Head Hunters
Herbie HancockGroovy and funky.
Groovy and funky.
First time to really listen to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds so not sure what to expect. Enjoyed most of this album.
Fantastic album. A favorite of mine.
Not as familiar with this Queen release. It is nice to give the entire album a spin. Some of the tracks are not my cup of tea. Enjoyable 40 minutes of music for the most part. Tracks I really enjoyed were Killer Queen, Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, and Misfire. Bring Back That Leroy Brown was a fun, throwback sounding track.
Track 1 - dug it Track 2 - decent Track 3 - funky and moving Track 4 - cool vibe and picked up as the tune progressed Track 5 - head bopper and head shaker Track 6 - killer track - simply slays Track 7 - little different with the kazoo/fart sounds - still a head bopper
Absolutely brilliant album from start to finish. Beautiful moving music. Gilmour's guitar work simply incredible. Lyrically poignant.
Only really listened to Talking Heads greatest hits previously. Track 1 - cool guitar work Track 2 - enjoyed Track 3 - bass and drum work very cool Track 4 - great tune, always think about the video of this song as that is how I was originally exposed to the song and the Talking Heads. Very memorable. Track 5 - a lot going on in this tune. did not really resonate with me. Track 6 - different tune. another that I don't really have an opinion on. did not move me. Track 7 - another tune that did not resonate with me Track 8 - very dark feeling tune. could see it being used in a movie to set the tone.
I was not moved until "U Got The Look." This album did not move me.
Incredible album. So many memories from when this album came out in 1987. To me this album is a must listen. Only the last track is a little disappointing when compared to the rest of the album to me.
First listen to this entire album. Was only familiar with "Shake It Off" which is an enjoyable tune. Leading up to that track, I was not moved much by any of the first five tunes. "Blank Space" was okay. After "Shake It Off" not much moved me. Sounds like computer generated music. The album simply did not move me. I do not believe I will listen to this again. Just not my cup of tea. That is what is great about music, there is something for everyone. This is not for me.
Groovy and funky.
Track 1 - enjoyed guitar work. Track 2 - cold, dreary day music. Track 3 - great guitar work. not necessarily fan of vocals. enjoyed music. Track 4 - did not really move me. Track 5 - music is good. Track 6 - a little more lively with the guitar. beautiful music. Track 7 - enjoyed the music. not a big fan of vocals. Track 8 - music more upbeat. just not a fan of vocals. Track 9 - enjoyed this track. Track 10 - nice, mellow track. enjoyed the piano.
First complete listen to this album. Enjoyed the music. Not a fan of most of the vocals - some too twangy. Pretty Boy Floyd was quite enjoyable. Overall an OK album but I do not hear the hype for this album.
I have enjoyed this album in the past. A nice refresher as it is part of my collection. Very beautiful and moved me. Always fun to hear music/vocals from other cultures as it helps us expand our horizons. Very enjoyable listen for me.
Very enjoyable listen. I dig it. Will listen to this again in the future.
Music was enjoyable. Not a fan of the vocals. Not my cup of tea.
Decent album. Enjoyed the music. Some of the vocals were not enjoyable.
I did not enjoy this album.
Ok listen. Not really my thing.
Not something I would normally listen to but found it very enjoyable. Will probably try to find a physical copy of this to add to my library.
I remember when this album came out. I was in college and it was a huge release. One of the most commercial Metallica albums. I really enjoy this album.
I remember when this came out. A couple of good tunes on it. Not really my thing. Ok for some background music.
Enjoyable listen. Waterfalls brings back a lot of memories. For me, not something I will revisit too often.
Never really listened to Slayer before. Liked the music but not a huge fan of the vocals. Do not believe I will listen to this again.
Enjoyed Sunshine Superman, Season Of The Witch, and The Trip. Rest of the album was forgettable to me. Not my thing. Greatest Hits compilations are great for an artist like Donovan for people like me.
Never listened to LCD Soundsystem before. I figured it would be some type of dance music. Not terribly wrong. Not really my thing. Not bad, not great. I admit about halfway through the album I was ready for it to be over. Seemed a little repetitive. This is not something I think I will be revisiting in the future.
Never listened to Frank Black before other than his stuff with The Pixies. It was listenable. Halfway through and I have not really been moved by the music. Music was decent enough just did not move me.
