Incredible! This music brings me so much joy. Perfect for listening, reading, cooking. This is a classic album that will stay in my rotation forever. Wonderful!

The Wall by Pink Floyd

Love Pink Floyd. Do not love this album.

A Seat at the Table by Solange

Her voice is beautiful however every song sounds basically the same. Booooooooooring.

I Should Coco by Supergrass

Pretty good! I actually knew one of the songs. Nice little grungy album.

1-Star Albums (30)

All Ratings (213)

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Oct 21 2025

Not my style. It became extremely repetitive and no one song really stood out to me.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Oct 22 2025

Honestly enjoyed it more than I thought that I would. Some pretty symphonic melodies. Not sure if it could become a go to band but I was pleasantly surprised.

The Bends by Radiohead
Oct 23 2025

Amazing! I've been listening to this album for 20+ years and it never gets old. Thom Yorke's voice is incredible and the band is so in tune with each other. Truly a classic album.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Oct 24 2025

This was great! I've definitely listened to Steely Dan before but I don't think I've ever sat down and listened to the whole album. Lovely way to start my morning.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Oct 27 2025

BORING! I was so excited when I saw it was a Fleetwood Mac album but I couldn't even finish it. 20 songs with no flow or structure. This album felt like a cocaine fever dream. Would not give it another listen. Very disappointed.

Buena Vista Social Club by Buena Vista Social Club
Oct 28 2025

Incredible! This music brings me so much joy. Perfect for listening, reading, cooking. This is a classic album that will stay in my rotation forever. Wonderful!

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Oct 29 2025

I had never heard of this band/album before so therefore had no idea what to expect... I enjoyed it. A strange, eclectic fusion of reggae, indie, grunge, experimental, rock. I could definitely feel the African influences coming through. I would listen to this again. Very interesting.

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Oct 30 2025

So far a little heavier than I prefer these days. Not my style.

Cupid & Psyche 85 by Scritti Politti
Oct 31 2025

First impressions: Higher pitched male lead voice leaning heavily onto the 80's soft pop/rock with experimental "electronic" components. After finishing the album I think it is just-- meh. Not terrible per say but not one particular song stood out to me. Felt like background music.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Nov 03 2025

Fun! Listened on Halloween as well so that was cool. Not my favorite but I can appreciate for what it is. Classic.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Nov 07 2025

Mixed review. Some songs were fun. First half of the album was pretty decent. Then it started to meander and was too long. Sort of lost its train.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Nov 10 2025

Nostalgic and fun. Probably wouldn't listen to the album all the way through on the regular but it was a fun throw back.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Nov 11 2025

Love Pink Floyd. Do not love this album.

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Nov 12 2025

I enjoyed! Would listen to his other albums and more Smiths.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Nov 13 2025

Great!! Always love some Neil Young! Great album, will need to add it to the rotation.

A Walk Across The Rooftops by The Blue Nile
Nov 14 2025

Sooooooo slooooooooooow. There is potential there but its so slow that I'm struggling to actively listen.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Nov 17 2025

Wanted to love it but just couldn't get into the talky type singing. She does have a beautiful, powerful voice but I didn't like this style.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Nov 18 2025

Just okay. Pretty boring and unmemorable. How do some of these albums make the cut?!

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Nov 19 2025

Fine. It was fine.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Nov 20 2025

Pretty fun! Recognized the second song on this album.

Night Life by Ray Price
Nov 21 2025

Lovely! Classic. A wonderful album. Would be great for cooking to or a dinner party.

Synchronicity by The Police
Nov 24 2025

Honestly liked it better than I thought I would. Edgier than some of their later stuff. A bit all over the place.

The Clash by The Clash
Nov 25 2025

Fun enough. Not my style.

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Nov 27 2025

I think I've learned that John Coltrane is not my favorite jazz artist.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Dec 01 2025

I know people love Kendrick Lamar and there were some songs on here that I did like but I don't think this one is for me.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Dec 02 2025

Gah-- I'm just not hip enough anymore. I didn't find much enjoyment from this album except that it was "fun". Ehhhhhhh......

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices
Dec 03 2025

Awesome! Wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did! Reminds me of a little grungier Neutral Milk Hotel. Will definitely check out more from them!

