I don’t know how to comment on this. It’s not bad, the music is beautiful it’s just a bit too slow and boring. Maybe in a movie it would fit on the background.
Normally not a fan of this genre. This album was actually quitte okay. Bit too long for me though. Favourite song: - Sometimes
2.5/5 She has something in her voice that makes you want to listen. It’s not my favourite style and genre, but still enjoyed some songs. Wouldn’t return to this album probably.

Same review as all albums in this genre, it’s not bad but for me it’s just background music..

Nothing compares 2 U is a great song, but the rest of the album didn’t do it for me..
This is the second album of LCD Soundsystem I’m rating. The first one I liked better. In a list of 1001 albums I think LCD soundsystem shouldn’t be in there twice. One album is fine for me, but I am sure there are more essential albums than this one.
If you’re into folk music this is a good album. Couldn’t listen to it on Spotify, but managed to find it on YouTube. Nice variety of easy going songs.
The beginning of the album is great, later it’s too much of the same sound for me. But overall a good album. Favourite songs: - From out of nowhere - Epic - Woodpecker from Mars

Nope, couldn’t enjoy this.
3.5/5 Listened to a bunch of songs, never a complete album until now. Not disappointed. Good guitar riffs and easy to listen to. Favourite songs: - Rockin’ around (with you) - American girl

Really enjoyed the album and discovered some new songs too. Favourite songs: - Heart-shaped box - Rape me - Frances farmer will have her revenge on Seattle - All apologies
2.5/5 Not bad but no song really got me. Maybe worth another try.
So many short and fun songs. It is hard to choose my favourite songs out of so many songs. But it’s a great album, fun to listen to with the strange and funny lyrics. Favourite songs: - Teenage kicks - Get over you - Here comes the summer
This is something new, hard to describe it or put it in a genre. In some way I liked it, his voice has something strange that I want to keep listening to. Not something to listen to all the time. Favourite songs: - Hope there’s someone - Fistful of love
It is great to hear Tom Waits interact with the room, tell stories and sings his songs. But I am just not a big fan of the live recording albums. Rather have a real studio recording or be there at the live show. Music is good, just not an album I enjoy.
I enjoy the smiths once in a while. Their sound is pleasant to listen to. Not my favourite album but it is okay. Favourite songs: - The headmasters ritual - That joke isn’t funny anymore
They sing good and theosophist are quitte catchy sometimes, but it’s just not something I enjoy listening to so much.

Never heard of bad company but this is some great 70’s rock. All songs have a great sound, solid album! Favourite songs: - Can’t get enough - Ready for love
Brilliant classic album. Everyone knows the cover of this album, I knew quitte some songs. But it’s an different experience when listening it as a whole. Listened to it twice and the second time it was even better. The songs individually are great but get stronger as a whole. No wonder this is such a legendary album. Favourite songs: - Come together - Here comes the sun - Golden slumbers/Carry that weight/the end
3.5/5 Willie Nelson is always good. All new songs for me, but I like the way he tells a story with his guitar as background music. Favourite songs: - Blue skies - All of me
Bob Dylan is something unique. His music is build differently and I enjoy it. Not really a song that stand out for me, but a good album as a whole.
Classic country album, amazing ! Waylon is legendary and this music never gets old for me. Hopefully there will be some more albums of him on the list. Favourite songs: - Honky tonk heroes - Old five and dimers like me - Black rose
2.5/5 Not my music genre, still this was not bad. But after a while the songs all sound the same. It has a nice easy vibe and was not as bad as I thought it would be. Favourite song: - Wandering star
I tried it twice but the quality was bad and also I am not a big fan of live albums. And then the music was too weird for me..
So much variety on this album. It can never beat rumours. But it has its own style and I quitte like it. Something different. Favourite songs: - What makes you think you are the one - Not that funny - Tusk
3.5/5 Took some time before the album got to me and this is not completly my style and genre. But in the end I can see why this album is on the list and also why she is such a beloved artist. Her voice is something you can’t stop listening to. Favourite songs : - Me and Bobby McGee - Mercedes Benz - Cry baby
Love their sound. Sometimes it’s too much of te same for me. But overall a pleasant album to listen to. Favourite songs: - Radio free Europe - Perfect circle - We walk
Decent album, I enjoyed listening to it but not an album I would buy or play often. Favourite song: - Tears of rage
First Kiss album I ever listened to. I do understand why they were so big in their time. The album is good, but for me no song really jumped out. All songs are good and enjoyable, nothing special.
3.5/5 Old but gold, buddy holly and the chirping crickets are legends. The short but sweet songs are all easy to listen to and cheered me up. Favourite songs: - Maybe baby - Rock me my baby
The album started off not bad, musically it was good. Only the songs in falsetto I disliked and there were to many of them.
