Fun ethereal trap pop. I think they have some catchy drum and bass lines and I like the vocals, they remind me of being in a 1920s speakeasy. I ended up listening to dummy a bit more instead of third. That one will get 5 stats.

80s girly pop. Straight up my alley, I was singing along.

Pivotal 2010s pop album. I think it might experience the Seinfeld effect where it was so important as to become the norm, and now does not sound distinct.

The sound of this album is what I will associate with the genre speed medal. I would qualify it as a defining album of that genre.

Solid 90s rap but doesn't make my classics list.

Deserves more of an in depth listen

Interesting alt rock is how I would describe this. Kinda reminds me of radiohead a bit.

Indie pop rock. I have never heard of this band but this album was a jam! After listening, I wonder if one of my other favorite bands (tally hall) drew some inspiration!

Im very glad this album was recommended, I would've never known about ria otherwise. I have no idea what they're saying but the instruments sound great!

Tom waits has a beautiful voice but I didn't much enjoy the stand up aspects of this album. There was a lot of crowdwork

Has some very good songs and iconic eminem rap parts, but I don't think many of the skits or some songs aged well. In general I'm not a huge fan of skits in albums anyways.

Glad I discovered this album, it feels representative of disco! I wonder if there will be more disco albums chosen or if none compare?

Pleasantly surprised that while this is generic 70s/80s rock, it also slaps.

Had some fun alternative riffs with like a spring sound but I can remember one song so not my favorite

1970s album that definitely felt ahead if their time. This is the first album I did not finish because i didn't enjoy the first 14 songs.

Gorillas pushes all types of genre lines while making fantastic music. More popular virtual act that hatsune miku tho?

I liked one or two songs but otherwise don't remember others. I think this album could grow on me more.

Has Mr brightside but also the entire album is very good. I like the sound of the vocals, it brings a cohesive feeling theme to the album.

I liked the more metal focused songs. Overall I was a fan but this leaned more on the side of just an ok album for me.

Heads will roll is a classic but I listened to this album a few times through and can't remember a single other song.

Allegedly fully improvised piano concert. The skill for that is incredible. There is one reoccurring section of notes (motif?) That feels so familiar I could swear I've heard it before. Doing that while improvising is incredible.

Close to a 4 star. I enjoyed a lot of this but it was more raw of an album than I like, though I could see that part being a plus to others. Proto grunge

Honestly could be a 5. A lot of bangers on here, both vocally and musically like foreplay. Reminds me of steely dan or Fleetwood mac.

Mixed feelings on this. I think it had some iconic bass lines and catchy hooks but I didn't really enjoy it much. It feels like a goldmine of samples

I think lyrics may be important to this band, and I do not typically understand lyrics well until many more listens and more in depth listens so this album was a miss for me.

The hits are hits and the rest are forgettable. 1/3 of the album is one song.

Very similar to adeles albums. Laiona says both are sad but this one actually feels sad, which I can agree with in the vocals. I liked it but I can't say I liked all the songs so much to call this a masterpiece.

The beats on this are fire. This very much reminds me of Portisheads Dummy but instead of ethereal pop vocals it's more rap. I could see this go up to a 5 with more listens.