Unhalfbricking by Fairport Convention
Dec 04 2025

Liked! First half was a little slow but the second half was very nice!

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Dec 05 2025

Did not finish. Aimee obviously has a nice voice and the album is fiiiiiiiine... but not for me. I was about 5 songs in and I realized nothing had stuck out to me at all. Sometimes you just have to give a skip.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Dec 08 2025

Iconic! This album is always a winner. One of those super special musical moments captured for us to enjoy.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Dec 09 2025

Was good for about an hour. Could do without the commentary between songs though I'm sure some love that. At times it was a little screachy. Ehhh.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Dec 10 2025

I'm too much of a millennial to truly appreciate this album. Haha! My favorite song had Andre 3000 on it so I know that it's true. I can appreciate it for what it is but leans a little heavy on the Gen Z for me.

New Wave by The Auteurs
Dec 11 2025

Enjoyed! Not exactly the most memorable album that I've ever listened to but I found it enjoyable. Would give it another listen for sure.

GREY Area by Little Simz
Dec 12 2025

DNF. After about the 50th time I heard the n-word in two songs I knew I was done.

Kid A by Radiohead
Dec 15 2025

Amazing! Hasn’t ever been my favorite Radiohead album but still musical genius.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Dec 16 2025

Good background music! I would have a hard time sitting down to actively listen to this album but it was nice in the background.

System Of A Down by System Of A Down
Dec 17 2025

Intense! I appreciate it for the power and energy they bring to this album but at this stage in my life I don't feel like this music suits me.

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Dec 19 2025

Wonderful! Was exactly the album I needed after being up with a sick kid all night. Love ya, Stevie!

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Dec 22 2025

Norah has such a lovely voice. While some of the album ran into each other I still found it pleasant. I had never heard track 9: I've got to see you again and I really loved it. I probably wouldn't put this in my regular rotation but I appreciate it.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Dec 23 2025

Exceptional! Love this super group. They really bring out something so special musically in this album. This one stays in rotation.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Dec 25 2025

Love a bunch of these songs but some are a bit repetitive.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 29 2025

Great!

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Dec 31 2025

Good, not great. I really like QotSA but this album was pretty repetitive. There were some good ones but overall it all blended into each other. I think that they just didn't quite have their groove going yet.

Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson
Jan 01 2026

DNF. I can't handle this overly produced pop music on a first day back of work after the holidays. Felt so out of place and out of touch.

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
Jan 02 2026

Wanted to love this album because I like The Beta Band but it was wayyyyyy too mellow for me.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Jan 05 2026

Awesome! Loved it all!

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Jan 06 2026

Fine. Dylan gets so repetitive. At least his voice wasn't destroyed by cigs at this point.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jan 07 2026

Good. Only one song really stood out to me. Classic Rolling Stones early stuff. I like it better than their later albums because it holds true to their blues-rock background.

Rocks by Aerosmith
Jan 08 2026

I've never been a huge Aerosmith fan but I will say for this being only 35 minutes it was pretty decent! Still not my style but I wouldn't be mad to hear it again. Steven Tyler's vocals do rock.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 09 2026

Decent enough background music. Gave me The Doors vibes at times. Wasn't bad but certainly wasn't memorable.

Hotel California by Eagles
Jan 12 2026

Honestly enjoyed more than I thought. My Dad loved the Eagles and classic rock in general and I was constantly quizzed on it as a kid, hah! Since then I've always sort of avoided the Eagles but I was pleasantly surprised by this album. Will I add it to my regular listening rotation? No. Do I appreciate it a bit more now? Yes.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Jan 13 2026

Just can't handle 80's metal these days. I appreciate that it was ground breaking for it's time but it does not serve me at all.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Jan 14 2026

Her voice is beautiful however every song sounds basically the same. Booooooooooring.

Blur by Blur
Jan 15 2026

Pretty good. Not as polished as I would like coming from Blur but it was pretty good.

