Some lovely songs, very nostalgic. America is top song for me on this album. Prefer “Bridge Over Troubled Water”
Good strum, but reggae all starts to sounds the same.
Enjoyed several tracks, including 101 FM. Some were far outside my music preference.
Groovy! Great work music.
Exceptional. It’s Prince.
Very French. Pleasant to listen to while working.
Surprisingly decent. If partially stars were available I’d give it 3.25 stars.
I’m sure they’re great. Not my jam.
Really great. Will listen again.
Nostalgic sounding. Some of the keyboards reminded me of p/g keyboards.
A really interesting and entertaining album. I won’t likely listen again, but glad to have had the experience.
Very enjoyable. Reminds me that g grandma Linwood.
This was interesting musically, but I did not enjoy much of the vocals and or the extensive discordance.
Vocals remind me of Prince.
I really tried to like this album when it was first released. Tried to listen with objective, fresh ears today. Still don’t like it.
This was a really interesting listen and great for work time. I will definitely listen again.
I enjoyed this one. It’s a bop.
This sounds more like early ought music, like The Shins. Maybe they were ahead of their time. I’d listen again.
Reminiscent of They might be giants.
Really good! Would listen again! Nostalgic new wave.
Meh. He’s got a good voice, but this is not my jam, even if it’s nostalgic.
Vocals are a mix of Bob Dylan, Nick Drake with a dash of Eddie Vedder. Good.
Groovy! Super enjoyable listen.
He’s a legend for a reason.
Lovely Steely Dan singer and vibes.
So good. The whole album.
Very interesting. Kept waiting for the Kill Bill song but that must be on a different album. Yes to a relisten.
A nice boppy listen. Good for work since it is French.
Definitely on the re-listen list. How did I miss out on Wilco in the 90’s?
Could not find this exact album. Listened to a 2002 album: A Christmas Gift For You - A Tribute to Phil Spector.
A nice old timey holiday option.
The best thing for me about this album is that the longest song is 1 min 35 seconds. I like some punk, but this is not it. No thank you.
Mali guitarist. Enjoyable groove. Good for work listening.
Excellent. I’ve enjoyed their more popular songs - most of the songs on the album are equally enjoyable.
Groovy! Worth a re-listen!
Holy cow this was unexpected. I’ve never listened to Alice Cooper beyond what was played on the radio. Why was School’s Out released as the single when pretty much every other song on this album is better?
I see why this album is well regarded. Not my preferred kind of music, but it was enjoyable.
There are some impressive covers even beyond Hurt, like Bridge Over Troubled Water & Personal Jesus. Impressive last effort from the Man In Black.
This is what I want when I listen to Portishead. Very groovy. Vocals remind me of Cowboy Junkies on several tracks AND Billy Miles.
Super interesting listen. Quite a variety of sounds. Worth a revisit.
Electronic isn’t usually my thing, but this is worth another listen.
Really enjoyable. I guess I like Cuban music! Will listen again.
Running up that hill is so nostalgic and Stranger things. Hello Earth is haunting.
Vocals very Susanne Vega like at times. Of course, Amie Manns voice on Time Stands Still pre-disposed me to like this. I like.
This album deserves a closer listen than I was able to give it this time. Really interesting and quite diverse musically.
I get why this is a great album. It probably warrants closer and repeated listens but the music is a bit too hard for me.
Wow. This was great. Love a lady rocker. Didn’t love Voodoo Dolly, but the whole album is worth additional attention.
Extreme 80’s vibe. I hear a bit of “They Might Be Giants” in the some vocals. I like the jazzy bits.
You can’t go wrong with the Grategul Dead. A solid listening experience.
I’ve always enjoyed the popular songs by The Offspring. Listening to this album led me to listen to several other albums in their catalog. Turns out, I’m a fan!
Very nostalgic sounding. Several interesting covers of 50’s songs. Can definitely hear Beatles and Rolling Stones influences in several songs, though vocals are unique. Worth another listen.
Certainly heard some Beatles influence in some of the vocals (eg Digsy’s Diner). Thoroughly enjoyable listen.
I know how loved this group is by the millennials, and I have tried several times to appreciate them. And while there are some instrumental passages that are truly gorgeous, the vocals ruin it for me every time. Kudos for their made up song language, I guess, but I will leave Sigur Ros to the youngers.
This was great. I loved the funky variety of sounds. Worth a relisten for sure.
This was perfectly fine and though not my preferred genre, easy to listen to.
Blast from the past. Enjoyable listen, though not my preferred genre, so musically many songs sounded the same to my untrained ears. These guys helped initiated an entire music genre, so props to them.
