A magical album that has dark and ghostly athmosphere. Didn't expect to like it so much 4/5

Sounds very 80's but in a good way.
I feel like a lot bands that I've listened through 2000s and 2010s, have some this album in their DNA. It's fantastic album
Production here is amazing and I guess that alone warrants it's place on the 1001albums. It's clear that the musicianship's there too but this not my cup of tea.
Great singer and musicianship here, but this is not for me
This album has unique athmosphere to it and I think it's main thing to take from it. There aren't really pop hit songs (outside of Do you realize) but it's okay
I think this album is more influential than good for me. So
Classic album that has unique atmosphere
One of my favourite albums from PJ Harvey
Well this album is something that I can't be objective at all. Lifelong Nick Cave fan and knowing the context of this album this album is quite cathartic for me. Having gone through tragic loss I personally feel that the mourning here is real. The first 3 songs usually crush me to tears. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea and it's definately for specific occasions. But for those occasions it's fantastic album.
I could hear their influence on bands like Nine Inch Nails, Ministry and Daughters. Also had vibe like Scott Walker's Drift at times.
Classic album and one of my favourites all time. Favourite songs: New dawn fades, Shadowplay, She's lost control
While this is probably not one of my favourite PJ Harvey albums but I still think this is very welld done concept album. Favourite songs: Let England shake This Glorious land The words that maketh murder
Well this was a ride to listen to. I don't know how to review it but one thing is for sure that it belongs to this 1001 album list.
For me Muse is a band that has aged like milk. Map of Problematique is my favourite track from this album
I really don't think this album belong to this 1001 albums list. + Pharrel and Timbaland are clear step up from Max Martin (and *nsync) for me + Senorita, Rock your body and Like I love you are good singles and first 2 were on heavy rotation in nightclubs back in the day. - Other than those few songs, I don't think this is really that good album
