There’s probably a 4 or 5 star album buried in here but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna spend another 2 hours trying to find it. A more selective approach might’ve resulted in a shorter, better album. All things must pass quality control

First track great. The odd one is pretty good.
Takes a while to warm up. Second half is top notch
Classic. Search the hard drive of anyone who says otherwise
Gets one star for the effort of actually going to the studio and recording this pish
Great fun. God of Thunder and Great Expectations are just too much though and take away from the rest which stay just the right side of ridiculous.
Some good fun tracks, can see myself dipping back into it, but doubt I'd ever listen to the whole album again
Just too bleak for me. Sounds underproduced. We get it, there are unemployed people in America, play Born to Run and shut up about it ffs
The first half of this album is as good as pop music gets. Sensational. The second part loses momentum , but still has This Is A Low and To The End to pull it round. Easy 5 stars.
Liked everything on here. 2 or 3 absolute crackers
Liked the first track and a couple at the end. A lot of nonsense on there in between though
Sub standard faux-Britpop waffle for the most part
Has its ups and downs. The vocal on Fever is amazing. Dirty Dirty Feeling & Such A Night are undiscovered gems.
Preposterous drivel. You could almost hear the midget dancing round the 18 inch Stonehenge
I will not be subscribing
Make it stop
Enjoyed it. No bad songs on there but also no amazing ones, rattled along nicely.
An incredible listen. Really bowled over by it from start to finish. Fully felt the weight of a man facing the end. Superb.
An easy 3 in the end. Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya Ya, Walk On Gilded Splinters and Jump Sturdy are all great. Not bad for an album with only 7 songs on it. Groovy in the purest possible sense. ✌🏼
First track is great. The rest is ok. Tough for Western ears to get. One star for the musicianship + one star for my white guilt.
Takes a few listens before the ‘filler’ tracks start to make a bit more sense. There’s a lot of good stuff on here
Nice inoffensive, stuff with a couple of classics with a small ‘c’

Proper Beau, I tell thee
A winner, man, from Zimmerman 👍🏾
Really enjoyed large parts of this but it just goes on forever
Possibly the worst band of all time
3pac
Mainly a 3⭐️ album, lifted up to a generous 4⭐️ by The Passenger & the title track 👍🏾
The One I Quite Like
Made me want to throw the rope up. Does exactly what it says on the tin 👍🏾

Nice songs, nice singing & nice production. ‘Rainbow’ is a 5⭐️ banger
Seba don’t make me listen to this shite again
Ruben me up the right way 🕺🏻
Shake It Off & Blank Space are 2 of the all time great pop songs. The rest is pretty decent.
I don’t want it baby
Poo dancers
Gunky trunks
Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duuuuuuuuuh duuuuuuuuh. They look like Clem Fandango and the other fella on the cover
Take 3⭐️
Takes the idea of wearing your influences on your sleeve to a ridiculous level, but a great album
A couple of absolute bangers. The rest is passable enough. But enough about Madonna lol 👍🏾
3⭐️ out of 5 ain’t bad
Farts & moans
A handful of great tunes and some decent filer. A solid 3
Fairly meh pre-britpop, without any real standout track to make it worthwhile
Throwing some fire 🔥
Shite
Right on the money
Dusty bin putting out some great albums
Some great stuff on here
Mostly decent. Becomes a bit boring after a while. A generous 3
This television set gets a great reception from me 👍🏾
Absolute charmer of an album. The singles, in particular, are excellent 👍🏾
Good stuff all round
Stone cold classic. Bowie at his weird best 👍🏾
A generous 3⭐️ Smoke on the Water is shite 👍🏾
Decent, if the rest of the album was half as good as Born to Run, it would be deserving of its status as a classic 👍🏾
Might have bumped it up to a 3⭐️ if it hadn’t been recorded through a duffle coat
Overrated 👍🏾
3⭐️ Was looking good for 4 but fell apart at the end. Must be a Liverpool thing. Have also struggled to do much of note since 1990 lol 👍🏾
Neu that’s what I call music 👍🏾
Cosmic 🌎 👍🏾
Fantastic album. Every track still holds up
2 Order
Title track is a 5⭐️ classic but it loses marks at an alarming rate from there on in.
