I normally hate Beck but this was fantastic
Maximum rock n roll. If you don’t feel anything when you listen to this album, you’re Amish.
This album continues to get better the more I listen to it.
Inventive, just a little on the long side
Loved the album
Timeless album, impacting multiple genres of music to many years
A pretty strange album, but seems to have had an impact on British rock for a number of years.
I appreciate the impact as this sound had a massive impact on pop music for the next ten years…but there’s only so much of it I can handle.
The older I get, the better this album is.
A fun album!
Very nostalgic. Loved this album when it came out. Although every song on this album now drives me nuts because I’ve heard it for what it feels like everyday for the past 10 years, I need to be fair. When this came out, I loved it, WE ALL LOVED IT.
Sonic storytelling at its finest. I don’t always enjoy jazz, but this was a great experience.
Cool metal album, just a bit on the long side for me.
Good album. Southern rock-infused grunge. The album is lyrically interesting as well. I live in a northern state and the album challenges a number of the stereotypes we “northerners” hold against the south. Also, saw a review that gave this album 1 star and just said “I’m from Europe” bahahaha.
It’s fine. Beck just annoys me after a bit.
Cool album, great covers!
Cool album - tons of energy. Early power pop!
Liked, didn’t love
Much darker in tone, but a good album nonetheless
This album kicks off at 100 mph and never lets up. Heavy, but still melodic. A fun listen if you love metal music.
Cool album considering his age.
Very cool, very dark. Imagine hearing someone’s final words and testaments in the form of an album.
Cool album, but didn’t feel like it had big enough moments to justify the run time.
Cool album
Such a unique album. Great songwriting and wonderful instrumentation.
Magic on tape
I’ve heard the album before, and enjoy it. I just don’t think it lives up to the first listen.
Cool album
Some very nostalgic hits. Hard to give this album a real review when this sound has been copied by so many artists.
Cool album - it’s like the sonic equivalent of watching 2001 a space odyssey. Not for everyone, but interesting to hear how multiple genres can combine to create such a unique sound.