They have a fairly stereotypical punk sound, and I generally like punk unless it’s super hard. Overall this was decent. Glad I listened to it, don’t know if I’ll go back to them, though.
I enjoyed this quite a bit. Nod to Freebird in “Bombin’ the L” was much appreciated. And is that the beginning of the famous Deep Purple riff in there too? The guitar in “I Can’t Get With That” is killer. Definitely mixing genres on some tracks. Worth some additional listening time!
Clearly excellent musicians, but my ear is not trained for Jazz. This deserves more careful attention while listening than I was able to give it today. Will revisit when I can attend more closely.
Only one track was available in my music app. Not my particular jam.
There were some high points. The vocals are reminiscent of Christie Hynde, which I like. But then there is the song featuring the singer from Radiohead. Low point.
All the CCR hits! Perfectly enjoyable nostalgia.
Definitely requires multiple listens.
Really nice sound. Soothing vocals. Relistenable.
The title track is lovely. I’ve warmed up to Neil Young’s voice over the years. This album is a beautiful spotlight on his talent.
I do really like a lot of Beck’s work. Overall this is a very moody album, so I have to be in the correct head space to get the most out of it.
Worth a re-listen for sure. Funky R&B Soul goodness.
An excellent album. Jack White is insanely talented.
Creative, unique sound. Does not feel like it is from the 1970’s.
Kind of folky, Irish-y at times. Not my vibe, but some of it is catchy.
Very nice. Some absolutely incredible tracks and some mediocre ones.
Some of the vocals are very Bowie-esque. What’s not to like?
Perfectly enjoyable listen.
Such a fun, boppy, concept album. Love.
I like some folk music. This was not my cup of tea.
Quite a dark album for Nirvanas final work. It probably earns a star for the fact that it is their last, because some of the songs are hard to listen to, and the whole thing feels bleak.
Please no more Radiohead. I tried. I really tried.
Listening to this first album feels uninspired from the perspective of 2026; like every other 80’s heavy metal album. But Iron Maiden were trend setters, and it was the other bands who followed behind mimicking their sound.
Electronic music is not usually something I enjoy, and though I won’t likely ever listen to this again, it was definitely energizing and more enjoyable than I anticipated.
Classic Neil Young. Good.
Meh. I’m not a fan of electronic music. I can see why someone who does like electronic music would like this. It is very high energy.
Love me some Ozzy vocals.
A truly interesting album. Warren’s additional listens.
Super interesting listen. Worth a deeper dive.
Not my cuppa. It’s the vocals that I mostly don’t care for.
I don’t like country music, but I’ll make an exception for Willie Nelson.
Wow. I’m surprised how bad this is. Tainted Love is iconic, and I will always love that song and the nostalgia that it invokes. I also really enjoy 80’s music, but this is just… not good.
Way toooo country. No thank you.
I really enjoyed this one. Such a great variety of music, some with an old - timey vibe and some felt more modern. Will listen again!
Great from too top to bottom.
There are a couple of decent songs outside of Bitter Sweet Symphony, but I was disappointed overall.
Thoroughly enjoyable with some classic song-along.
This was excellent. Offspring crossed with the Beatles. Musically and vocally excellent.
The vocals are very Dillonesque, but I prefer Dillon. This was a bit too folksy-treacle for me.
Iconic ‘80’s. A fun, nostalgic listen. I’m fine waiting another 20 years before I listen to it again.
Every song is a bop. Love this one.
Just not a fan of electronics.
I made it through. Barely. I understand that I am not the intended demographic for this music. I can appreciate the anger (this is the mood of my inner dialogue from the hell-scape that is the U. S. In 2026), and there are moments where the vocals are down-right melodic (Linkin Park - like, even). But those moments are too few and far between for my liking.
Those vocals. Dayum. Of course I was familiar with Sex on Fire and Use Somebody, but the whole album was excellent, and now I’m obligated to go through their whole catalog.
It’s just an exceptional album.
Every track is great. What a voice.
Why have I never noticed the similarity b/w Def Leppard and AC/DC vocals? High school nostalgia, but I don’t need to revisit this one too often.
Auto 4-star rating. Holy cow.
Meh. I generally like punk (some, not all) this seemed uninspired.
The middle of the album sends me back to my childhood (Spinning Wheel), but as an adult I see how prog-adjacent this album is. The album is bookended by prog rock themed pieces that would be at home on an ELP album. Really really enjoyed this.
Love this. Light punk / new wave is right up my alley. Light punk in that the music is more complex than more punky punk, but snappy and energetic.
Fabulous. A toe-tapping bop.
I really like a number of tracks on this album (Piggy, Closer, Hurt) but dislike others quite a bit (The Becoming, Big Man With a Gun).