Some really good stuff on here and some absolute bollocks. Standard Byrds album by this stage 👍🏾
Not much wrong with it but didn’t grab me
Dos estrellas ⭐️ ⭐️ 👍🏾
2 ⭐️, which is a 5⭐️ in country terms because country music is shite 👍🏾
Doesn’t hold water 👍🏾
Rotten
Sea plus
There’s probably a 4 or 5 star album buried in here but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna spend another 2 hours trying to find it. A more selective approach might’ve resulted in a shorter, better album. All things must pass quality control
A extremely generous 2⭐️ purely on the strength of Gigantic and Where Is My Mind. A load of auld toot.
The Craps lol
Shithole
Some great stuff on here. Obviously very dated though
Really close to a 4, but just not enough variety.
¡Ay curamba!
Finger lickin good
Could possibly have done with trimming a few tracks from this but generally a very pleasant listen. Reminds me of good times
He may enjoy fingering little boys bumholes, but if you can separate the art from the the artist, this is an all time classic
I think I would have scored this higher had it been in English. Ties are quality but didn’t have an ‘in’ through the lyrics
Might be more boring than the actual Bible. Well done
Hits the target 🎯
Not much to elevate this above average
A modern classic
Never heard this album before. Pretty great all round
Rubbish
Some great tracks on here, but it gets tired very quickly. Drags even at 30 minutes long
Much like the Ramones, a couple of great tunes but I wanted more
An all time great. Love this album. Feel like I’m in Mad Men when I listen to it
Probably the best of the CCR albums. A bit of quality control might’ve made one classic album rather than 3 good ones
Lovely album 🦊
I’m Louvin it
No surprises ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bit karaoke but pretty decent
Wickarus
3 great singles and some reasonable filler
I’d rather be pulling my wire lol
Probably a 4⭐️ but it’s getting the full 5 because Def Leppard are awesome
Masterpiece
Love this album. A Sunday morning favourite and a career best for Weller
Great live album. Star off for being a wrong ‘un
2 standout singles and a lot of filler
Q: Is this not shite? A: Yes
Decent country music, elevated to a 3 star by a couple of great songs at the start. And people say she’s just a big set of tits.
The Smiths weakest album. Needs more protein. 🥩
Really disappointing apart from two excellent singles
Dog dirt
Some bangers but a bit too long
Cack Flag
Lifted up to a 2 by the amazing Waterloo Sunset, which gives you an idea how shit the rest of it is
Far out
For a 2 hour jungle album, this flew in. Not much to dislike on here
Generous 3
Surprisingly enjoyable
Enjoyed that
This is not my beautiful Talking Heads
Shit
Not bad
Very decent
Some real highs on here. Imagine it would be brilliant live
So close to a 5⭐️ if it wasn’t for the mental last 10 minutes
Excellent Britpop record. Up there with the very best that The Bluetones and Kula Shaker had to offer.
Lovely album
Generous 3. Lifted up by Jane Says, which is a classic
This album should be called Spring Onions
Another disappointing Arsenal performance
Generous 3. Pretty disappointing
One of her best
Pretty decent country music tbf
Classic debut. Never bettered it.
Surprisingly enjoyable. Much better than expected
Few classic singles and a lot of auld 80s easy listening pish. Can’t believe it sold as many as it did
I’d rather be burnt at the stake than listen to this again. The Fall were shite.
