5-Star Albums (27)

I'm sure it was an awesome latin dance fest in the 70s, but before my time and hard to get into without that experience. Now bring on Scooter!!! Lol
Banging basslines which are hard to resist doing firestarter-esque head bangs throughout.
Maybe 5? Definitely 5!
Easy enough listening but nothing stand out which would bring me back to it.

Good baselines but too much screaming rather than singing.
A bit dreary and tracks all similiar tone and vibe. Not for me.
Easy enough listening but nothing stand out which would bring me back to it.
Only track I recognised was the title track Since I left you. But rest are intreging and full of random sounds combled together which some how work for me.
Number of classics in here. The Boxer is one of my favs. Worth the 4 star alone.
Forgotten it already
Angels still a classic and some decent others. Wanted 3.5.
On the short side at 30 mins. Over by the time you feel its just getting started.
Slow paced shite
Beatles put out a lot of songs in their time. I feel with this double album they've went for the opposite of a greatest hits album.
Banging basslines which are hard to resist doing firestarter-esque head bangs throughout.
Prob big in Middle East, just not used to this style of music and unlikely to adopt it.
Not his best stuff but easy enough listening. Better to come.
A generous 2, a couple of good tracks, filled with a spectacular array of nonsence and lazyness.
Pleasant surprise. Enjoyable listen, not sure it will be a regular listen mind.
Some great tracks. Must have listened to Jump into the fire 10+ times.
Some good tunes but overall it's not my cup of tea. Bar a couple of songs i wouldn't listen again.
All the same pace throughout, rather uninteresting.
Nothing noteable in here.
Meh
I'm sure it was an awesome latin dance fest in the 70s, but before my time and hard to get into without that experience. Now bring on Scooter!!! Lol
Has better albums than this. Disappointing.
Like the title track but all other tracks were very similar without any vocals to spark any interest.
Maybe 5? Definitely 5!
An Album of 2 halves. Decent 1st half, nonsense 2nd.
2 good tracks of Every breathe you take and king of pain. The rest aren't up to much.
Only managed 4 tracks before I gave up.
Classic tracks and some lazy efforts.
Surprisingly enjoyed whilst working away in the office. Still can't see me sticking this on again like most other Jazz.
Couldn't finish. Got about 5 tracks before I was bored.
Nearly stretched to a 4.
Not a full nappy but some skidmarks
Not the strongest first half but Bohemian Rhapsody more than makes up for it
I love uk indie rock but this ain't so loveable ( to my ears anyway).
Not enough variation in the tracks to draw your attention
Loved 1st track in particular. Almost a 4 but not sure how likely I'm going to go back to listen.
Few different sounds mixed well in here. Who knew that county could sound good with a little electronic backing.
Dark, nobody wants to listen to this.
Highly enjoyable and great rhythm though out. Could easily give a 4 but just don't think it's got the appeal for regular listening.
Do like a number of their tracks but very few on here and the rest ain't great.
Enjoyable album but I'm not sure there is enough here for it to be memorable. Generous 3 maybe.
Vile
Good album but dropped a star due to lack of new material. Mainly songs from previous albums or covers.
Made Blues and Jazz cool again.
Tracks are OK but too repetitive, songs could have been compressed 50% and still had the same sound and avoided the boredom that creeps in.
Some hits at start but 2nd half is poor.
Absolutely bored, couldn't finish it.
Like anything which kick starts a genre, better stuff comes with time but this was a catalyst of inspiration. Crazy he had been doing it for years prior to release as a teenager.
I was expecting more from this, quite dated and real lack of backing tracks, very basic. Still love 'It's tricky' though but mainly in remixed form.
Vile
Just don't get it.
A safe 3. Good in its field but i'm not going to be listening again soon. Not my genre really.
Great vocals and quality all round. 5 star listen, but drops a star as not all his own material. Only fair done the same to Johnny Cash.
An extra star for originality but it isn't pleasant on the ears. Basically took all the criteria on how to make a song, teared it up and made their own rules, which is commendable but personally don't like the end product.
Always remember this album being really slow, dreary and depressing but once you've heard Frankie Teardrop it doesn't seem all that bad. Some decent songs but still don't get all the Radio head hype.
Some great tracks and a lot that blur into the background whilst all being very similar.
Your ma this your ma that.
OK but there are many better albums than this in the genre.
Yeeee Haaaa
Instrumental master class and advertiser's and film director's dream.
Pleasant enough album but nothing stand out.
Nice but all a little same paced and lost interest. Relaxing though.
Possibly some nostalgic bias with this one.
Generous 3 saved by some good singles. Feels dated now.
Started well, then faded and faded and faded.. right I'm bored now.
Generous 3 some complete rubbish on here, saved by some quality singles.
Solid 3 and green light is a great track.
Beatlemania still remains a mystery to me.
Pleasant but basic
Could only manage 4 tracks. Couldn't listen to the vocals anymore.
Just OK, nothing in here really stood out for me.
An extra star for my lack of French.
Don't like when politics comes into music or sport. However good album with great vocals. Great cover of Nothing compares 2 u. Might have given a 4 if the best song on it was an original.
Noise or Music?
Quality Latin chilled vibes. 👌
Not bad for metal
Not so FRESH. Message nearly pulls it up to a 3 but would be generous. Pioneer at the time.
Sounded like it could have been the sound track to Clockwork Orange. For electronic music made 50 years ago and still sound this good is amazing.
Pleasant enough to listen too but with nothing standing out. Easily forgotten.
Killed it.
Generous 3. Nothing stands out but all OK and similar.
Pleasant but all same paced and probably will not listen again. Opening track possibly the stand out.
Pirce of my heart and Turtle blues are great tracks. Audio quality not great but it is a live venue recording so gets a bye ball. Love the art work.
Good up to track 6 and then loses its way.
Pure class
