My throat hurts from listening to this. I think the songs no life was the one I kind of liked. The drums, guitars and everything are not bad, it’s just the vocals that make in unlistenable for me.

This is the 2nd album of Tom Waits I’m rating. The first one was to weird for me, but this one is great. Good variety in the songs and some many great ones. This is the second album of LCD Soundsystem I’m rating. The first one I liked better. In a list of 1001 albums I think LCD soundsystem shouldn’t be in there twice. One album is fine for me, but I am sure there are more essential albums than this one.

If you’re into folk music this is a good album. Couldn’t listen to it on Spotify, but managed to find it on YouTube. Nice variety of easy going songs.

It is great to hear Tom Waits interact with the room, tell stories and sings his songs. But I am just not a big fan of the live recording albums. Rather have a real studio recording or be there at the live show. Music is good, just not an album I enjoy.

Brilliant classic album. Everyone knows the cover of this album, I knew quitte some songs. But it’s an different experience when listening it as a whole. Listened to it twice and the second time it was even better. The songs individually are great but get stronger as a whole. No wonder this is such a legendary album. David Bowie is without a doubt a legendary artist and he should be in the list of 1001 best albums. Not sure if this is the album that should be in here.. The production is great, the songs are not. They don’t get to me.

First listen the album was okay. Second time listening I really loved it. Maybe I was expecting more funk the first time, like the albums I heard from him before. Not a big fan of live albums and seeing the reviews I am not the only one. The Who is great and the songs are too, but I prefer them on the album where they belong. The music is great, just don’t understand why there are live albums in this list.

Unexpected but very good ! This is what you can call an album. The songs on their own are good but together as an album they are even better. Sometimes songs of 10 minutes get boring but in this case they keep it interesting and I liked every minute of it. Normally I would write down my favourite songs, but this album should be listened as a whole.

2.5/5 Sometimes I can appreciate hiphop and/or rap, but most of the times it doesn’t do it for me. For this album it’s the same, although their style is unique and I can imagine they inspired a lot of artists. Not bad to listen to for one time, but I don’t need to try it a second time.

The title already says it.. Music for airports.. I mean, the music is calm and relaxing and may be great for studying or as background music. But this is a list for the best albums and I think there are thousands of albums that deserve the spot of this album.

This man is insane and brilliant. Rap and Hiphop are not my genres but I make an exception for Eminem. His lyrics and storytelling is so good you just listen to the whole album like a book. I can hear the quality in his music and understand why people enjoy his music. I really like his voice and the way he build up this album, but it’s not something I would put on myself. I enjoyed it and it deserves a place in this list.

Everybody knows Iron maiden, including me. But never took the time to listen to a full album until now and I don’t regret it. The hard rock combined with the vocals and melodic chorus makes all the songs very easy to listen to, even if they are 6 minutes or longer. Favourite songs: - The prisoner - Run to the hills

I admire his creativity and the idea to make a concept album/movie soundtrack. But I can not keep up with the story and it starts to bore me. Music is great to sleep on, but that’s not why I am on this website rating albums.

I think in this genre there are some better albums. Still enjoyed this one. The only thing missing in the band is some great vocals. The riffs and sound they have is amazing, just not a bit fan of the vocals.

I have mentioned before in this list that I am not a big fan of live albums. I totally understand that this was a great performance, but if I wasn’t there it I would prefer a studio album most of the time. They are playing great and the instrumental parts for minutes long are amazing. But not something I would listen to again. Still worth 3 stars though

On this one I had no idea what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. He has a beautiful voice and together with an orchestra sound it all comes together. The album starts off very strong, but the second part ain’t that bad also. I absolutely enjoyed it and I will try more of Rufus Wainwright. Radiohead has some of the best albums ever made. But this one didn’t blow me away like others. Few good songs, but overall not great.. His voice gets annoying and whiny sometimes. Too bad I was expecting something better.

I said before I’m not a big fan of live recordings, but this is one of the exceptions. His talks between the songs are even nice to listen to. And the location (prison) give some songs something extra. Loved it !

I knew Kraftwerk only from name and that they were revolutionary in their time. For the 70’s I can imagine this was something new. Autobahn the song is very long but in some way I keep listening. After that the album dies out and gets boring for me.

It’s hard to review this album with everything this man has said and done. Even though this was all before that. I never understood the hype around him, after listening to this album it makes a little bit more sense. Just based on the music it’s very good, also for not big rap fans. Still it’s hard to listen to him. Because this is a music platform I’ll give the rating just based on the music.

For me Eminem is unique in his genre. I like the way he plays with the words and raps about heavy themes. Some songs are a bit too dark. The collabs with some other rappers weren’t necessary, but overall a great album. It’s hard to choose some favourites because it feels like an album where the songs are connected and even tough some songs are great on its own, they are part of the whole album story.

Big fan of Alex turner and especially the arctic monkeys, so I was of course very excited when this one came on the list, since I only listened to it once some time ago. I like the sound and feel of the album, but still it feels like something is missing. Still I keep listening, enjoying it and hearing different things every time. No favourite song because nothing really stood out but together it works quitte well.

Feels like he has a lot to say and he did. Not my taste. I don’t mind the political themes, just make it a bit more exciting instead of making it sound like a long monologue over a beat. At the end of the album there were some better songs, still it couldn’t save it.

Before this album I only knew OutKast from their two hits. I was pleasantly surprised by this album. It’s a double album and it also feels like two different albums, probably why they chose two names. I liked “The Love Below” more.
