Needs help
Excellent, progresses while keeping you in your toes.
Definitely cool, but a bit cacophonous for me
The lyrics…..no….. Good first song though. It was promising but plummeted. But the lyrics were cheesy / 16 year old bong hit (as Ian says) vibes.

Muzak
love it, refined lady-sonics.
Less sad joy division + less spectrum talking heads = good
Definitely cool, but a bit cacophonous for me
it's fine and that's kind of it
Nice, subtle. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would, but I still don't really get the lyrics.
Stats strong....
... Ok.
But typically a grunge guy, but this works.
Dramatic, ominous showtunes. A good time!!
Most underrated beatles? Less maximalist, but still go it.
...a bit weird. It isn't punk, but it might not be not punk.
Lesser than steely dan
Hippy shit. Also, #1 road trip album.
Talking heads + Kraftwerk = meh. At least some tracks have funky baselines.
Exactly as advertised. But one of those jazz albums that's more a collection of songs than a cohesive album.
Delightfully synical
Well... I liked it more than I expected to.
As advertised.
Just classic
Good songs but meh delivery
IF YOU BE MY BODYGUARD!!!!
Some standouts but…only some
Better than you think
Classic rock covers at the top were cool, bsides were pretty .... bsidey
Lesser then are you experienced it turns out.
Hot take: SOS>BOR?
Not for me.
Back half need not be, front half bangs.
Dumpster fire.
Not their best.
No.
Jess likes em, Ian meh. Splitting the difference.
MASTERPIECE ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Everything modern Americana should be
Ambient and nice.
Lesser sabbath
It has a couple bangers, but also some downright unlistenable tracks.
Terrible. Just terrible.
Good start with cool transitions. But it gets stale before it's over.
Nice, clean country
FRANKIE!!!!!!!
Much better than anticipated! Fun 60s pop stuff you may hear in a diner. Also similar to early Beatles! Pleasant!
Fills a very real need.
Surprising amount of zep samples.
More of Jess bag than Ian. But her voice conveys pain and longing. Certainly a lot of depth and attests to a life lived.
A bit 80s but solo electric folk really works.
Were debating between 2 and 3 because her voice is high and can be *grating*. But when she is not doing that, it is really beautiful. Jess also forced this rating
The lyrics…..no….. Good first song though. It was promising but plummeted. But the lyrics were cheesy / 16 year old bong hit (as Ian says) vibes.
Jess really likes this kind of music (ESP song Desire Lines) and Ian says he would return and listen to this album again.
Great guitar.
It’s fun!!!!!!
Rocks harder than I remembered.
No
A bit ... sexist, and but good proto-stones.
Beautiful
MBV + NIN + ... + 90s other 90s alt rock. I like it.
So so strange. In the best way.
Better than their latter years let on.
Strong 4 or weak 5. Ian recommended a year or so ago and Jess couldn’t get into it. Now, everything is different
It is a 5, however there are some notes -we all know there is an inferior cover -is masters of war THAT good a song -don’t think twice and hard rain gonna fall are AMAZINg songs
Dad rock defined.
Holy falsetto
Maybe the doors best
Slaps.
If we hadn't already given freewheelin' a 5 ....
Too fast...
Boooring
Such a lovely place
Talking heads on television.
Stank Face (n) A human facial expression identified by a flaring of the nostrils and raising of the upper lip which is caused by '70s influenced funk bass playing.
Ok, but did I need an Americana Byrds album?
YES
Neil young is in a lot of bands
More of Jess’ bag but she thinks Lorde is a lil witch beyond her years
Great 90s tunes
I don't get it.
A soaring debut!!!!
“It’s up there as far as punk goes, but it’s still just punk. I dunno” -IH
Noting it is a strong 3… a fun ride… hehe
Needs help
After the first song it is a rapid decline into retail monotony
Maybe the best doors? Almost a 4... almost.
Maggie was abusive to Rod
Too art school and just not very good!!!!!!
BOSSanova
Low 4
Like more portishead sorta
Stop the strings
Not their best, heavy sabbath influence.
We both loved it. As Ian observed it is certainly not “background music” - it is rather intense and demands to be listened to! It is very beautiful
Pleasant.
It’s too long & quite inconsistent throughout - quality can be hugely different per song
A strong 4
One good song.
Excellent, progresses while keeping you in your toes.
Also, an extended addition that's worth the extra time.
Perfectly serviceable psych-fuck. Sly stone would either be proud, or pissed that the brits are rehashing his sound.
It is a strong 3 though…. It’s fun…..
We were on the fence between a 4 and a half. Do think it is his best, but is it Ian’s favourite? No? But sometimes, you must distinguish between *the* best and *your* favourite………..
4 with issues it must be noted
Purty.
Easy listening at it's best?
It's a little much. But ok.
Hippie nonsense.
It’s a high 4
Sometimes they think they are Radiohead But this is a mixup They are also imitating oasis a lot understandably
Too long for a 5
Pretentious. Artsy. Crap!!!!!!!
3
Not their best. A bit noisy and lofi.
Could've showed some restraint with the skits, but solid.
Their crowning achievement acc Ian. Jess disagrees.
