Coldplay

Coldplay has an iconic sound, distinct from anyone else I’ve ever listened to. Sonically distinct, curious message in their lyrics. Puts me in a thoughtful mood.

Hard to listen to… so depressing. The X-ray notes said they were ‘confrontational performers’. And I can understand they must have been to be able to create this kind of sound without ending it all immediately afterward.

Punk’s not my thing - just doesn’t flow, makes me edgy. But maybe that’s the point. This album was at least consistent and made me pay attention. I can appreciate the musicians’ artistry. This sound can’t be easy to reproduce consistently.

What a delightful classic rock album! Transports me to the 70’s with nearly every song, but I heard a few tunes that surprised and delighted me. Excellent!
