His voice is so whiny. A few classic songs that I like probably because I've heard them so much. If I heard this without knowing how popular it is, I probably would pick out the 2 good songs and move on.
Not really my style -- funky and metallic, without much lyrical substance or 'groove'. It just felt empty to me and a bit boring. Some cool moments, but overall not my thing. Hard to get through the whole album, tbh
It's just not my thing. While G&R were better then most hair bands of the 80s, it's still butt rock. And I don't listen to it much these days.
Generic, boring frat rock.
Peak 80's hair metal, my guy.
This might be enjoyable, can't remember the songs on it. Forgot what a banger this was. Might be cheesy and corny, but It took me back to my teenage years..really enjoyed this one.
Echt tolles Album, und das Talent des Sängers (ist doch Alice Cooper, oder?) ist offensichtlich Bisher das beste Album.
Good enough
wow oh wow - never played from start to end all the way through before - so good but also so many unnecessary side comments and moaning xxx sounds/ lol
No.
meh pop rock
Classic.
A classic album for sure with some of the bangerest bangers on it but the interim songs weren't so good.
Love it
I do like the hits Paradise City and Sweet Child - but the rest of the album is a bit flat and similar
Undeniably important, but hair metal sucks and Axl's voice is annoying.
peak classic rock
One of the greatest rock albums of all time. Big guitar sounds, every song is great
Testament to GNRs success that I knew most of this album just from the hits, but liked hearing some new things by them from this album.
I'd never actually listened to the whole album, but knew a few singles I knew I'd love. Solid album, some songs I wasn't too fond of, others I found I rather enjoy. Great choice!
I can't express enough how this album is awesome, a genre-changing moment when it was released. Although today i'm not a big fan of GnR and even listening to this album bores me to hell, I can't ignore the genius behind it. I don't know if any other band can rival a first album like this.
Bruh
Really solid all the way through. Several huge hits that don't feel dated. This album must have seemed revolutionary when it first appeared 4/5
Seminal rock album some absolute tunes, Axel Rose is still a prick
meh
habs mit Janko über die Boxen gehört, vibes aber trotzdem nicht so mein Style + man fühlt sich wie nen alter Mann der cool sein will und mit dem Kopf aus seinem Caprio zur Musik singt
Good guitar band
Classic hard rock album. I think there’s a couple duds, but this was really a moment in rock, and even the songs I’m not crazy about have some kick ass-ity to em
Clássico da adolescência. Como Axel cantava....
One of the best debut albums of all time. One of the best hard rock albums of all time with many iconic songs that almost everyone on the planet knows.
Wow....I did not know Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City and Sweet Child O' Mine were all from the same album.
Decent
CD com mais da metade dos clássicos da banda, mas muito irregular. Ainda assim, merece 4 estrelas. PS: versão demo da Don't Cry no soundcloud parece Lynyrd Skynyrd
So there are a lot of really dated and, frankly, cheesy tracks on this album. But it also has Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child O' Mine which are such absolute monsters that you can't not give the album as a whole a 5.
Classic, but a wholly overrated band
Two
darn good
Fun album. In my view this sound is the gold standard for hard rock as a genre. So many tracks with well-deserved classic status on this.
Not a fan of the vocals at all.
It was ok.
Shit
One of the best rock albums of all time, even if a couple of tunes from it are way too overplayed on rock radio (paradise city, sweet child o mine) it's still just amazing. I'm more of a use your illusion kinda guy, but this is still getting a 5/5.
