Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Mar 08 2026

For me, this is the ultimate Alice Cooper album. There are loads of classic albums that get praised because people think they should praise them. This one deserves it. It is catchy, weird, clever and properly memorable. No filler, no drop in quality, no sense of just padding things out. Just a great band at their peak making an album that still sounds fresh and full of personality.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Apr 10 2026

I do not get the low reviews here. Whatever came out in the early 90s, so naturally it has that sound, but that is part of what makes it what it is. You also have to remember where Aimee Mann was at that point and the influence she went on to have. She is a brilliant songwriter and that comes through all over this album. It may not be for everyone now, but it deserves a lot more credit as one of those records that really meant something at the time and still holds up far better than some are giving it credit for.
