Dire Straits has such an iconic sound. You have to love them. Sultans of Swing is probably one of the best songs ever.
Rating: 4/5 (A very good listen)
Standouts: Sultans of Swing, Water of Love,
Others: Down to the Waterline, Setting Me Up, In the Gallery, Wild West End,
This album just gets too much love all the time. Ever since I was a kid, all I heard was Tapestry this, Tapestry that. It is so overhyped that I had it in my mind that I should hate it. But, listen to it. It is so easy to enjoy. So many great songs and her voice is really nice.
Can't hate what is great.
Standouts: So Far Away, It's Too Late, I Feel the Earth Move, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, You've Got a Friend, Natural Woman, Tapestry
Others: Beautiful, Where You Lead,
Rating: 5/5
Great!
Standouts (5/5): Brass in Pocket, Stop Your Sobbing, Kid, Precious, Mystery Achievement, The Wait, Private Life, Lovers of Today
4/5: Up the Neck, Space Invader
Rating: 5/5
Green Onion is classic and they do some decent covers of Rinky Dink, I got a Woman, Twist and Shout, Stranger on a Shore, Lonely Avenue, One Who Really Loves You, You Can't Sit Down, A Woman A Lover A Friend and Comin' Home Baby....
Yes, the entire album other than Green Onions and Mo Green Onions are just cover versions. They give the songs their own flavor, but any band can do covers.....
The Standout Covers: Behave Yourself, Lonely Avenue, and Comin' Home Baby...
Rating: 3.5
A very well produced album. Jam packed with memorable sounds and songs.
Standouts: Sledgehammer, Don't Give Up, Big Time, In Your Eyes, Red Rain, That Voice Again, Mercy Street.
Many of the songs are / were overplayed, but overall there is no doubt this is a classic pop album.
5/5 Classic. Every song is perfect.
Bring back some great memories. Some true classics. 4/5
Pretty jam packed with classics. Going Down…..

Freddy's Dead, Change, Ma & Pa, Pouring Rain, One Day, I Like to Hide Behind My Glasses
Others (4/5):
Question of Life, Subliminal Fascism, Mighty Long Way, Deep Inside

Basically a Greatest Hits albums, which I thought weren't allowed on this list. Why is this one ok but something like the Eagles Greatest Hits isn't...
In any case...let's continue... It's an older style of music that really doesn't fit with any playlist that I would ever play. It is good, and to listen to an album like this every once in a while is cool.
Best Tracks (5/5): Cry to Me
Others (4/5): Can't Nobody Love You, You Can't Love Them All, He'll Have to Go, Goodbye Baby

Classic Classic-Rock album.
So many GREATS: Walk this Way, Sweet Emotion, Big Ten Inch, Toys in the Attic!
5/5. Can I give it a 6/5
You won't find very many albums better than this one.
Really great. RIP Sinead.
Classic and an important record because it brought in a whole new wave of fans to the genre.
I'm one of those that don't get the love for Bob Dylan. His voice goes from OK to annoying to interestingly good from song to song. This is one of the better albums though, with several well known songs.
4/5
Pink Floyd (Debut Album) 1967
Psychedelic Rock, acid pop, experimental rock, space rock
Sometimes I don't know which version of the album to listen to. This one has a UK release, US release and the 40th Anniversary edition (which includes the songs on both UK and US releases.... So I pretty much went with the 40th Anniversary edition so I can get it all in.
Either way, the Syd Barrett Pink Floyd is SO different than the Pink Floyd I grew up listening to. I really didn't like this album the first several time I listened to it. BUT, as I kept listening to it because of it's inclusion on this list, I really grew to love it. It is hard to consider it Pink Floyd - because it is so completely different. Yes, I think it is great now.

Definitely not the best album cover, but it's what inside that matters!
Bad Moon Rising, Lodi, Green River, Commotion, Night Time is the Right Time, and Tombstone Shadow are all five-star classics. The remaining songs are solid with the standout of them being Wrote a Song for Everyone.
No complaints but just wish it was bit longer.
Rating: 5/5
One of my favorite albums of all time. I.G.Y. (What a Beautiful World) was the song that brought most of us to the album. I'm so glad that I liked the song so much that I bought the album... it immediately appealed to me.
Favorite tracks: IGY, New Frontier, Maxine, Ruby Baby, Green Flower Street, The Goodbye Look, Walk Between the Raindrops, and The Nightfly.
Rating: 5/5 (Brilliant)
By the way... I.G.Y. = "International Geophysical Year" July 1957 to December 1958.