Some brilliant songs padded out with blues jams . Close to a 4 but a bit too much filler
Still a good listen. Has dated pretty rapidly. Fairly poptastic
Had a great time with this 😂
II stars
This is absolutely wick
Some genius tunes and some absolute shite. Blurs career summed up in an album
A 5⭐️ album with another 5⭐️ album on the b-sides. The 🐐 Regardless of what Neil McGaughey says, the big wally
Slightly better than anticipated tbf
Undoubtedly a great songwriter, but Bruce leaves me cold
Good Lorde
Was all for giving this 3 stars before I re-listened. There's not really a bad track on it and one or two stunners
Cheesy Willy
Racist paedos. 3⭐️ Would listen again
Just my cup of tea ☕️ 🫖
They go too folky on this one
Rare PooPoo
Beautiful, dark, twisted, fantastic 👍🏾
A nailed on 2⭐️ from the first note
Peace Frog lifts this up to a generous 3
Top Gear 🚗
Hopefully walking across rooftops with a view to chucking themselves off. Shite.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Hounds of Love, ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for The Ninth Wave
666 minus 663 stars
I dig the hole thing
Nice easy listening album, propped up by Fire & Rain, which is exceptional and reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer goes into space, which is a classic.
Lame. Pound for pound, the absolute worst band in this book
Tempted to drop a star off for the lack of original material, but it’s just too good
Too jazzy
Another classic album that’s largely split between 5⭐️ and 3⭐️ songs
Generous 3. Could see myself enjoying it late at night but didn’t grab me
Moi non plus
Would be a 5⭐️ if only I could get on with I Want You (she’s so heavy), which takes up too much space
Excellent
Tremor-endous
The Velvet Underground are at their best when they’re doing weird, subversive shite. This is very orthodox and a bit anemic. By the time anything interesting starts happening in the last 10 minutes I’d already lost interest
Vocals and arrangements are great. Just a little to one-tempo to grab me.
Some great tunes. Brought back a lot of memories
A-spictacular album
Couple of decent tunes on here
Belongs in a skip
One of my favourite albums of the 90s the 4 singles are superb. Definitely the high point of their career. One to Another is one ofthe greatest indie disco tunes of all time. 4.5 stars bumped up to a 5.
Makes me feel like I’m about 100 years old. Don’t get it
Some real high points on here. Could’ve done with maybe losing 15 minutes or so but a good album all round
One of the great British punk bands to come out of Londonderry 🇬🇧 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Howzat! 🏏
Notable for being the exact moment Ye lost his mind and very little else. Load of bollocks.
Objectively a 3.5. But it’s a lot of fun and brings back a lot of mid 90s memories
One of the best Grindcore albums I’ve ever heard
Pushing a 4 but not quite
Maybe I’m amazed at how some of these songs are so good and some as so pished
Music for divorced middle aged men in poorly fitting jeans and tshirts bought from HMV 👍🏾
Some good tunes on here
Ambitious and interesting
Awful
Silver Snooze
Unbelievable that this lot have been successful for 60 odd years. 95% of their output is total dogshit 👍🏾
Absolute genius from start to finish
Better stuff surfs out of my butthole
I didn’t Courtney Love it, but I did Courtney Like it 👍🏾
Always wanted to give one to Mariah Carey, and here it is 🌟 👍🏾
Poo, more like lol
Shitin Sawney
Rare instance of a Ginger with a soul
Title track is a stone cold banger. Some other decent singles but largely a load of shite
Extremely generous 3
Great songwriter but this cunt needs singing lessons 👍🏾
The title says it all tbf. Some dogshit this 👍🏾
Poxy Music
Sound exactly like what you think a Simply Red album would sound like. It absolutely sucks 👍🏾
Calexcellent
Right up my street
Must have produced this in the woods 💩 👍🏾
crappy bad
Let’s get thrilled
Fittingly, a load of wank 👍🏾
Outstanding production, great playing and a great listen. Just lacks an out and out 5 star song to get top marks
Not my thing at all, but good vocals and well produced. Bonus star for the photo of a young Frank Lampard on the cover 👍🏾
I know it’s one for the purists, but there’s a couple of other Aerosmith albums that could’ve been in the book ahead of this IMO. Lacks a standout single
