1001 Albums Summary

child in time, speed king or flight of the rat. first album with Ian Gillian. i think his voice is a bit much at times. agree the keyboards are a bit much too, which seems they become more guitar heavy next few albums. going 5 out of 10. all the songs were decent

i like bone machine and gigantic. where is my mind. this one caught me off guard

meh. so many better cure albums. I’m not sure why this one was picked. I did a little research on the side and apparently this one is considered a forerunner for Goth. But clearly there would’ve been better choices to include in this list for the cure.

Wow. Excellent choice. Rush at its best. Aside one is rock n roll perfection. Side 2 reminds the listener what Rush does best - prog rock. The album successfully straddles these 2 Rush identities. True classic

i like it. not a 5 star. not a classic. but a good singer / songwriter pop album. i enjoyed it sufficiently. some of her better songs are on here

the clave is alive and well on this album. easy listening. 3

can’t go wrong with Aretha

of all the Steely dan albums they could choose, i don’t understand this one. terrible

2 bangers right out of the gate. Tale of Brave Ulysses is solid too.
