Moving Pictures by Rush
Jan 07 2024

It’s ironic that my husbands favorite album was the first album generated. We’ve been to Toronto and stood in front of the album cover building. Great music!

So by Peter Gabriel
Jan 09 2024

Powerful lyrics Great music. He was ahead of his time. One of my favorite albums

Aja by Steely Dan
Jan 10 2024

Such soothing lyrics and music. I forgot how mellow and happy music from the 70’s was.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Jan 11 2024

Loud, angry screaming. Not at all something I would listen to. Maybe was a voice for a certain young group of people who needed to be heard.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Jan 12 2024

This is my first exposure to Jack White and am so impressed. Love the variety of styles- swing, jazz, rock, folk. Such talent!

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jan 13 2024

The King of Pop! His music will continue to stand the test of time. Not my favorite MJ album but still love it. Huge fan!

Faust IV by Faust
Jan 15 2024

Sounds like random noise with some German lyrics every now and then. Terrible

The Score by Fugees
Jan 16 2024

Love The Fugees! The OG’s of rap with so much talent. Love the mix of songs on this album including the Bob Marley cover. Appreciate the message and beats.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Jan 17 2024

These ladies voices are the star on this album. Angelic harmonies that complement the slide guitar, mandolin and piano. Pure and soulful. One of the greatest collaborations ever produced in country music.

Boston by Boston
Jan 19 2024

Great 70’s rock and roll band Classic jam.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jan 20 2024

Folksy vibe. Imagine was the song I knew and the most “mainstream “ on the album. It was okay.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jan 22 2024

I’m not a fan of Iron Maiden but appreciate the musical talent in this band. I actually liked the song Running Free and added it to my playlist.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jan 23 2024

Love the music! Especially the low guitar sound. Very talented musicians. The super dark lyrics caused me to knock a few stars off the rating.

Solid Air by John Martyn
Jan 24 2024

Folky, ethereal , trippy 70’s era album that is all over the place. First time listening to this artist. I did save the catchy “Over the Hill” and “May you Never “ to my song list.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jan 25 2024

60’s groovy sound. Really enjoyed Time of the Season for which they are most famous for.

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Jan 26 2024

His first album and first hit “Solsbury Hill” (which is one of my favorites). He was so progressive. All of these songs are unique. They don’t exactly go together but love his voice.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Jan 28 2024

Indy folk vibe that was done in the late 60’s early 70’s. Nothing new. Interesting lyrics.

Locust Abortion Technician by Butthole Surfers
Jan 29 2024

I can appreciate their influence on grunge bands of the 90’s but that’s it.

Arrival by ABBA
Jan 30 2024

Pure joy! ❤️❤️

Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter
Feb 02 2024

My first time listening to this group and I was pleasantly surprised

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Feb 03 2024

One of the greatest bands ever! Love the rasping, soulful sound of the vocals.

Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Feb 04 2024

This is my first time listening to Gillian Welch. Such simple, soothing, soulful music. Keeping true to the roots of Appalachia and bluegrass.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Feb 06 2024

I like Paul McCartney’s solo music better than John Lennon’s. This album was good but not my favorite of his.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Feb 07 2024

Such a pure voice and hauntingly beautiful lyrics that pay tribute to love won and lost and the wisdom gained along the way. This album isn’t the teenage pop songs that put her on the charts but instead a peek into her reflective soul. Grateful for the dark humor of “no body, no crime”. Reminds me of “Earle” by the Dixie Chicks. Pure Taylor Swift.

I’m a Lonesome Fugitive by Merle Haggard
Feb 08 2024

Good old fashion country music for two steppin and drowning your sorrows in a bottle of whiskey. Not the feel good album of the year but classic.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Feb 11 2024

It was okay

Blur by Blur
Feb 12 2024

I had high hopes after hearing the first two songs and then it went downhill. Mundane and depressing

1999 by Prince
Feb 13 2024

It’s Prince! Dance, music, sex, romance. Great music!

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
Feb 15 2024

Lead singers voice was difficult to listen to like a bad version of David Byrne. Same old 70’s British vibe.

Movies by Holger Czukay
Feb 16 2024

I enjoyed the jazzy sounds of Cool in the Pool and the worldly beats of Persian Love. The others were a little too far out for me.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Feb 17 2024
good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Feb 18 2024

First time listening to Kendrick Lamar. It took me a couple of songs to get used to the language but after that I started to really listen to the lyrics and hear the beats. The lyrics are very poetic and powerful. He gives us a glimpse into his reality and isn’t afraid to get raw and real. This is not my typical genre of music that I listen to but by the middle of the album I was enjoying the music. Very talented artist!