Jan 16 2026

Excellent! I don't love all Bob Dylan but this is classic. Track 3, Masters of War feels all too relevant in 2026.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Jan 19 2026

Dullllllllllllllll. While he may be an amazing song writer he is not an amazing singer. He managed the exact same tone for each song, impressive honestly.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 20 2026

So fun! Loved it. Very quintessential Americana.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Jan 21 2026

Decent enough background music while working. A little too sloppy and "artistic" for my taste to listen to in regular rotation. As so many of these albums they tend to all sound the same after awhile. Ehhh.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Jan 23 2026

So good! How have I never heard this album? I was really impressed and will be adding this to my rotation.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Jan 26 2026

I normally love some Stevie but this was too "soft" for me. They all pretty much sounded alike. Not for me.

Wild Gift by X
Jan 28 2026

Just don't like punk anymore. My 30's killed any punk I might have liked at some point which was never a lot. Ha! Love the album cover though.

Slayed? by Slade
Jan 29 2026

They wanted to be AC/DC and somehow were worse. Boo.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Jan 30 2026

Classic. Not my style anymore but it is a classic.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Feb 02 2026

I love the White Stripes but this album did not do it for me.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Feb 03 2026

Some vintage chill music! I really like Nick Drake. Some of it is a bit monotonous but I really like his vibe. Shame he passed on so soon, would have liked to see how he evolved.

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Feb 05 2026

Decent background music. I appreciate his style but I was left wanting with this album.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Feb 06 2026

Liked!! Super chill and very interesting. I'll be checking out more Massive Attack.

Odelay by Beck
Feb 10 2026

Awesome! Sometimes Beck strikes me as pretentious which turns me off listening to his music. This album is gold though.

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Feb 11 2026

Interesting! I enjoyed this. It was great background music for work and I feel like it would be great for a cocktail party. Very fun.

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Feb 12 2026

I just cannot get into live albums. I would always rather listen to the studio version unless I get to be in the live audience.

Ingenue by k.d. lang
Feb 13 2026

Lovely voice. Terribly boring album. Shadowlands was better in my opinion.

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Feb 16 2026

Classic. Incredible album. So relevant in today's wild times.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Feb 17 2026

Very fun! It was a good way to start a not so great Monday.

Feb 18 2026

She sounds like she wants to be Carol King but is so off key it's painful. I found this to be an unpleasant listen.

S&M by Metallica
Feb 20 2026

Better than I expected.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Feb 24 2026

Loved the bangers but forgot how heavy this album is. Still great but maybe too heavy for everyday listening for me.

Da Capo by Love
Feb 25 2026

Honestly unmemorable. I didn't write notes yesterday about this album and now nothing sticks out. Not a great sign but also not so terrible that I remember that either. Meh.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Feb 26 2026

Excellent. A gem of an album.

Abraxas by Santana
Feb 27 2026

So groovy. So chill. Santana rocks.

The Yes Album by Yes
Mar 03 2026

So good! Granted that this isn't my true music style but this is album is so nostalgic of my childhood and of my classic rock loving Father. Very fun.

Kimono My House by Sparks
Mar 04 2026

Weird. Odd. Kind of okay for the first couple songs then complete chaotic noise.

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Mar 05 2026

Lovely, easy listening. Astrud has a great voice. This album is mellow and would be great for hanging outside or for cooking dinner.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Mar 06 2026

Loved it! Understated grungey vibes in the best way possible.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Mar 11 2026

Would be fun in the right environment, sitting at work was not that place.

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
Mar 12 2026

Supa Dupa Chill! I enjoyed this a lot.

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Mar 13 2026

Very interesting! I wasn't sure what I was going to think about this one but it exceeded expectations.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Mar 16 2026

Good! I really enjoyed this one.

Soul Mining by The The
Mar 18 2026

Interesting. Hip. Got a bit repetitive but overall I thought it was a fun listen in the background while I worked.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Mar 23 2026

Loved it! Really fun and interesting to listen to.

Is This It by The Strokes
Mar 24 2026

Good album but got a bit repetitive over time. Still classic 2000's indie rock.

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Mar 26 2026

Better than expected. I liked the Aladdin song.

Drunk by Thundercat
Mar 27 2026

It was fine but super repetitive and I was never drawn into the album.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Mar 30 2026

Silly. Snoop is fun. This was fine.