Standouts: Black Magic Woman, Oye Como Va, Samba Pa Ti, Hope You're Feeling Better

Love it. This is one of his best!
It is a fine album to listen to. No really complaints. It just seems pretty average. Couldn’t they find something more worthwhile?

This album changed rock music forever.
5/5
Progressive rock. Probably one of the most difficult genres to get into (for those that aren't already fans of that style of music.)
I've heard this album before. Several times. It is always on lists like this, so I have given it many chances. I still don't get it. I like Brain Salad Surgery so much more.

I Can See for Miles is great, then there are a few pretty decent songs. Nothing great here. 3.75
Hate to admit how good this is.
While You See a Chance and Arc of a Diver are 5/5, the rest are solid.

I Love ELO but this is a lot at once. Maybe if this was a single album instead of a double-album.... anyways still good. 4/5
Tom Sawyer was one of my favorite songs growing up. I got this album, not really being a Rush fan. I knew all my friends said 2112 was their greatest album. I got that one too, and think this one is 100X better.
Side 1 with Tom Sawyer leading it off followed by Red Barchetta, YYZ, and Limelight is perfection. Side 2 doesn't compare but it still pretty great.
5/5
Classic: Silent all These Years, Crucify
What a unique style.
Rating: 4.5
One of the most perfect albums ever made. Classic start to finish - every song is 5/5.
Brilliant. I love every song.
5/5
Easy. Classic. Every song is amazing.
Standouts: Two out of Three Ain't Bad, Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth, Bat Out of Hell, For Crying Out Loud
Um. Ummmm. I…. ? What was that? The most interesting part was learning about the controversial calendar it came with. There was one song maybe and a lot of noise. I guess it could be interesting at times. Still giving it 3/5 is generous. 2.5 for me.
Love this F&^$ing album!
Standouts: Everything! Every F&^$ing song!
5/5
Absolutely brilliant. 5/5.
Number 9, Number 9, Number 9.... Ok that one, Revolution 9, has always been a bit odd, but I've grown to love it.
The whole album is classic - full of amazing songs.
Classic, classic rock album from the supergroup, Cream.
Standouts: Sunshine of Your Love, Strange Brew, World of Pain, Blue Condition, SWLABR, Tales of Brave Ulysses, Outside Woman Blues, Take it Back, Mother's Lament.
Also ran: We're Going Wrong, Dance the Night Away.
*SWLABR is an initialism that stands for "She Walks Like A Bearded Rainbow" the "W" could also be interpreted as "was," so "She Was Like A Bearded Rainbow".
Rating 4.5 / 5
Iconic album and sound.
Standouts: Gimme All Your Lovin', Legs, Sharp Dressed Man, TV Dinners, Got Me Under Pressure.
5/5
Wayyyyyyyy better this time than the first time I listened to it a couple years ago. Sometimes I rate albums unfairly and didn’t give this one a chance. Glad to have a second chance with a separate account.
I like it good and hard - that's what she said. :)
For me, it kind of sounds like an Industrial version of Metallica. I liked it.
One great song. The rest is pretty good.
Difficult one. It’s so cheesy…so “nice”…. I dont know if I like it, love it, or just hate it. Depended on the day and my mood. I’ll go mid on it. 3/5
One of the best albums ever and the Beatles have 2 or 3 that are better than this one?
Love this album. Start to finish it is a classic.
Favorite: No Sleep ‘Till Brooklyn.
First We Take Manhattan! Then the world. Thank God for Leonard Cohen. When I see those questions about who would you bring back from the dead for just one more concert....for me, it's always Leonard Cohen.
This is not my favorite album by him, but it is still great.
Standouts: First We Take Manhattan, Take this Waltz, Everybody Knows, I'm Your Man, Ain't no Cure for Love.... damn everything!
