Nevermind
NirvanaGreat to listen to this album properly again, from start to end, for the first time in thirty years or so. It's so good. Happy days.

Such an inventive record. I preferred 'Radiator' which just had a bit more heart I think but this album is terrific too.
Memories of all the metal fans at school! I've never tried to listen to Metallica properly and I had to really battle with my prejudices about the genre to listen to this all the way through. The tracks are SO LONG and pompous.... proper rock songs should be two/three minutes long surely. 2/5 stars for me BUT the last two minutes of 'One' are amazing, incredibly exhilarating! I liked 'Harvester of Sorrow' too and the Wizard of Oz bit on 'Frayed Ends of Sanity'.
All a bit too cheesy for my tastes I'm afraid. It's all very NICE. The alliteration... and that version of 'Everybody's Talkin' is unforgivable. 'Lady of the island' is quite lovely though.
Just terrific. Every track a winner.
What a fantastic album! So cool. I loved 'Infinity'.
Solid 5 star album. This is so lovely.
Great to listen to this album properly again, from start to end, for the first time in thirty years or so. It's so good. Happy days.
Some nice jangly moments but nothing special...
Very bracing!
I found this unbearably twee.
Brilliant album. Pure joy from start to finish.
Excellent stuff.
I really enjoyed this, although I wished I was listening to the White Stripes a lot of the time. Also the tracks 'Tighten Up', 'These Days ' and 'Never Gonna Give You Up' got my hopes up that they might be cover versions of Nico / Rick Astley / The Untouchables but they just turned out to be more of the same. Solid 3/5.
Ugh, I love Nick Cave but this album was the one when I started to fall out of love with him alas. It's just so arch, and his vocal and lyrical style just seems really self conscious on this record. BUT There She Goes My Beautiful World is amazing and so is 'Get Ready For Love' and so is 'Carry Me'. 3/5 I'm afraid though.
Brilliant record.
I wasn't expecting the Mekons to sound like this! There are some really terrific moments here but I guess it's a 3 star.
I liked some moments of this but it just didn't grab me alas.
Good old Blonde on Blonde... like a shaggy old cat who's always happy to see you. Good stuff.
This is usually the kind of music I love but it just didn't get me... just found it annoying I'm afraid. Don't get it. 1/5 for me.
I love this record... songs which really get under your skin, especially 'Save Me' and 'Down to Zero'. 4/5
No thank you, I am going to listen to Joan Armatrading again instead. 1/5.
Hard to avoid this album in 1985! It's good, but I don't love it. 3/5
There are some great moments and Mr Brightside is definitely a great song. But I'm far from crazy about it and won't be listening again any time soon 3/5
A bit disappointing... I loved the 1980s version of the Pet Shop Boys but I found this pretty bland. Just a bit of a wash. 2/5
Oh I loved this... so playful, funky, silly and inventive! I knew the hits (and U Got The Look and Sign O The Times are amazing) but the rest of the album tracks were new to me. Souch fun. 4/5
Pretty bland fare...
I had no real desire to listen to this album again...
Good times!
Not for me thank you.
If I wanted to listen to Oasis I would just listen to Oasis (and I don't).
I loved this! Gloriously weird.
Loved this, absolutely electrifying record.
This was fun! Will listen again.
Better than I thought it would be! Some great tunes.
Very patchy album- some tracks are rotten - but the best songs - 'God Save the Queen' and 'Pretty Vacant' - are so good and the whole album is spiky, cartoony fun.
Didn't really give this my full attention to be honest... didn't grab me much.
Some lovely moments!
Oh how I love this album!
Some glorious moments!
Wonderful stuff.
Great stuff. I have always loved 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone's and it's great put it into context. Really enjoyed it and will listen again!
The lyrical content is seriously nasty 🤢 but completely see why he's so highly rated... Really playful and energising.
It's Jimi what can I say!
Lovely melancholy fragile songs.
Nope not for me.
I loved this album at the time but I wouldn't miss it if I never heard it again.
I really loved this! Springsteen was a bit of a joke when I was growing up but this was a real revelation. I especially loved 'Promised Land', 'Candy's Room' and 'Badlands'.
This sounded exactly like I expected a Foo Fighters album to sound... but it was OKAY!
I had not listened to this record before today but have now listened to it five times. It's just terrific. What a talented group of musicians at the height of their powers. Amazing to think that this is the oldest record I have had yet on this app but it sounds so fresh and new. It's Monk time!
This was so much fun!
"Hey, mighty brontosaurus! Don't you have a lesson for us?" This was awful, sorry.
Lovely record.
Fresh!
A bit too self consciously wacky for me.
Technically very well put together but it doesn't speak to me I'm afraid.
This has not survived the ravages of the years.
This was a lovely trip down memory lane but unfortunately another one which has not worn well.
Not raving but drowning!
It's Elvis! This was really fun and there was a lot I had never heard before. I especially enjoyed his extraordinary delivery of the line 'Fair exchange is no robbery' on 'One sided love affair'!