Graceland by Paul Simon
Feb 20 2024

Paul Simon has a way with words and rhythms that soothe the soul and brings joy. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this whole album.

Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp
Feb 21 2024

Listening to this album I felt like I was with Billie Eilish in a James Bond movie floating in space with helium balloons entering the Twighlight Zone. The lead singer’s voice is so ethereal. Beautiful orchestration. This album surprised me. I really enjoyed it.

Sincere by Mj Cole
Feb 22 2024

Early days of electronic music. Not as developed as today’s electronic music but wasn’t horrible. I enjoyed most of the songs. I’ve heard worse.

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren
Feb 23 2024

What a strange, trippy musical Journey into Rundgren’s artistic soul. The album starts off really weird and then finally settles down during the later half with more traditional sounds from the 70’s. It was definitely an interesting experience.

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Feb 24 2024

Shock rap with redundant boring beats. Not his best work.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Feb 27 2024
Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Feb 28 2024

This was the album that introduced me to Michael Jackson and listening to it today took me back to my freshman year in high school. There are so many memories attached to this album. Critics will bash it because of its disco vibe but to me it is such fun enjoyable music loved by every teenage girl at that time. It’s a reminder of innocence that has been lost.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Feb 29 2024

Weird spacey trippy music and lyrics- drove me crazy by the end of the album. Sorry but I just don’t get it.

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Mar 01 2024

Billie Holiday’s voice is so unique. It’s so soulful and soothing. ❤️

D by White Denim
Mar 03 2024
Soul Mining by The The
Mar 04 2024

Really enjoyed this album

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Mar 06 2024

Love this man’s voice and music! The songs on this album may not have been as popular as some of his other songs but I love the combination of folk, rock and jazz.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Mar 07 2024
Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Mar 10 2024

Having never heard of this singer , I rather enjoyed this album. Nice 70’s folk vibe.

Street Signs by Ozomatli
Mar 13 2024

First time listening to this group and I like them. But then again, I like any Latin inspired music.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Mar 15 2024

Maybe not their best album but iconic and amazing! They were so ahead of their time. ❤️

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Mar 19 2024

I’m a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac but this album is fragmented just like the band was at the time. Very different vibe from previous album which was so successful.

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Mar 20 2024

Classic 70’s rock and roll jam band. ❤️

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Mar 26 2024

Seriously cool, funky 70’s jazz. Love the vibe!

Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs
Mar 27 2024

Perfect 80’s punk party album. It’s just a lot of fun!

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Mar 28 2024

An average 70’s vibe. Not bad but also not spectacular. I liked it because I like 70’s music but I would never listen to it again.

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Apr 03 2024

I found it very calming with its repetitive sounds and chants. I’m glad I was introduced to this album through this project. I enjoyed it.

Horses by Patti Smith
Apr 05 2024

The title song was the only decent song on the album. Rest of them were painful to listen to.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Apr 06 2024

Sexy, smooth jazz. ❤️❤️

Apr 09 2024

I am not a huge fan of the Beetles but absolutely love this quirky, happy trippy musical journey that they take you on in the album. You just have to sit back and enjoy the show.

May 24 2024

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
May 26 2024

What a breath of fresh air! The angelic voice of Ella paired with Gershwin’s tunes. I loved being transported back to the time when songs about love and life were sweet and charming. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Odessa by Bee Gees
May 30 2024

I was not even aware of this album and it wasn’t “my cup of tea” but kudos to them for trying. I prefer my Bee Gees in disco attire.

The Renaissance by Q-Tip
Jun 23 2024

I would have never even considered listening to this artist but I glad I did because I loved it!

Illmatic by Nas
Jun 25 2024

Sounds like typical rap from the early 90’s. Appreciate the message. Beats just seem to be typical and redundant.

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
Jul 21 2024

So bad!!! Beyond horrible!

Broken English by Marianne Faithfull
Jul 22 2024

Dark and creepy. This is definitely not her best album. Her life choices damaged a once beautiful voice. Very sad.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Aug 03 2024

Ahhhh….when the Beetles were all getting along and the music was great! This has to be one my favorite albums they ever made. Several of their big hits are on this album. ❤️❤️
