Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

A real good time, filled with timeless music and sharp songwriting. These songs sound like they've been around since the dawn of time. RIP Dolly Parton.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Sep 12 2026

Its Miles Davis at the end of the 60s, it could only be a masterpiece.

Moby Grape by Moby Grape
Sep 18 2026

Made of fuzzy pop concoctions and folksy soul musings overlaid with beautiful vocal harmonies, early 60s psychedelia in its prime.

Sep 22 2026

Hearing Johnny Cash feels like hearing a hellbound preacher giving his last demented sermons. I love it.

Gris Gris by Dr. John
Sep 25 2026

A album that lets me get lost in this mad man's vodoo swamp, is an album that I will always love.

Sep 26 2026

Talking Heads planting the seeds of their upcoming masterpieces with this sneakily funky art-rock interpretation of soul, country, and pop.

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Sep 28 2026

Great goth rock album for the start of October.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Sep 29 2026

Perfection. Iggy Pop will forever be my musical god.

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Oct 01 2026

The template for 70s hard rock, but don't let that dissuade you. This is the stones reaching their peak, this is Mick Taylor making his presence known, this is the Rolling Stones wholeheartedly embracing their influences both musical and otherwise. This is a praised masterpiece that still feels underrated amongst the other Stones masterpieces. I love it.

Oct 05 2026

Tweedle tweedle dee. If I had encountered this album in its entirety in my youth, I would have probably become obsessed with it. Alas, I only knew the title track, which is still a banger. A great metal album, will be hearing more from it later on for sure. 4/5

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Oct 06 2026

Groovy and pioneering, a nice chill album that kickstarted one of my favorite genres.

Oct 09 2026

One of proto-punks first major statements and masterpieces. The roots of so many disparate genres and bands are planted here in this fuzzy, raucous, and experimental live document of the MC5 in top form.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Oct 12 2026

A smooth ride all the way through, I love this.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Oct 14 2026

Solomon sing me your songs filled with love, loss, lust, and yearning. I will listen with reverent joy.

Oct 17 2026

With a few chords and storytelling to match the great writers Marty Robbins helped define American country music.

All Directions by The Temptations
Oct 20 2026

Groovy RnB, Funk, and Soul tunes, produced by Norman Whitfield at his peak. Papa was a Rolling Stone might be the greatest song the Temptations ever sung.

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Oct 22 2026

The Yardbirds a blues-based band that I really love (when they drift from their blues influences). This album really shines whenever Jeff Beck gets the spotlight.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Oct 24 2026

Classic Grunge.

Mask by Bauhaus
Oct 25 2026

Danceable music about dark subject matters, what else do you expect from the founding fathers of goth rock.

Oct 26 2026

Clever storytelling backed by some of the best produced country music I've heard so far. Love the Buck Owens appearance. 4/5

Bummed by Happy Mondays
Oct 28 2026

Very good dance music, beginnings of madchester. I prefer their second album more though.

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
Oct 29 2026

Play me ye olde folk tunes, you mighty group. British folk-rock classic that showcases the formidable guitar work of sir Richard Thompson.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Oct 31 2026

Classic blues rock from that little ol band from Texas, Monumental.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Nov 01 2026

Perfect, what more could be said about this work of art. The influence of this album is felt now in modern music. I love it.

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Nov 02 2026

All four studio albums by the Velvet Underground are Masterpieces.