Really enjoyed this 🩸 🥵 😭
Jack White has based his entire career on this album 👍🏾
Five stizzles 👍🏾
Gave up halfway through. A terrible load of pish 👍🏾
The first three tracks on this are as good as the first three tracks on any album in this book, but it absolutely careers off a cliff after that. Dreadful early 2000s production and lyrics that make you cringe so much your chin touches your forehead. An extremely generous 3, based purely on the first 3 songs 👍🏾
Surprisingly pretty good in places
Extra star for keeping this shite down to 21 minutes 👍🏾
Brilliant
The Joshua Three
Good voice, good guitar 👍🏾
Good stuff. One star removed for being a nonce
Coming to the conclusion that Bruce is greatly overrated
There’s some real charming stuff on here. Tracey Thorn’s voice is great. The 80s production takes away from it a bit
Really hated this
I am getting sleepy. Very sleepy
Ray of shite 👍🏾
Pretty sweet
Fantastique
Thought this was great. Liked everything on here
American Snooze-ic Club
Talk shite
No more than a three-ling 👍🏾
Music to tap all eleven of your toes to 👍🏾
One of the all time greats
Vow of silence please
Common People is one of the best British pop songs of all time and the other singles aren’t too far behind it. Some cracking album tracks too. Possibly the best Britpop album
Nat bad
Love the title track. The rest is largely a load of old shite
Forgot to write any tunes lol
Standard MBV noise
A total load of bollocks that wasn’t good enough to become Blur b-sides 👍🏾
Poor all round. Even the cover is shit
Apart from Shining Star, which is just that, the rest of it is pretty lame
Probably a 2 star album but losing a point for being so long. Nothing really of note here and this goes on for 90 MINUTES??? Definitely not worth your while. Spinal Tap is only 82 minutes. Watch Spinal Tap instead 👍🏾
Some ok stuff on here
Really excellent hip hop album totally derailed by a song about god and a song about wanting to bum Stevie Wonder 👍🏾
Nothing offensively bad on here but forgot about the entire album the second I finished it
Trés bien
Can’t stand them now
Smatterings of genius and a decent listen all round
Decent enough. Nothing that grabs the attention though. The Cocteau Twins less interesting cousins.
There’s about 6 or 7 really good songs on here, but they get lost amongst a sea of unnecessary filler. Trim this back to 10 of the better songs and it’s probably a 4 star album. 👍🏾
Load of pish
Fairly disappointing. Pieces of a Man should be on this list. Much better album
The Poet Made a shit album And didn’t know it
Totally shite. One of the worst albums in this book. Music for wankers
Eric Clapton absolutely sucks
Not great. I wonder if it’d be in the book if it didn’t have a picture of the twin towers burning on the cover
Another album where you just wait for it to become interesting, then it’s over
He’s not going to eat all that watermelon 🍉
Hoped this was a Bonnie Tyler, Prince and Billy Ocean supergroup doing Darkness covers. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover it
I admire the ambition on this and there’s some good tracks, but a few too many fall short
This cockle eyed cunt has a brass neck calling anybody else a thief. He’s been stealing a living for the last 25 years.
Nothing amazing on here. Point off for trying to hit Jay Z in the lift that time, the daft mare.
I’m forever listening to albums from this book saying, ‘What the fuck is this garbage?’ And the answer is always Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
You’re not making country music any better, you’re just making the Byrds worse
Some gems on here
Reasonable 80s euro pop lifted up to a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ by 2 great singles
Very good
Generous 2 stars as I like Kate bush, so am giving her the benefit of the doubt, but this is a right load of old keek
Not as good when Ike’s not around to beat a tune out of her
Frank Crappa
Very very generous 3⭐️ based mostly on how good Aisha is. Takes the term ‘filler’ to another level for a lot of it though
Comes out of the traps like an absolute rocket, but slowly gets more samey, and a bit boring by the end. Probably a 3.5 star, but I’ll bump up to a generous 4 because the first few songs are so strong
Really enjoyed this
Had its moments, so a generous 3, but possibly the most uncool album in the book.
