Not bad, easy listening and a couple of good ones
The Murder Mystery was the highlight.
3/5
Full of bangers. I had no idea DS did so many songs that I know.
Really enjoyed this.
Good, solid jazz.
Nothing stood out to me individually but I really enjoyed it.
A couple of decent tracks, one great track.
I thought this was mostly pretty forgettable. I wouldn't listen to the whole album again.
Really funky. I enjoyed this and there was a lot I recognised.
Lots of famous stuff on here and I didn't realise the pipe smoking legend 'Duck' was in the band. Good stuff
An excellent album. Really, really enjoyed it.
If I was being ultra critical, the only think that mildly grinds is the constant YEEEEAHH BOIIIII from Flava Flav. It still doesn't stop it being a five star album though.
Brilliant
It's fine, background music.
Nothing to get excited by, but nothing to dislike either.
Just...ok
The highs are absolutely stratospheric, which is why this is getting a 4
I enjoyed it a lot, but I think there are a few tracks that are just 'good' which stops it being an all timer
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I enjoyed the piano playing in particular.
Wouldn't rush to listen to again, but a decent album
I forgot what a good trip hop album this is.
The punkier ones aren't quite as good but inject the trip hop and dub into my veins
Didn't offend me, but not really my thing.
Nothing stood out to me and I'm unlikely to listen again. I can see why some would like it though.
Meh. Not my thing.
Tapped my foot once or twice. Wouldn't listen again
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.
The music is great and there was a couple of stand out tracks for me (Self Esteem, It'll be a Long Time)
I've never been a big fan of the vocals but yeah, this was pretty good.
This would be a brilliant instrumental album but for me, it's ruined by the vocals.
I do not enjoy AW's singing voice and found myself trying to block it out.
I enjoyed this, but not as much as I thought I would.
Not really sure what else to say about it really. Pretty good
Worse than Back to Black. This wouldn't even make a good album if you took away the vocals.
No
This is good, really enjoyed listening to it.
I've never really listened to Pink Floyd before outside of the really famous songs. I would definitely listen to this again and give their others a go
This album is great.
I'd never heard of Jeru before but there are some cracking tracks on this. I was convinced that that was going to be a 5 star album after the first few but I don't think the later tracks were quite as good as the first ones.
I'll definitely listen to this again and I might like it more and more. It's a peach.
A bit nothingy for me. Ok background music but nothing to get excited about
Pretty good this. I tapped my foot a lot.
Didn't get too excited but I quite liked it
I was sure this was going to be a one star album because I really didn't like it at first, particularly not the vocals
There were a couple of tracks later on that are a bit better.
Not my bag, but not a total disaster
I enjoyed this. Nice, enjoyable easy listening.
I'd never heard of her before and this was a nice surprise
You can't deny, U2 have written some good songs.
There are a couple of stinkers on here too but overall it's ok
This is a very, very good album.
I liked it when it was released and it's still a cracking listen
This was a very, very good album.
I'd never heard of them before and thought this was great.
The lyrics could have been written for now and would still be relevant.
Very close to a 5 star album but I can't see myself going back to it much.
A really nice surprise though, great stuff
This feels harsh, because I like Randy Newman, but I didn't really enjoy this.
I like listening to a Randy Newman song, but a full album is too much
Sets the bar for how bad an album in this book can be.
I didn't enjoy any of it, at all.
This is a good, solid album.
It got better towards the end but not a huge amount stood out to me.
Very decent, won't be on rotation
This is the album equivalent of watching paint dry.
Scientists should study this to figure out the secret of time manipulation. Apparently it's only 49 minutes long but I'm certain that I was listening to this for a week.
By day 3, everything sounded the same. I was sure that I'd accidentally put one song on repeat, but no.
By day 6, I'd given up all hope of ever seeing the other side. I'd accepted that my life would forever consist of listening to this album.
At the end of day 7, when the sweet release of silence came, I emerged from my audio prison and blinked into the sunlight. All I wanted to do was hug my family. I had an overwhelming appreciation for how Andy Dufresne felt when he crawled out of the sewerage pipe and stood in the rain in The Shawshank Redemption.
There's no denying that Frank has a great voice, he just put it to use in the most bafflingly boring and unenjoyable way possible.
This is better than I thought it would be, especially because I really don't like 'Alright'
The faster, punkier songs are pretty good
How's that for a slice of fried gold.
Dream Pop perfection
Some of these are ok, some of them are not.
Not a bad album to have on in the car though
Funk me, this is really funking good.
I liked this.
It started with a bang and didn't really get back up to that high, but it was pretty decent.
What a sexy album. I should have dimmed the lights and lit some candles to listen to this
An absolute worldie
Being recommended to listen to things like this is why I started the Album Generator.
Belting. An easy five stars
Found it difficult to separate the art from the artist when listening to this, but I tried my best.
There are two very, very good tracks (Power, All the Lights), but almost everything else is absolute shite
This was ok. Passed me by a bit and won't be on regular rotation, but I kind of enjoyed it
This was alright.