I tried.. but I will not finish this album. It’s more than one hour of the same.. maybe on the background or with drugs this sounds nice, but for me this is very boring.
Love Aerosmith but never listened a full album of them. Not disappointed after this one. Walk this way is a banger, but the other songs were good too. Overall 3.5 or 4 somewhere in between. Favourite songs: - Walk this way - Big ten inch record - Sweet emotion
2.5/5 Musically it’s a great album and probably the music is great as background in the movie. To listen to as an album is less interesting for me.
Fantastic album! Amazing voice and she is a great storyteller. I will really liked this album and will also check out her other albums. Favourite songs: - Talkin’ bout a revolution - Fast car - Behind the wall
Love their sound! Never heard of these guys, but it’s not bad. The language barrier makes it less interesting. Still it’s a good album and I enjoyed listening to it Favourite song: - Soubour
Fantastic album! The first time it was okay, but the second time I listened to it was amazing. Can’t wait for the third try. The start of the album is the best and dear god is a good finish. Love the way some of the songs flow over into eachother. Favourite songs: - Summer’s cauldron - Grass - The meeting place - Dear God Honourable mention: ballet for a rainy day + 1000 umbrellas
I do like the Bee Gees and this album is not bad. So I would give it 3 out of 5, not super but still enjoyable. It is a little to dramatic for me. A few Favourite song: - Israel
First time listening to fats domino, only knew him by name. Great songs, short but all very happy. Favourite songs: - blueberry hill - blue monday - so long
Not my type of music. Some songs were okay and it’s not terrible to listen to, just not for me. Favourite song: - Utopia
2.5/5 Some songs on the album we’re okay even though they were very long. It’s not bad just not completely my thing.
3.5/5 As I read in the comments it’s either you hate Coldplay or you love them. Still I am somewhere in between. The way the music is composed is great and I can understand why people love it and see the quality. But it doesn’t get to me, the album is good some also individual songs are great. It got better when I listened the album again so I will give it 4 stars as 3.5 is not possible. Favourite songs - Yellow - Trouble - High speed
Starting to love his music more every time I put on one of his albums. Such a extraordinary voice and musically solid. Again a great album ! Favourite songs: - Saving all my love for you - Downtown - On the nickel
Not my kind of music. Too weird and experimental. It was not horrible to listen to, just not for me.
Heard a lot about the Smiths, but never listened an album. I was not disappointed! Great sound, love his voice. Sometimes a little bit repetitive, but overall a great album. Also the timing of this album in my list can’t be coincidental ;) Favourite songs: - Frankly, Mr Shankly - Cementry gates - There is a light that never goes out
Catchy but also with a message. Not completely my type of music, but for one album it’s nice. Sex machine was not necessary for me, sounded more like a jam session. Favourite songs: - Stand - Don’t call me nigger, whitey - Everyday people
It’s a pity that his albums are removed from spotify, although I understand his decision. Loved the album though. It’s just so easy to listen to, I could put this album easily on repeat. Favourite songs: - Down by the river - The losing end
Legendary. Can’t explain why but this album is just amazing. It has so many weird sounds and voices in it but it intriges me. Normally I would pick my favourite songs, in this case I can’t pick one because the album is just one big song.
2.5/5 I admire the idea of this project, but it’s just too much. One album of 3 hours long.. I enjoyed it more than I thought and almost finished the whole album. Some songs are quitte good, but I don’t remember the titles because there were so many. Is they just chose 16 songs this albums would be getting a higher rating. Favourite song: - Book of love
Nothing special, just an standard soft rock album. I think they are not so bad, but all the songs are just mediocre. Not special enough to be on the list in my opinion. Favourite song: - Vagabond holes
Amazing album. It was already on my list of albums I should listen to. The diversity in the album is great and it’s filled with great songs. Exactly what I like! Favourite songs: - Take me out - The dark of the matinée - Michael
Funny album and quitte enjoyable. Not something I would listen to regularly. But for one time it was fun. Favourite song: - Billericay Dicky
3.5/5 Funky and very catchy! I knew the songs but not the artists. Sometimes too repetitive for me, overall a good album! Favourite songs: - Le freak - I want your love - At last I am free
Pretty good, some different vibes. He has clearly an opinion and the lyrics are not hiding this. Sometimes too long and repetitive but overall enjoyable. Favourite song: - Wonder Wonder
3.5/5 The song purple rain is truly a masterpiece, the album was for me less good than expected. When doves cry is another great songs, but the other ones didn’t get to me. Overall I enjoyed it, but my expectations were higher. Favourite songs: - When dives cry - Purple rain
David Bowie is without a doubt a legendary artist and he should be in the list of 1001 best albums. Not sure if this is the album that should be in here.. The production is great, the songs are not. They don’t get to me.
