American Gothic
David AcklesKinda a weird album for 1972, in some ways feels more 50s- show tunes meets Pete Seeger kinda story telling. It’s a shame as on paper it’s the sort of thing I should like but it’s rubbing me up the wrong way.

Yeah, I liked that. It was very 60s but very gentle and nice, reminded me of Simon and Garfunkel. I dunno if I would listen to much more of them but it was a nice album. "Helplessly Hoping" I liked and it reminded me of the Byrds a bit (not too sure why) and then I looked it up and of course Crosby was in the Byrds. Songs I knew: Everybody's Talking
I dunno, I didn't find this offensive but also not all that interesting. Quite twee and I felt unremarkable I doubt I would remember any particular songs from this. The piano was nice.
I quite liked this. It was pretty fun. Not the most interesting, a lot of the songs sounded quite samey. I liked the first few tracks but it got a little dull as the album went on.
This evokes a fair amount of nostalgia- this album was big when I first went to uni in Summer 2005. While I never listed to the album myself it was impossible to escape many of these songs at the time and a lot of my friends from school were really into FF. I do like the sound overall, many of the tracks have an exciting driving tempo to the guitar. The production seems a bit thin- I dunno what I really mean by that and not sure I could describe it but just a feeling I get that there's a lack of some depth.
Really liked this. Would listen to again and her other stuff. Last track reminded me of Kate Bush a bit.
Fucking load of shite
Nice to hear some of MJs less well known songs. I enjoyed PYT and the paul mc cartney duet along with all of the bangers.
I quite enjoyed it. Not amazing but would probably listen to again
Great. Fun & playful. Loved it
Bit hit and miss. Mostly bangers but a number of weaker songs bring it down a bit. Love this era of the Beatles but this album I don't think shows off their best work
Boring l, mysoginist crap
Pop punk nostalgia! Love it. Great base and drums
Boring
Autumn days are not built for Reggae.
Pretty middle of the road, fun but a touch dull

Yawn
Mostly filler. A lot of pretty unmemorable songs
not my favourite billy but OK.
I really liked it! It was a bit long but it was pretty fun I thought