The dream / space rock and pop were the highlights. Definitely better than the straight up indie songs.
Not bad lads
Not bad that.
I really enjoyed the beginning but got a bit bored. I liked almost every individual track but a whole album was a bit much
Not what I'd normally listen to, but there are some proper bangers on this
It would be criminal to rate it less than a 3
I can tell that this isn't terrible, but just isn't my thing at all
A real surprise and a very good album.
I'd heard of the band but never listened to them before. This is a belter
I really didn't appreciate how good the White Stripes were when they first came around.
This is superb
Loved the music from the start but couldn't get on with the vocals.
As it went on, I got used to the singing and started to really like this.
I'll definitely be listening to this again and diving into their back catalog. Cracking stuff
Not my jam
There are bits that are legit, but they come in small bursts.
An easy 5 stars
Lightning Bolt are masters of noise rock and I listened to this 3 times in a row
Now I just need to see them live again to see the madness go up to 11
Great fun and full of bangers.
You go Cyndi Lauper
Listened to what I could because Spotify didn't have the whole album.
I thought it was a bit shit, but in a weirdly enjoyable way.
Bang down the middle. Can't give 2.5 stars, so they can have 3
The sound of the crowd is unbelievably shrill, but when you get over that it's ok
What an absolute peach of an album.
I never felt like it outstayed it's welcome and it's packed full of belting songs, including a few stone cold classics.
This has to be five stars
I wasn't sure at first but got better and better. The 2nd listen was belting.
The National are definitely one to listen to more. Cracking stuff
I really expected to like this but my head dropped at the end of the opening track, that wasn't good.
It got a bit better but overall, I didn't think it was very good. American Girl was the best track by a long way
Spotify didn't have all tracks, but I heard enough.
Not the sound for me
This is fine.
Foo Fighters have some absolute bangers, but most of it is just fine
Wow
I hadn't heard of her before so this completely took me surprise and it was incredible.
Catchy, varied, full of heart and soul, absolutely superb. Loved it
Meh
I thought this was a bit boring but wasn't offensive. The song with Santana was rubbish.
Could be a 2 or 3 depending on what mood I'm in.
This was ok. Some of the songs were 3s, a few were 2s but I'm feeling generous so I've rounded up for the whole album
There were tracks on this that were really quite good, it started off as a nice surprise.
But then there were some absolute dumpster fires on here too which completely ruined it
This ranged from ok and inoffensive to mind numbingly boring
2
Couldn't wait for this to end.
Not because it's offensively unlistenable, but I was bored senseless.
I won't be revisiting this
Not my thing, but listenable enough.
Neil Young won't be on regular rotation for me, but I also wouldn't jump out the window if he comes on the wireless
I really thought I'd enjoy this, but just didn't find it interesting at all
This is ok. Something I'd quite happily put on in the background
Nothing stood out as fantastic, but I enjoyed it enough.
Dead Bodies was the highlight
Like normal Nirvana, but worse
What a nice album this is. Another one that I'd never heard of but will definitely revisit.
Well played Sufjan
A very, very good album.
It upsets me that it's 30 years old because I remember buying it
I need to listen to more Beck
How much Bob Dylan is too much Bob Dylan? This much
Most of the songs are ok, but I was desperate for it to end. The last song was the lowlight
I really expected to enjoy this.
The vocals aren't for me and overall there was nothing that interested me.
It was good this
One track really lets it down in the middle (Ladies Hit Squad) but I enjoyed the rest and there were some belters on there
Some tracks are better than others, but it's just not a sound or style that interests me at all...so far
Overall, pretty rubbish.
A couple of them were listenable enough.
Will not listen again
I had low hopes going into this (the 60s has been my lowest rated decade on this), but it was ace.
Varied, funky and just loads of fun.
Sign me up
There's some ok stuff on here, but it's punishingly long and I got bored. I completely tuned out at points.
As an album, it's fine. 2 would be harsh but 3 seems generous
Ok, wow.
When I saw this come up I thought I was going to have to find a way to allow the system to let me give it 0 stars. I've never enjoyed a Morrissey song and never liked his voice.
Against all the odds, I really quite enjoyed this.
It won't be on regular rotation, but it was a surprise, so fair play.
A lovely, relaxing album.
Really enjoyed this
This album makes me wish you could give half marks. Some good, some bad.
A 2 seems harsh but a 3 seems generous.
I'm going for 2, purely for how shite 'I Had a Dream, Joe' is
A very, very good album. I enjoyed this a lot.
I'd heard the name but couldn't remember listening to her before.
Brilliantly varied and thoroughly entertaining
This was like being stuck in a lift or waiting on hold for 40 minutes
Would have been better without the vocals
Intro was the highlight, but the rest was ok.
I'm not 100% sold on the vocals, but this would be decent background music
Listened to this twice to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
I wasn't. This is average.