Harvest by Neil Young
Mar 31 2026

One of my all times faves. Top 20 for sure.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Apr 01 2026

I really like some of the songs, some of them just get repetitive. I like Elvis Costello but I don't love Elvis Costello.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Apr 08 2026

What in the heck did I just listen to? Looking at the album cover I immediately deduced avante garde but holy moly. Parts of it were.... interesting... but overall just didn't hit it for me.

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Apr 09 2026

Meh.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 13 2026

Boo. This kind of crap music is the worst. 2 thumbs down. Would give zero stars if I could.

Konnichiwa by Skepta
Apr 15 2026

Gross. Gratuitous use of the N word is just not my thing.

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Apr 16 2026

Good but not ultra memorable. Gave me the Cure vibes meets Depeche Mode but darker. Would potentially give it another listen.

All Directions by The Temptations
Apr 17 2026

Great! I really loved the long, extended funky Papa Was a Rolling Stone. Gold!

Apr 20 2026

Awesome! Long but great. Realized I like The Love Below better than Speakerboxxx but the whole thing is great. Andre really is a musical genius!

Apr 21 2026

Really fun! Brings back memories of a summer spent bartending in Yellowstone National Park. I always wonder why I don't put this in a more regular part of my rotation, maybe I finally will.

Electric by The Cult
Apr 22 2026

Hair metal may be for some but not for me.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Apr 24 2026

I recognized more songs than I thought and some of it was lovely but almost 3 hours?!?! Way too much.

Apr 28 2026

Pretty good. A little generic for my taste but I still enjoyed.

Take Me Apart by Kelela
Apr 29 2026

Boring. That album cover though... ooooh la la. Ha!

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
May 04 2026

I somehow had never heard of Joan Armatrading before but I really enjoyed this album. She has an incredible voice and the beats were funky. Sleeper for the win!

Parallel Lines by Blondie
May 05 2026

It's fine. It's a me problem, not a Blondie problem. Not my style.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
May 06 2026

Turned it off at Disco II Disco. I thought my overstimulated brain would explode.

1977 by Ash
May 07 2026

Sleeper for the win! Despite loving 90s grunge I had never heard of this band or album before. While it was a -bit- generic I still overall enjoyed it!

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
May 08 2026

1st song was terrible! It got better after that.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
May 12 2026

I enjoyed this very much. I was familiar with a few songs but overall this was lovely.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
May 13 2026

Incredible. One of my favorite Beatles albums. In My Life is pure art. I listen to this album nearly monthly.

Dust by Screaming Trees
May 14 2026

Not too shabby. Very 90s, which I love. Sometimes I got Pearl Jam vibes, other times Alice in Chains. While I liked it and certain songs I feel like they struggled to find exactly their sound.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
May 15 2026

Fun orchestral rock. Not my favorite but was still a good listen in the background while I worked.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
May 18 2026

Legendary album. A classic for a reason.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
May 19 2026

This album is great! My husband told me this was released after her death. What a sad waste of a life and an incredible talent.

Celebrity Skin by Hole
May 20 2026

Honestly enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would.

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
May 21 2026

Good background music. Not my favorite Gaye album.

Eagles by Eagles
May 22 2026

I honestly enjoyed this more than I thought that I would. I knew it would be nostalgic because my late, beloved Dad was a huge fan of Dad/Classic rock including the Eagles. I had never heard the song, Train Leaves Here This Morning, and I thought it was really sweet. I'm under no illusion that the Eagles are some amazingly complex musicians but this album is better than a lot of the absolute trash that made it onto this list, haha! PS- everyone already made The Big Lebowski quote joke, try harder.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
May 25 2026

Boooo. I know some people love Linkin Park. That person is not me.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
May 26 2026

I really enjoy Nick Drake. So tragic to have lost this great talent so soon.

May 27 2026

I tried, I really tried. Her voice sounds exactly the same in every song. Couldn't get into it.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
May 28 2026

It was good. Nothing ultra memorable but I liked it.

Traffic by Traffic
May 29 2026

The fact that I can barely remember anything of this album the day after doesn't bode well.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Jun 03 2026

I really like this one! Super bluesy and soulful. Great way to start my work day.