Shit
Dope
I like the cover. Music is OK
Load of carp 🎣
Ironically, for an album called ‘Stripped’, it could easily have lost half the songs on here and been a 5 star album. Some great tunes on here but it’s too long. Decent pop album that didn’t need to be over 75 minutes long. Wanked myself raw to the Dirrty video back in the day, too. 👍🏾
Starting to think that Talking Heads are pretty overrated
Not much to Crowe about
This first half of this is an absolute juggernaut, but the second is just middling. All Killers, half fillers.
Disappointing and too long. And 2 Aguilera albums in one week are going to ruin my Discover Weekly ffs
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’s slag sister
Basement Caxx
High brow stuff
Ordinary Monotonous Disappointing
Ambitious but pointless
Some class stuff on here
Solid
Listened to this in the bath and the wife shouted in to ask if I’d joined ISIS
The musical equivalent of a crywank 😢 💦
If these bozos didn’t wear red trousers they’d still be playing in pubs in Detroit
Awful music for awful people
Dreadful. Extra point for wearing a funny hat.
Better than any pixies album tbf
Karma Chameleon doing a lot of heavy lifting on this rating
Some great songs on here but also about 40 minutes of slap bass filler with white men singing about how funky they are
Loved this
Didn’t like this
No
Liked this
Would have been an easy 4 ⭐️ if it wasn’t 20 minutes too long
That one where he says he loves his lady’s chamber? Is he talking about her cunt?
Excellent stuff
I never thought I would associate Van Morrison with a good time, but here we are. Brilliant live album.
Fuck me, this is shite. I mean, Steely Dan are wick but this is another level.
Boxed my ears
This lot should still be making records
Some decent moments on here. Rattles along nicely
Really good voice, playing and production
Goes of the tracks now and again, but a decent journey overall 🚂
Decent all round
Dead good 🧟
Great album for a Friday afternoon
Really enjoyed this. Everybody Wants To Rule The World is one of the all time great pop songs. Loses a bit of momentum in the middle.
Worth a listen
It’s pretty far out tbf, but works well over the full album. Much better than I was fearing
🫠🫠🫠
3 is probably a bit generous, but it’s worth persevering with
Some worldies on this
Listened to this during a flight to Paris and the whole way back. Still had half an hour of it left to do 😫 Not bad, but nothing needs to last for 3 hours
Metallica at their absolute peak. 2.75 stars
Definitely not without its flaws, but I still enjoy this
Balloon knot 🍩
If Wham! are a bit too hardcore for you, this will be right up your street
Some decent tracks on here
Pretty Damned good
Brilliant stuff
Thought this was great
Weird but good weird
Britpop gold
Gibberish
Really enjoyed this, probably about 20 minutes to long though
Surprised by the pan pipes on this ngl
Da Crapo
Neil Diamanté
Shite Said Fred
First half is great, but the back end is pretty weak
The last great Britpop album
Some decent stuff but some annoying bollocks
Twooooth Operator
Shitty in Pink
The Twee Gees
Hated this
Not to make light of mental illness, but this jerk losing his marbles was the best thing to ever happen to Pink Floyd, cos this is shite
Really enjoyed this
Can’t believe we used to let these wallies make all the music back in the 2000s. Load of shite.