Long and a lot of instrumental parts, but for some reason I kept listening. The songs could be somewhat shorter for me. Overall I enjoyed it and have to listen to this one again. Favourite song : - Giggy smile
3.5/5 Loved it ! First album of John Lee Hooker I listened to ever. The variety in the songs is not very big, but for some reason it doesn’t matter. Every song has its own thing and I just kept listening. I have to listen to it again to find my favourites on this album.
This is a nice change in music style compared the the previous albums I got. Some great songs to put the volume up and scream along. The whole album was decent, might have to listen to it again for a better opinion. Favourite songs: - Touch me I’m sick - Sweet young thing ain’t sweet no more
Some cool stuff in this album. But mainly instrumental and weird. He is trying to make something different and that he achieved.
2.5/5 Never heard of her but I like her voice. The songs are good but get boring and repetitive after a while. Still not bad and I enjoyed it. Favourite song: - Shadow boxer
Classic soft rock album! It is nothing special but for me it works. I listened to the album while taking a walk and that was perfect. Just easy going and that’s all. Favourite songs: - Bitter sweet symphony - The drugs don’t work - Lucky man
First listen the album was okay. Second time listening I really loved it. Maybe I was expecting more funk the first time, like the albums I heard from him before. THis voice is great and the songs are very well produced. Favourite songs: - Superstition - Blame it on the sun - I believe (when I fall in love with you it will be forever)
Not a big fan of live albums and seeing the reviews I am not the only one. The Who is great and the songs are too, but I prefer them on the album where they belong. The music is great, just don’t understand why there are live albums in this list.
Unexpected but very good ! This is what you can call an album. The songs on their own are good but together as an album they are even better. Sometimes songs of 10 minutes get boring but in this case they keep it interesting and I liked every minute of it. Normally I would write down my favourite songs, but this album should be listened as a whole.
2.5/5 Sometimes I can appreciate hiphop and/or rap, but most of the times it doesn’t do it for me. For this album it’s the same, although their style is unique and I can imagine they inspired a lot of artists. Not bad to listen to for one time, but I don’t need to try it a second time.
Masterpiece! 1 hour and 45 minutes of pure class. Everything in this album is amazing, his voice, the production, the lyrics. I was already a small fan of his work but never took the time for the full album. It is hard to pick favourite songs, there are many worth mentioning but I will pick 3. Favourite songs: - Sir Duke - Isn’t she lovely - As
The title already says it.. Music for airports.. I mean, the music is calm and relaxing and may be great for studying or as background music. But this is a list for the best albums and I think there are thousands of albums that deserve the spot of this album.
What the funk! Not a genre I would dive into quickly, but this album is nice! Really funky and not too long.
I think I was not in the mood for this album, so might have to try it again. I like his voice and his style. The album is good but no song jumped out for me.
Love her voice! It’s not completely my style, still I enjoyed this album. It’s good as a whole and has some nice songs on it. Favourite song: - One big love
Not very familiar with Depeche mode, only knew them by name. But I was pleasantly surprised. The album got beter the second time I listened to it. I like their style and will try more of their albums. Favourite songs: - Personal Jesus - Halo - Enjoy the silence
Amazing album opener, the rest of the album was pretty good but can never beat the opener.
Wasn’t expecting an album like this to be on the list, but I liked it. For sure not one of the greatest but there have been far worse. It’s a fun album with the western style and his way of storytelling is just great. Nothing special but just fun to listen to.
3.5/5 Only knew Dusty Springfield by name before I listened to this, but her voice sounded immediately familiar. The music is catchy and her voice is great. Really enjoyed this. Favourite songs: - Mama said - You don’t own me
3.5/5 It’s nice to have some variation in genre and music in this list. This was an album where I didn’t know what to expect, but I liked it. Could have gone both ways. The songs are short and that makes them actually good. Sounds like they just make what they want and don’t bother to fit in. Favourite songs: - In my mind - Liberty for our friend - Some things
3.5/5 Easy going soft rock album. I enjoyed this one, the style of the songs stays the same but never bores. Not a great album, but for sure something I would like to listen to again. Favourite songs: - I can’t sleep - There she goes - I.O.U.