Not really for me, but you can't argue with its slickness and energy!
Not bad but nothing special. Sorry Mike.
Didn't do anything for me I'm afraid.
Oh I really wanted to like this but just couldn't get on with it...
Terrific record!!
Great stuff.
Smooooooooooooth!
It's samba!!!!
Couldn't quite get into this...
I adore this record!
Some lovely moments!
Okay, some nice moody moments! But on the whole pretty forgettable.
Okay let's go Public Enemy!! This still sounds so fresh! 😁😁😁
This was so bland ugh.
This sounds exactly as I expected. Has NOT aged well I'm afraid.
Some pretty cover versions.
Okay I liked it!!
I just found this really tiresome. I guess I can't dissociate the art from the artist in this one. He is just making very bland and anodyne versions of blues and reggae tunes, I just can't see the attraction....
It's Pixies!! It's not Doolittle though. I liked it pretty well though!!
I adored this album, so inventive with some fantastic tunes. I can't believe I didn't know this record. Has to be 5/5.
Superb moments here and happy memories.
Nope not listening to this one, sorry Slayer.
Lovely warm bath of a record.
Yes, the Haircuts!! this is peak 80s brilliance!! 4/5
Good stuff, some great moments here. Not reaching the heights of the Doors' best stuff though.
Not going to listen to this again any time soon!
I didn't get very far with this one, sorry.
I've given this a decent couple of listens and I like it! Not a lot, but I like it.
Such an inventive record. I preferred 'Radiator' which just had a bit more heart I think but this album is terrific too.
Some great moments!
Sorry just don't see the attraction of this.... :-(
I enjoyed this! It didn't quite have the 'x factor' of the Stones but there were some great moments.
Some lovely moments but a BIT on the bland side.
A bit of a rock and roll cliche but it was good to listen to it again! A girlfriend once told me she had bought me tickets to an Alice Cooper gig and I tried SO HARD to like this album... but it just washed over me to be honest.
Still a wonderful album.
Brilliant album!
Lots of fun!
Very pleasant elevator music. 2/5
I just couldn't get into this one!
Plenty of terrific moments - so much to love.
Oh I liked this! Great songs and not as cheesy as expected.
My first time listening to a Neil Young album! I liked it!!
Good to listen to this again!
Lovely memories!!
A great album - nothing that beats those opening few tracks on Nevermind but amazing bits.
Yes it's BASIE ladies and gentlemen!!
Nice stuff, will listen again 👍🏼👍🏼
Oh how I ADORE this album.
Yup, I very much enjoyed it.
<shrug>
A beautiful record which is so evocative.
Some very groovy bits!!
Some pretty moments but not for me.
I was NOT crazy about this... Pulp without the joy.
This album is just wonderful. Amazing memories.
Great album. 'Dark of the matinee' and 'Take me out' are stone cold classics.
Ridiculously enjoyable!! 1989 was a fun year.
It's Black Sabbath again! Lots of fun but no more please.
Couldn't really get on with this one, a bit of a wash!
Ah, Bridge over Troubled Water! Like a lovely snuggly cardigan. 3/5
I just find this album a bit too earnest, sorry.
What an amazing record!
Love this!!
It's a good album but not a great album! Several outstanding tracks (Girl, Run for your life, Michelle) but a lot of ho hum and MUCH too much Ringo. John Lennon's misogynistic streak really shows through on this album too.
Just an amazing album. Great piece of work.
Some gorgeous moments.
SO SMOOOOOTH!!
I can't bear to listen to this. I liked Coldplay's early stuff but everything has become so overworn that it's impossible to listen to it fresh.
It was okay!
Oh no another REM album!!!
Great to hear this again.
Brilliant album!
I cannot express how much I adore this album: every moment of every track means so much.
Oh wow, what a revelation! Great album.
It's Revolver! I adore 'And your bird can sing' and 'I'm only sleeping'.
Memories of the boys on the bus!
Okay I guess!
Sorry Elvis but I can't see the Attraction....
All very smooth.
Really enjoyed having a Stevie Wonder weekend. Lots of tracks here I'd never heard before.
Great memories, great vibes.
It's Dylan!
I'm very fond of this record but it doesn't quite strike a chord with me.
Well it's just great!
I'm glad that this album exists, but I'm not expecting to be listening to it again.
Not for me I'm afraid... I think everyone in my uni hall of residence was listening to this except me!
Love this album. So much playfulness.
Didn't grab me I'm afraid!
Nice nice.
Great! Never really listened to this when it was around. It's good stuff.
I absolutely adore this beautiful record.
What a beautiful album this is. Never stops giving.
Such a lovely record!
Deep love for this record.
Some amazing moments!
Yes this was great! Will listen again.
Wonderful album.
Found this pretty dreary I'm afraid.
O how lush! How I wish I had been cool enough to be friends with the girls who loved the Cocteau Twins!
Couldn't quite get into his one.
Not for me sorry!