Offensively inoffensive
Just my cup of T 🫖
Didn’t enjoy this at all
Isn’t anything good on here
The benefits of a killer single and a great cover. A very generous 3, but if Golden Skans & It’s Not Over Yet weren’t on it, it would be almost unlistenable
Shitte Orca
Standard U2. Couple of great singles lifting up a lot on averageness
Hated this from the first note
It Bit Byrd Shit
Fantastic
Listened to the first half of this, and it was good. But , 3+ hours? Wise up ffs
Couple of epic singles and some unremarkable album tracks
Very enjoyable
Deep shit
Likes the feel of this but couldn’t remember a single song
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting the IRA to get a shout out on this. Mental album
Tremendous stuff. My favourite jazz record of all time
Great stuff
Surprisingly not bad
Had a great time with this. Flirted with a 4
Very enjoyable
Chronic Doof
Very enjoyable to walk around town with this in your headphones. Bit too long though, I got jazzed out
Too long
Went over a speed bump whilst listening to this and now I’m 7 months pregnant
Flirted with a 4, but it takes some wild turns in the home stretch. Glamour Boys, I’m looking at you
Was looking good for a 4, but definitely worth a listen
Not really my cup of tea, but giving it less than a three would be very harsh. It’s not without its charms
Much like her face these days, too much filler
Never got going on this
Poo Order
Some brilliance, a lot of bollocks
Bjoring
Hated this
Extra star for the Simpson’s episode where Bart gets everyone to sing this in church
Bored of Canada
Peak Little Richard is as good as it gets
Shite
Muck
Nt bd
The Shits lol
C’est vraiment terrible. Je le donne un plus etoile parce que j’essaye appendre francais et le m’aider un peu
I was working in the Limelight when these guys played. When it was showtime the lead singer turned left instead of right coming out of the dressing room and went full steam into a wall. That was much more entertaining than this album.
Ambitious and there’s a few decent moments on here, but it’s just too weird
The small amount of sex that I managed to have in the early 2000s was soundtracked by this album. Or the first 90 seconds of it at least
Pants - tera
Core blimey
Bet Greg loves this shite
Saucy 🍅
There are 100 albums in this book from 1967 that all sound exactly like this
Not bad. Like it better than Psychocandy
Listened to this on an exceptionally strong pill one night, whilst sitting in a half built bar and it was a revelation. Been a firm favourite ever since
1001 albums by Crosby Stills Nash and Young you must listen to before you die
There’s one great tune on here, but it’s not enough to lift it up from one star, that’s how bad the rest of it is
Some bangers on this but some muck too
Neil Dung
Punishing piss
Enjoy-he-heed this
Made me want to throw the rope up 😵
The music is worse than the cover, if you can believe that
Difficult to see how you can give this more than one star
Good quack 👍🏻
Not terrible by any means. The version on Spotify has got ‘Move Any Mountain’ on it, which adds a star
Very enjoyable. I know a good few of these songs from being out and about back in the day. Always assumed they were Daft Punk tracks
Lyrics were much better than I ever gave Sabbath credit for. Lots of class riffs, but can be a little samey
Load of shite
The Shite Stripes
If this silly bastard knew how to swim, this wouldn’t be in the book
Pretty smooth, but still had some juicy bits 🍊
Some very unexpected high points, but some very expected mid 80s neo soul pish
Music for try hard wankers
Bought this on CD back in the day, and listened to it quite a bit. Through modern ears it doesn’t sound great, and, when you think about it, the whole thing is pretty ridiculous. These cunts are from Dublin ffs 😂 The Wikipedia entry is full of facts that make you shake your head in disbelief “ It was released on 27 May 2003 and quickly achieved success in Ireland, spending 61 weeks in the top 75 of the Irish Albums Chart.[12] The album also won 'Album of the Year' at the national music awards” 🤦🏽 “ The album was nominated for the 2003 Mercury Prize but lost to Dizzee Rascal's Boy in da Corner.” “ The song "Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far)" was ranked by Q Magazine at number 550 on their list of the 1001 best songs ever made” “ The song "Say It Ain't So" appeared on US President George W. Bush's iPod in 2005” 😂 Nostalgic 3 stars as they were quite good when I saw them open for the Stones in Dublin, but it’s really a 2
The version on Spotify has Gary Gilmores Eyes on it, which drags this up to a 3
Can’t give a full 5 stars after what Diddy has been up to, the dirty baste
Bonkers, but ultimately too long. Worth a spot in the book for the back story alone
Fantastic singles band, never made a great album, although One Step Beyond should be in ahead of this. Solid greatest hits.
