90s hip hop
Ok, I see you Ananda! The first song grabbed me in a way that the last few albums on here haven’t.
One of many albums that affirms my believe that electronic music has not aged well. Maybe pretty lights and other contemporaries will age better? This sounds like captain kirks nightmare.
It’s fine.
It’s weird! I like the instrumental parts, vocals I feel like you have to be in a certain mood to enjoy.
“It’d be better if it weren’t live” -Aubz. I didn’t hate it but it didn’t feel special or particularly unique.
Was not the vibe.
Weird but I love it
It’s the pixies! 5/5
Fun and folksy
So chill, love it.
Really enjoyed it
Love it. So calming and sweet and a little sad
Oh hey I know this one
Really vibey, I liked it!
Just so good. Love the groove, the vibes, etc
Subversive, sublime, takes me right back to a time and place
So vibey, I loved it
Love the Roots. Varied styles, but all good
Just fine
Can something be TOO 90s hip hop? (I know this came out in the 80s but it’s 90s to me and I’m the one writing this??)
Now I know what they’re saying when they go mey mama naa naa nanana. 3/5.
I like it. Jay Z still sucks tho.
Vibey, we liked it
We liked it! Wirth listening to beyond take on me
I liked it more than Aubz… also Anderson .paak