This man is insane and brilliant. Rap and Hiphop are not my genres but I make an exception for Eminem. His lyrics and storytelling is so good you just listen to the whole album like a book. Even though some songs are weird it’s still good. Favourite songs: - My name is - Guilty conscience - Rock bottom
3.5/5 Such a beautiful voice, he can make songs sound so dramatic. Of course I knew him by name but didn’t have a big knowledge of his work. This album has quitte some variation in it and kept me interested till the end. Favourite songs: - Praying for time - Freedom ‘90! - Waiting
3.5/5 I have to try more albums of Black Sabbath. It’s a great Dad rock band and I don’t know enough about them. Favourite songs: - Changes - Supernaut
I like the who but this is just a weird concept and not pleasant to listen to.
Bad quality of the record and also the music is terrible.
Reminds me of billy Joel, somehow has the same style and similar voice. The album is quitte easygoing and enjoyable. Nothing special but I enjoyed it. Favourite songs: - I.G.Y. - New frontier
If you want a definition of 80s rock, this is it for me. Not an album I would put on very often but I really enjoyed it. Favourite songs: - Photograph - Stagefright - Rock of ages
Good voice, but for me it has nothing special. The album stays quitte the same.
I can hear the quality in his music and understand why people enjoy his music. I really like his voice and the way he build up this album, but it’s not something I would put on myself. I enjoyed it and it deserves a place in this list.
3.5/5 Not a big Coldplay fan but still now the majority of the songs on this album. I wouldn’t buy the album but don’t mind hearing some of its songs once in a while. Some songs have been overplayed by the radio but I still enjoyed it. Favourite songs: - Politik - The scientist - Clocks
3.5/5 The more I listened to it the better the album became. First time it was strange but still good and after the second time it became better. Favourite songs: - Race for the price - A spoonful weighs a ton - The spiderbite song
Everybody knows Iron maiden, including me. But never took the time to listen to a full album until now and I don’t regret it. The hard rock combined with the vocals and melodic chorus makes all the songs very easy to listen to, even if they are 6 minutes or longer. Favourite songs: - The prisoner - Run to the hills
Old but gold! Shorts songs but an easy to listen to album. At the end of the album I got a bit distracted because it was all quitte the same. Still enjoyed it and will look up some of their other work. Favourite songs: - Mr. Tambourine man - I’ll feel a whole lot better
2.5/5 He has a great voice and the songs are good, but I can not listen to his music for more than one album. It gets repetitive and a bit boring. But overall not bad.
Can’t say anything bad about the songs, her voice or the album in general other than it’s just not my style. I understand why it’s on the list, but it just doesn’t do anything to me.
As I said about previous live albums, not a fan. It’s great when you know the artist or if you were at the concert. But if not, I prefer a studio album. Still he is a legend and the music is great.
Such a great voice this man has! The album is quitte good, it’s starts off great with faith and father figure. I want your sex is not his best work but okay, after that it gets better again. When I am in the mood for this kind of music I will try some of his other albums. Favourite songs: - Faith - Father figure - One more try
Not for me.. for its time it must have been revolutionary and inspiring for many artist. Electronic albums like this can’t interest me.
2.5/5 First of all, the Spotify version (from his son) is way different than the original which you can find on YouTube. The original is quitte nice. It has this calm over it that is very relaxing. Not something I will listen to a lot, but for one time it was good.
I knew more Carole King songs then I thought.. I heard of her name of course, but never linked the songs to her. The album is great, you can hear she is a great singer and songwriter. I enjoyed the album a lot. Favourite songs: - it’s too late - you’ve got a friend - where you lead
3.5/5 The title of the album says it all, Rock ‘N Soul, a great combination of the both genres. First time listening to Solomon Burke, but he is great! Wouldn’t mind to hear more from him. Favourite songs: - Cry to me - You can’t love em all
2.5/5 It’s not bad, but normally not my type of music. Still I kept interested in this album, so I’m having a hard time to rate this album. Maybe I should try it again some time. I like how the songs flow into eachother. Favourite song: - Frontier psychiatrist
2.5/5 Just an average album. Not bad but none of the songs jump out for me and the sound is quitte the same all the time.
Not bad! No seriously. Great album, great artist. I’m not a big Michael Jackson fan, but I knew almost the whole album. It contains some classics but also some less popular songs which are great. Don’t know what else to say other than that I really enjoyed this album. 4.5/5 Favourite songs: - The way you make me feel - Liberian girl - Man in the mirror - I just can’t stop loving you
I admire his creativity and the idea to make a concept album/movie soundtrack. But I can not keep up with the story and it starts to bore me. Music is great to sleep on, but that’s not why I am on this website rating albums.
I think in this genre there are some better albums. Still enjoyed this one. The only thing missing in the band is some great vocals. The riffs and sound they have is amazing, just not a bit fan of the vocals.
Weird… but not in a good way. Some songs were ok, but overall pretty bad.