Only familiar with one track on this album. Enjoyed Gossip Folks. Enjoyed Work It. It was an interesting listen for me. It was an okay album. Not really my thing.
First time to really listen to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds so not sure what to expect. Enjoyed most of this album.
Great album. Released when I was in high school. this album was huge and a great tour. Very enjoyable listen.
First time to listen to The Germs. At first I thought this was horrible but as I continued to listen, the music is pretty good. The vocals are not my thing for sure. The vocals make it very difficult to enjoy for me. It grew on me as I listened.
Been a minute since I have listened to this album from start to finish. This was enjoyable. Great Texas blues rock. Very enjoyable album. Great trio of musicians making some music. Band is great live as well.
Good album.
I love the Dead so I enjoyed this very much. Not necessarily a fan of everything by the Dead. Great way for me to start my day. Sit back and relax.
Before listening to this album, I was only familiar with "Virtual Insanity" song. Definitely has 1970s sound and vibe. It was quite an enjoyable listen. Nice throwback.
I had never listened to this album start to finish. I found it an enjoyable listen.
It was raining hard when I listened to this album and it was appropriate. I enjoyed this album. Nothing really stood out to me.
First time listening to the entire album. It was a decent listen. I have seen Jack White live and was not overly impressed so I had low expectations to some extent. I do not see how this is on the 1001 album list.
Not my cup of tea. This was boring and very repetitive. Too long. At 30 minutes in I wanted to simply stop but pushed through. Musicianship and production were pretty solid.
Song 2 is all you need.
First listen to this album from start to finish. Mostly familiar with the hits of this band. I dug it. This is in my lane. Enjoyable listen.
Interesting listen. Definitely not for everyone. I have now listened to it. Will I listen to it again? Not sure about that. Definitely an interesting and intriguing listen.
First time listening to this album. Ok music. Did not seem like it was anything special.
Music was pretty good. Not a big fan of the vocals but it was mostly listenable. I would not put this in my main vein of listening.
Never listened to this album before today. At some point Springsteen's music just did not move me like it once did. This was an okay listen. Nothing really stood out to me.
Music was enjoyable. Not a fan of the vocals at all. Very surprised this would be in the 1001.
I dig it.
Not my thing. Listenable but not moving to me. My life is not any better that I have now listened to this album. Beyond me how this is a must listen before you die.
First time listen. Quirky. Some cool music. Not sure I would listen to this again on purpose.
I dig it.
I enjoyed this album. 1st full listen to the album as well. I dig it.
Enjoyable listen. Nothing earth shattering though.
Good listen.
Simply an enjoyable listen. Good stuff.
Very enjoyable listen. Never listened before. I would listen to this album again but nothing earth shattering.
Not fan of the vocals. Music is okay. This is just not my thing and the music does not move me. Based on reviews I will still get more Nick Drake unfortunately. I do not understand how this lands in the 1001 Albums.
Good listen.. Good album.
Not really my thing.
Good, experimental music at the time it came out. Not a fan of all the vocals. Some great moments on this album.
Enjoyable listen. Nothing earth-shattering though.
Good listen. "Welfare Mothers" and "Sedan Delivery" are my favorite tunes from the album.
First listen to Wilco. Very enjoyable listen.
Great album. No sophomore slump with this album. Classic.
Fantastic album. A favorite of mine.
Solid album.
Significant. A favorite of mine. I get some not digging it.
I remember when this came out - senior year in college. Some good tunes. Songs all sound very similar, so not much character to me. I am not sure I would have included this on the 1001 albums you must listen to before you die.
Good listen.
Pretty decent listen. Not sure I hear the hype but a decent listen.
Did not move me.
Love this album. Great listen. Beautiful music. Well recorded.
It was okay. Not really my thing. Nice there was actual instruments and not just all beats. Not sure I would have added to the 1001 list though.
First time listener to this album and band. Decent listen. Nothing really moved me while listening. Not a big fan of the vocals. I am not sure how this is on the 1001 list.
Ok listen. Very raw which I enjoyed.
Love it.
New to me. Ok listen. Not something that really moves me. It was a decent listen.
First listen. Not a fan of the vocals but enjoyed the music.
This was a very enjoyable listen. Some really great music on this album.
Surprised this was on the list. Cool album art. Not my favorite listen.
