Me gustó. Daft Punk meets Prodigy.
Couldn't figure out where I knew "Stress" from. Turns out it was on the NBA2k13 soundtrack which I played for hundreds of hours.
Electronic music is not my taste.

This was a first listen to a band I don't know. "D.A.N.C.E." was the one track that I've heard a version of somewhere. "One Minute to Midnight" is the track that got my highest rating. "The Party" was my least favorite. I enjoyed listening to the album enough that I think that I may have to turn the 3.5 stars into a full 4 star rating.
Never heard of this band before. "I'll just listen while I'm in the gym", I thought. Wham! First track couldn't have been more apt for the situation. It's great to workout to but I didn't even recognise the genre, never mind the track, so had to look them up to find out what sort of 'music' this is - but I was none the wiser, really. Eurobollocks maybe? Downhill all the way after the first track - I don't dance so this is hopeless. Confirmed all my prejudices about dance music though, so I'm glad I listened to it. Nul points from me.
Zo, dat zit erop. Ik vond het een lijdensweg, dus wat dat betreft prima voor een paasochtend. Hoge energiedichtheid, heb je geen heel album van nodig. Ik vraag me af wat een goed moment zou zijn om dit album te beluisteren en meer te kunnen appreciëren. Ik vermoed tijdens een autorit op snelheid terugkomend van een concert in Amsterdam, rond middernacht, maar ik heb geen auto. En de keer dat ik meereed stond er file.
Certainly not a first thing in the morning album, but I quite enjoyed it. Perhaps more as driving music for a long journey.
Het stof ligt weer mooi herverdeeld in de woonkamer. Toch: meer 'mjah' dan 'critically acclaim'. Wel leuk om nu te weten uit welk nest D.A.N.C.E. komt.
First couple of songs are great. 2nd half not that good.

Weird but not in a good way
Felt similar to Daft Punk, but a little less melodic and noisy. Probably the increased distortion and no vocals. I'm a fan of EDM generally but I think this was on the weaker side, compared to modern artists.
Liked this a lot! Usually I find EDM to be repetitive and boring but this had a lot of melody and reminded me more of Daft Punk than anything else.

Give me a big throwback to Homework/Discovery era Daft Punk, and I am absolutely loving it. I was almost set on giving this album a 5, but wow, the song The Party was so bad it lost the album an entire star for me.
Okay to listen to if I didn't pay too much attention. Got better as it progressed.
Kinda synth, beat heavy. Weird song with kindof child-y voices, odd. Not too anxiety inducing.
An easy 4. Superb stuff.

Justice gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️from me - it was heading for a solid three stars until you get hit with the triple whammy of DVNO, Stress and Waters of Nazareth which are all insanely good

D.A.N.C.E. 2. Let There Be Light 1. The Party Overall Notes: A remarkably consistent electronic album. The main pitfall of electronic albums for me is that some of the songs drag on for a bit too long, but at 48 minutes for 12 songs this is just about the perfect length for the songs to breath without overstaying their welcome. Only knew D.A.N.C.E. going in, and that is definitely the outlier of the album. It's a lot darker and dirtier than that single, but in the best way possible. Daft Punk have their influence here, but they were also in turn influenced by this mammoth of an album. Incredible stuff.

This is new to me. I fucking love it! On rare occassions a dance album just grabs me and I fall head over heels in love, this is one of those times. It sounds so BIG. I've listened in the middle of the night, on low volume. I cannot wait to put it on the big music system and go loud. There are a billion samples recognisable throughout, it's funky as hell, and impossible to not dance like a nut to. Love it.
I really liked this. It was nice that my 28 yo son and I like the same music every now and again. Lots of good pace and attitude.

Although largely 48 mins of gr ner na na barp barp, there is enough melody and other stuff going on to sustain attention and make this more enjoyable and interesting than I usually find dance music. Nice variety in the album whilst still sounding a cohesive piece. Liked the classical-played-on-organs-to-8-bit style. Also enjoyed the elevating break offered by the two vocal led tracks sequenced together at tracks 8 & 9. Would stick it on in the unlikely event of hosting an all night rave.
Finally something a bit different. Still only gets three stars but...

Positively surprised. Good electronic album.
I think I commented when reviewing their French cousins, Daftpunk, that the LP format wasn’t good for electronic dance music, but Justice do a better job of mixing it up, plus the LP is only 48 minutes, and it’s not really dance music, at least it wouldn’t get me rushing to the dance floor. The production is great. I like the chunky fat bass synth riffs and the way they swing from an anthem rock feel to disco and back again. It was a good idea to bring in vocalists, I just wasn't so enamored with the ones they brought in.
Great Electronic with an upswing on the last few tracks.
An unholy, noisy mess. Daft Punk did it better. I gave it 1.5 stars but rounded it up because its a nice sunny day today.
Such a good album. I haven't played it in a while. I used to listen to this a lot with my student when I first started teaching. I think I saw them live at some point too. Still sounds fresh.

Really the poster child for why I think EM doesn't improve as it gets more "pure" - yes, a very well-crafted album, but whether at home or at a rave there's not enough variation/ebb/flow that feels organic.

While the list of things I didn’t care for about this album are long, I did not actually hate it. For the sake of not ranting, my biggest complaint is listening to one song after another at practically the same bpm and with little variance in dynamics. That said, I could get behind some of the ideas on here and if this was playing at a party or camp or something I could get down with it. Favorite tracks: “Let There Be Light,” “D.A.N.C.E.,” and “Phantom Pt. II”
This was a pretty interesting one for me, I can't say I'd ever heard this album but I swear I've heard one of the songs in an apple commercial or something of the sort

I tried to give this a chance, but it was terrible.
This is the album that got in interested in Electronic music, every song is perfect, with there was a six stars option.

still a banger if maybe a tad bloated; generally seems the fewer lyrics the better ("the party" is rough). that's great bass!
College dance party babyyy. I need to find some late-night pork rinds to soak up all that twisted tea. I can see how this album steps up that 90s electro-dance into something a little more fresh and unique. It really is a good album in the context of the genre.

Love this album, great to have another listen. I love the energy and electronic beats that aren't too clubby. There's a musical theme throughout that is noticeable too. Brings me back to college era... Highlights: -D.A.N.C.E. -DVNO -Phantom

Crazy that I just listened to this album for the first time like a week ago and now I got it again. I'm not sure that it's particularly groundbreaking, though after reading up on it, it seems like this album is composed of a massive amount of samples in a way that is not particularly noticeable. Really fun and solid the whole way through 4/5
Such a ground breaker - the rock influence makes the disco very approachable for non-EDM fans. Hard not to bop along and feel like it's time to dance.

This is new to me and much better than I expected -- electronic duo from France, with rock/metal/funk influence.
It's Daft Punk, but compressed and distorted to hell. Grading on a curve and giving a 3 because it's a dance album that only made me want to play in traffic like four times. Best track: D.A.N.C.E.
D.A.N.C.E was great , otherwise too glitchy

One of the first albums I have listened to in a while that made me go "Whoa". So many suburb tracks on this album. "Stress" is incredible as is the infamous "DNCE"
5/10, average. Some good tracks, but doesn't stand out from particular era of electronic music
A tremendous dance record. Gold standard for french house. So inspiring to learn it was all recorded in garageband.
