2.5/5 First of all, the Spotify version (from his son) is way different than the original which you can find on YouTube. The original is quitte nice. It has this calm over it that is very relaxing. Not something I will listen to a lot, but for one time it was good.

I knew Kraftwerk only from name and that they were revolutionary in their time. For the 70’s I can imagine this was something new. Autobahn the song is very long but in some way I keep listening. After that the album dies out and gets boring for me.

This is the second album of LCD Soundsystem I’m rating. The first one I liked better. In a list of 1001 albums I think LCD soundsystem shouldn’t be in there twice. One album is fine for me, but I am sure there are more essential albums than this one.

Unexpected but very good ! This is what you can call an album. The songs on their own are good but together as an album they are even better. Sometimes songs of 10 minutes get boring but in this case they keep it interesting and I liked every minute of it. Everybody knows Iron maiden, including me. But never took the time to listen to a full album until now and I don’t regret it. The hard rock combined with the vocals and melodic chorus makes all the songs very easy to listen to, even if they are 6 minutes or longer. Favourite songs: - The prisoner - Run to the hills

2.5/5 First of all, the Spotify version (from his son) is way different than the original which you can find on YouTube. The original is quitte nice. It has this calm over it that is very relaxing. Not something I will listen to a lot, but for one time it was good.

I admire his creativity and the idea to make a concept album/movie soundtrack. But I can not keep up with the story and it starts to bore me. Music is great to sleep on, but that’s not why I am on this website rating albums.

I think in this genre there are some better albums. Still enjoyed this one. The only thing missing in the band is some great vocals. The riffs and sound they have is amazing, just not a bit fan of the vocals.

I have mentioned before in this list that I am not a big fan of live albums. I totally understand that this was a great performance, but if I wasn’t there it I would prefer a studio album most of the time. They are playing great and the instrumental parts for minutes long are amazing. But not something I would listen to again. Still worth 3 stars though

Alice in chain, this fits right up my alley, but never really listened to them, so I was very exited about this one. It took some time, but after the first time listening it got so much better. On this one I had no idea what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. He has a beautiful voice and together with an orchestra sound it all comes together. The album starts off very strong, but the second part ain’t that bad also. I absolutely enjoyed it and I will try more of Rufus Wainwright. I said before I’m not a big fan of live recordings, but this is one of the exceptions. His talks between the songs are even nice to listen to. And the location (prison) give some songs something extra. Loved it !

I knew Kraftwerk only from name and that they were revolutionary in their time. For the 70’s I can imagine this was something new. Autobahn the song is very long but in some way I keep listening. After that the album dies out and gets boring for me.