Very enjoyable
Charming enough, but not essential
Thought this was really charming with solid production. Flirted with a 4.
My head dropped when I saw we had another nick cave album, but this is excellent
An underrated masterpiece. This album should have had them filling stadiums
Bollocks
Great fun throughout. School’s Out is such a strong song that it really carries the whole album though
Didn’t really enjoy this at all
One earphone stopped working halfway through this, which can’t have done it any favors tbh. Loved Seventh Tree but found this a bit wanky
First half of this is great, second half is wick
Charming as usual
I’ll be honest, I only listened to about the first 20 minutes of this. Not sure it was gonna take any different directions in the subsequent 70
His best album , some absolute classics on here 👓
Hate to say it but told you so is an undeniable banger. But even over a run time of 28 minutes the Stooges shtick gets tired. And this is a compilation too. Generous 3
Bit of a 21st century classic. Really worth listening to
A right load of crap. No reason to exist, let alone be in this book
Load of balls
Stinkin’ Fart lol. In The End is a tune. The rest is absolute garbage.
Not nipping this shite in the bud is the reason we have Cage the Elephant. Don’t let white people try jazz
Echo and the Bunnymen are shite. And Liverpool fans.
Absolutely fucking hated this
Total waste of my time
Unsurprisingly, from a shit Michael Jackson, it sounds like a shit Michael Jackson album
Didn’t mind this at all. Scooted by nicely
A pack of art school wankers who make music exclusively for children’s birthday parties. Queen have always absolutely sucked 👍🏻
Not bad at all. Could have scored higher if it had been a bit shorter. Kinda zoned out towards the end
One or two enjoyable tracks on here
Great listen. A modern classic.
Liked this in parts, but was pretty disappointed overall.
Jesus Mary Joseph and the wee donkey chain
Turd 💩
First track is a barnstormer. The rest is good but I wanted more of the first
Meh, it’s ok. Sunny Afternoon is great but not sure there’s much else here
Great stuff

Thundercats are on the move Thundercats are loose Feel the magic, hear the roar Thundercats are loose Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats! Someone in this group got sucked off by Mum-Ra on my stag do but I’m not a tout.
I’ve been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn’t understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins’ presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group’s undisputed masterpiece. It’s an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I’ve heard in rock. Phil Collins’ solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist.
🥴
Nobody has enough good songs for a double album
Some absolute monsters on this 🕺🏻 🪩
Not sure whether Once In A Lifetime lifts up an average album or makes the rest of the album seem average
Once left a Daft Punk set to go and see Brian Wilson at a festival. A decision that haunts me to this day.
Thought this was class 😂
I will always love this album 😂 First half is top notch
Put this on in work and now HR want to talk to me
Like an even more shit version of the Pixies
Franktastic
Sounds like Hitler frustratedly trying to put up a shed for half an hour
Liked this album at the time, still like it now. Crawl is great, Sex on Fire is just played to death, but it’s still a good song. Not sure I ever listened to it all the way through though.
Great album, but Steven Tyler is a wrong ‘un
Never heard this before. Absolutely fantastic. Not sure it needed a 12 minute outro shouting out sexual predator Tim Westwood and neo-Nazi Kanye West 😬, but even that’s really good.
Was close to giving this one star. It’s a right load of old shite
The singles are pretty great. The rest is the filleriest of filler
Castles made of sand and little wing doing a lot of heavy lifting on here
Possibly my favourite French transgender electro funk album of the 2010s
Didn’t mind this at all
Stellar reminds me of Guitar Hero and the rest is pretty interesting. Nu Metal for grown ups
No me gusta
Some interesting parts, and Constant Craving is objectively a tune. Generous 3 stars
There are the same amount of Morrissey albums in this book as there are Smiths albums. What’s that about?
Some great tracks on here, but like many 90s albums, it’s just too long. Flirted with a 4, but a star dropped off in the last 20 minutes