Jun 04 2026

Holy Heck! How have I never heard of The Zutons? I sincerely enjoyed this fun album! I love Indie from the 2000's and this just hit in all the right ways but was new for me. Great great great! Entering into rotation for sure.

1999 by Prince
Jun 08 2026

I've come to learn something about myself and that is that I do not enjoy Prince. I appreciate and respect Prince, I can see why people love him. I just don't love the style.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Jun 10 2026

Separating the art from the artist this album is obviously gold. As for MJ himself.... ick.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jun 12 2026

It's not as dynamic as Back to Black but still excellent. RIP Amy.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Jun 15 2026

Excellent!

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Jun 17 2026

I could not get into the guys voice.

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Jun 19 2026

Somehow The Vines have slipped through my listening adventures over the years but I truly enjoyed this listen! I won't say my mind was blown but it was solid!

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Jun 23 2026

Honestly this was exactly what I need to start Monday off. Some catchy songs I knew, some inoffensive background for the songs I didn't know. It doesn't blow my mind but its still better than so many albums on here.

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Jun 24 2026

Disappointed that I found this one boring. The last Sly & The Family Stone I had was great but this one just faded into the background.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Jun 25 2026

Blah- not my thing. Christina can belt it out certainly, but not in a way that I enjoy.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jun 26 2026

This would have been a better listen if I was at a party instead of answering emails at 9 am 🤣

C'est Chic by CHIC
Jun 29 2026

Good background music.

The Cars by The Cars
Jun 30 2026

So much fun! Honestly a great way to start a Monday after a long weekend.

More Specials by The Specials
Jul 01 2026

Pretty fun! Would give it another listen!

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jul 02 2026

Classic. Really enjoyed.

B-52's by The B-52's
Jul 03 2026

Decent background music at work. Would be fun at a party. Would not add it to my regular rotation.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jul 06 2026

Pretty good! I actually knew one of the songs. Nice little grungy album.

Marquee Moon by Television
Jul 07 2026

It was decent but sounded so much like the band before that I had trouble differentiating.

Nixon by Lambchop
Jul 08 2026

Ehhhhhh

Aja by Steely Dan
Jul 09 2026

Great! Love Steely Dan. I get that some people think it's "boring" but I disagree. I think it's lovely.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Jul 10 2026

The 20 something year old version of me would be sad that I just don't enjoy listening to the Beastie Boys anymore. Alas, what can you do? I respect their work but I don't want to listen to it.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jul 13 2026

Liked! Super chillin and great vibes.

Heroes by David Bowie
Jul 14 2026

Excellent. Classic Bowie.

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Jul 15 2026

Bleh. Maybe if I'd seen Shaft before I would care more but I haven't so I didn't. Soundtrack without context is not my cup of tea.

Close To You by Carpenters
Jul 16 2026

A little boring with the covers but still enjoyable.

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Jul 17 2026

Wow. Just wow. Didn't realize I could hate an album so much. Wish I could give 0 stars. I'm not even a singer and I'm pretty sure I could make my voice sound better than this. Also found out she is a far right racist. Double no.

Smash by The Offspring
Jul 20 2026

Honestly enjoyed a lot more than I thought that I would.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jul 21 2026

Very good. Interesting to hear crowd reaction when the crowd is prisoners. Cash is great.

Jul 22 2026

Great!! It always makes me chuckle that for brothers who make such amazing music together they really can't stand each other. Such a great album though.

Jul 23 2026

Yes, I know Honky Tonk is in the name of the album but hot damn! That is a lot of Honky Tonk.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jul 27 2026

Great! Also very good Friday Hype Music for work.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jul 28 2026

I was fearful when I saw the 2 hour run time. Still too long for the average listen but I will say I did enjoy what I heard.

Good! Still pretty early on in the Beatles timeline but still decent. Was surprised by the number of covers. Still an enjoyable listen.

He is very talented. I enjoyed it more when I was in my late teens/early 20s but I still respect it.

BORING. Every song sounded basically the same. She obviously has a great voice but needs a better song writer.

Moondance by Van Morrison

Lovely. Get's a bit repetitive towards the end but overall just solid nostalgic music.

Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds

Fan-fucking-tastic! I discovered Portishead in highschool and now in my late 30s it is still in my regular rotation.
